Is this one of those popularity contests?
I know an old man who sleeps on pool tables.
Sounds like a popularity contest in sconnie
If he has skunks in the basement, then I'll be there ASAP to party with that guy. He should be popular.
This is like trying to follow sports talk on NPR.
Is it sacrilage to say I prefer Brian Johnson to Bon Scott?
End of thread.
I see there was a lot of free agent action today or was that free range action
Whoa.
Eagles just cut DeSean Jackson.
Evidently way too close to gang bangers.
@Al3xCole: Breaking: DeSean Jackson's gang connections troubling to Eagles http://t.co/NiwzlgRoN6
Can't blame teams for not wanting the gang problem. And if he's really throwing down gang signs during a game, well, he might not be around long anyway.
From the article...
LAPD detective Eric Crosson said he interviewed Jackson on the phone in late 2011. Crosson wouldn't reveal details of that conversation, but he described Jackson as "cooperative at the time."
Crosson also told NJ.com that he reached out to the Eagles by phone in early 2011 -- even before he interviewed Jackson -- as a courtesy to alert them to Jacksonâs connection to an alleged killer. He never received a response from the team, he said.
The following year, the Eagles signed Jackson to a five-year, $48.5 million contract extension.
Eagles play gang concern card 3 plus years later. Organizational fail.
Redskins have signed veteran center Mike McGlynn. Green Bay was one of several other teams that had shown interest in him.
Ain't no stoppin' 'em now.
For those wondering and/or wanting.
And then there's this.
Remaining free-agents. Here's a list of some still available. I think the Packers had Owen Daniels in for a visit but they must not have been impressed too much or he wants more than his worth?
Daniel Manning could be the inexpensive, 2nd-wave free agent veteran at safety we've been looking for. And wouldn't count as a FA signing since he's been released.
I wonder how bad Manning's injury was and if he's fully recovered?
WHY DO WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT SAFETY'S! PAKRZ TOLD ME THAT HYDE IS THE SAFETY, PERIOD!
Just kidding, as far as Manning goes injuries would be my concern. He had a broken leg, I wonder if he's 100% yet?
I'm curious as to how big a cut the Texans asked him to take. Guarantee someone will overpay him.
Manning
Fractured fibula... isn't that what Cobb broke?
Was scheduled to make $4.5mm this year.
Reading some of the releases out of Houston it appears Manning thought the Texans were asking for too big of a cut so opted to get released. Tells me he's going to over value himself and some team will gladly oblige him. 31, busted leg (which isn't the biggest concern). What does he have left in the tank?
I don't think it would be a bad signing, particularly as a vet presence but I just don't see the numbers lining up if the Packers were interested.
prob on rottts radar since released and will not effect comp pick for FA lost/signed
CJ The Muppet Wilson signs with Raiders
Wilson was a good, but not flashy. Consistent in run protection. Deserves a fond farewell just for tickling the ivories the night before the Super Bowl.
