From the article...

LAPD detective Eric Crosson said he interviewed Jackson on the phone in late 2011. Crosson wouldn't reveal details of that conversation, but he described Jackson as "cooperative at the time."

Crosson also told NJ.com that he reached out to the Eagles by phone in early 2011 -- even before he interviewed Jackson -- as a courtesy to alert them to Jackson’s connection to an alleged killer. He never received a response from the team, he said.

The following year, the Eagles signed Jackson to a five-year, $48.5 million contract extension.

Eagles play gang concern card 3 plus years later. Organizational fail.

Reading some of the releases out of Houston it appears Manning thought the Texans were asking for too big of a cut so opted to get released.  Tells me he's going to over value himself and some team will gladly oblige him.  31, busted leg (which isn't the biggest concern).  What does he have left in the tank?

I don't think it would be a bad signing, particularly as a vet presence but I just don't see the numbers lining up if the Packers were interested.
