I think ARod will begin working his way out of Green Bay after this. He'll be Brett's replacement in Minnesota. It's all getting clearer and clearer now!!!

These are the 4th round picks Thompson has made:

marviel underwood
brady poppinga
cory rodgers
will blackmon
allen barbre
jeremy thompson
josh sitton
tj lang

here are the 3rd rounders since people are of the opinion it would've taken a 3rd to get him

abdul hodge
jason spitz
james jones
aaron rouse
jermichael finley
morgan burnett

There are 2 budding stars - Sitton and Finley. Lots of busts - underwood, rodgers, barbre, thompson, hodge, rouse. Spitz is a decent backup, same for Poppinga, Jones is a solid #3 WR and Lang and Burnett still get incompletes (although Burnett looked good).

They still would have gotten a good player back to play this season. They also will likely have 2 third rounders in the upcoming draft.
I'd rather be collecting Lombardi's than draft picks, but maybe that's just me. If the Packers somehow win the Super with what they have at RB, I'll eat my share of crow, but I highly doubt it will happen.

At least we have established at least two facts now:
1. The Bills were showcasing Lynch and looking to move him.
2. The compensation was right there in that 3rd round pick range.
I love the assumption that Lynch = SB title automatically as well. I'd have paid that price that was published if that's what GB could have paid, and I'm not happy it didn't get done. Let's stop with the GB would win the SB without a doubt BS to serve as a faux foundation for arguments - there's enough to bitch about as it is.

You guys have some serious problems with reading comprehension. I've said repeatedly that not having a respected running game - or running back - reduces our odds to the point where it's a long shot at best. However, improving the RB situation, improves the chances for a Super Bowl. NOT guarantees.

I know it's easier for you guys attempt to paint my viewpoint as extreme as possible, but putting words in my mouth isn't the way to go.
Not sure how it's possible to misinterpret or slant this...

So, unless GB wins the SB, you'll retain your right to be pissed. What did I miss?
Hate to interrupt the mass , but I'm personally more concerned that we just lost a promising cover safety for the season AND our best coverage ILB for an undetermined period of time.

Before anyone counters that a more explosive RB is going to help TOP, check out the stats against the Bears.

And the reason TOP (and the game itself in many ways) wasn't at least a bit better against the Lions was that we kept giving the ball back to them in the 2nd half and the defense was gassed...and we still didn't give up a 2nd half TD.

Anyway, carry on.

It would have taken the Packers more than a 3rd to get him. As crazy as the Bills are, that for them, they to fill a lot of holes and realized that 2 picks are better than 1.
1.) Packers lose Morgan Burnett for the season.

2.) Packers may lose Chillar for an extended period of time.

3.) Packers fail to acquire Lynch.

4.) Queens trade for Randy Moss.

And the topper...

X4 Admin's can't create a separate thread correctly forcing posters to undergo extended clicking/carpal tunnel.

Got it.

You just can't make this schit up.

We're fresh out from happy hour earlier. Time to place another order..

I can't blame the Packers for being hesitant on him, his track record is really sketchy. I also wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo decided that a 4th round pick from the Seahawks might be more valuable than a 4th from the Packers because the Seahawks 4th might come long before the Packers'. Maybe they only would accept a 3 from the Packers. Who knows...

The guy I definitely would love to be a Packer would be D'angelo Williams, but I live in a world of reality, and that one just isn't gonna happen without a Herschel Walker type deal.

I was teasing.

There was a 12 pack of Tecate (and others) in the fridge in the RV on the drive from the ATL to NO for Super Bowl XXXI.

And I was the only person drinking it.
