It's not surprising that he wasn't breathing given the situation.  The question will be how long it actually took to get his pulse back.  I'm not sure how long they were actually doing CPR.  If CPR was started and AED used quickly, that's the best scenario.  Likely during CPR they were attempting to intubate him as he wouldn't be breathing.  If in fact this was from Commotio Cordis (explained above) and not from an underlying heart condition and everything goes well, he could be just fine.

Thanks for the info Doc. Let's hope for the best.

"No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game - but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome ... which suddenly seems so irrelevant."

Yeah, not a good look. Players are hammering him.

"It remains the greatest tragedy to have ever occurred during an NFL game. Forty years ago today on October 24, 1971, at Tiger Stadium Detroit Lion wide receiver Chuck Hughes died on the field of a fatal heart attack with just over a minute to play in a game that would be won by the Bears 28-23.Oct 24, 2011"

I haven't seen a hard source yet, but rumor spreading is the league was set to have play resume but Taylor and McDermitt both told officials to fuck off.

I hope they used even stronger words than that. My poor Buffalo neighbors have endured a lot the last year: mass shooting at a Supermarket,  major November snow storm,  and then last week's blizzard that claimed around 40 lives

Praying this has as good an outcome as possible.

No doubt in my mind - they both covered their mouths so nobody could read lips.

I said it to my wife right away when the players headed back into the locker rooms. The 2 head coaches both agreed game needs to be postponed.

It would have been classic NFL to restart the game too.  🖕🏼

Thanks DocBenni for verifying

I got up this morning and searched for news on Hamlin's condition. News reports say he remains in critical condition at the Cincy Hospital they took him to. IMO, that EMT crew saved his life, with the CPR they performed on him. They restored his heartbeat, on the field. Prayers to him for a full recovery and to his family to ease their angst and pain.

I literally have listened to him maybe twice for a total of 30 seconds. If anyone chooses to listen beyond that, it’s on you ( not you specifically Dave, the you in general). Same as listening to Alex Jones.

Same goes for retweeting/reposting his stupid shit.  He has no impact on your life, so there is no reason to promote anything, even if it is “the stupidest thing ever”.  His next big “win”’will be getting destroyed by some former or current athlete or coach for even more views.

rinse, repeat
