Screw Longwell. I'd take my chances with Crosby before I'd call him!
Hold the **** up!! I thought we just needed to massage Crosby's ego a little more.
What? The Bears signed Olindo Mare and and he didn't miss a 35 yard chip shot?
We must all be irrational!
Get the man a god damn whore if that's what it takes to get his head straight. Otherwise, STFU about "some more time".
It will look real good leaving 3/6/9 points on the field come playoff time.
Finley, Crosby. Bye bye.

Maybe McCarthy should look at alternative treatments for Crosby: acupuncture; hypnotism; scented candles and bath oils; medicinal marijuana.
Impeach Crosby!
I'm pretty sure Crosby needs to be wrapped in swaddling clothing and gently rocked to sleep according to you boatload of pussies.

Inside 50 has not been the problem.
Distance Made Attmpts Pct 20 to 29 4 4 100% 30 to 39 5 7 71% 40 to 49 7 8 88% Ttl < 50 16 19 84% 50+ 1 8 13% Total 17 27 63%
Those stats don't include the two he missed yesterday and that first one he missed, he missed so bad it wasn't even funny. And the 50+ that he made was back on September 13th. Since then he's been 0 for 7.
With a salary of $2,400,000 and 17 field goals made, it's costing the Packers $141,176.47 per field goal.

If there was a flaming dog turd on top it would be appropriate.

This. We 'discussed' it a bit in chat today.
The bottom line is, a guy who wasn't even in the league a week or 2 ago can make FGs that our veteran kicker can't.
There is NO excuse anyone--including our coaches--can make to cover that fact up. NONE. Period.
As crazy as it may sound, we don't have anything to lose by signing a street FA. It sure as hell can't be any worse than what's happening now. A missed FG is a missed FG whether it's Crosby or someone else.
And I don't give 2 chits about Crosby's confidence or feelings. The man has 1 job to do, and he's failing miserably. Team before individuals.
Tim Mazetti?
Oh Timmy! Just a few weeks ago I heard there should be a nursing of confidence and slumps happen.
Leaving points on the field should be completely acceptable when the playoffs come around considering the offensive struggles due to the oline.
Crosby is a phucking rockstar. He just needs his nutsack tugged.

What is the league average for kickers? Certainly it's a lot better than someone that is hitting 59% of their FG attempts.
They have to do something. Mark my words- it will cost them a game, perhaps a playoff game, if they don't address this. They can't go for it on every possession.
Don't know who is available out there and I'm sure it's been mentioned already but Olindo freaking Mare drilled two FGs yesterday in the slop and poor conditions. Our guy was 0/2

The Packers are converting 29% of their 4th down tries this season, Crosby is converting 59% of his FGs, yet I still trust the offense to convert more than I do Crosby.
Updated with yesterdays misses from 42 and 43.
Twice as many attempts from 30-39 and 40-49 last year, and he was perfect on the shorter distance and basically the same (%) from the 40-49 distance. Did not realize they only attempted 3 from 50+ last year.

Since we clinched....Crosby has two games to get his **** together.
****er has morphed into Steve Sax and can't get out of it.

No other kicker with Crosby's so-so resume would survive a slump like this. He should've been gone weeks ago. The Bengals signed Josh Brown off the street and he's 6 for 6 in his first two games.
Interesting stats H5.
Before yesterday he was 84.2% inside of 50 yards. Now he is down to 76% which isn't too hot.
Part of the difference this season lies with McCarthy sending him out there 8 times already for 50+ yard kicks and 18 times over 40 yards.
He only attempted 8 kicks of over 40 yards all of last season.

2 teams replaced their kickers because they got injured, the Bears and the Bengals. Time to send japf to Green Bay. Time for a kick in the knee.
I actually cut him a little slack before yesterday since the problem was almost solely limited to 50+ yarders. He's missed more from 50+ than about 30 teams have even attempted. While I agree that NFL kickers need to hit from 50+ when called upon, I believe the league average is about 4 attempts on the year from that distance, so most coaches still don't see it as a gimmie.
That said, yesterday's kicks were as awful as they were manageable.

Agreed FS... interesting differences from this year to last (attempts and distances). He misses 2 yesterday and his % on the year drops 8 points.
Jason Wilde McCarthy, asked by @PackersReport if he still feels the same about @crosbykicks2: "Yes."
Jason Wilde âMcCarthy on if Crosby's struggles have affected strategy decisions: "Fourth-down is something we game plan every week."
Jason Wilde âMcCarthy on what players are thinking about misses: "I'm not going to sit here and act like everybody's not watching how this is handled."

McCarthy really doesn't like Jason Wilde does he? Maybe I'm off base, but he always seems confrontational with Jason's questions.
No, he has fun with Wilde.

How do you know I won't miss?
You will just picture a dog when you look at his knee.
Obviously Crosby has some hot tub pictures of MM and TT.
Crosby will make a 52yarder @ Atalnta to win the NFC.
This scenario is a nightmare. It's like when Roenicke started Kotsay in CF, you just knew it was going to cost us eventually.
More like John Axford. You just knew he was going to blow a game when he went in. Maybe Mason should talk to John and have MM talk to Roenicke. It's o.k. to make a change.
I understand that MM likes to demonstrate loyalty and support his guys, but this is getting ridiculous. Crosby has some serious issues right now, and I fear that those issues will cost us in the playoffs. And if Cosby were to cost us a game in the playoffs, would anyone be surprised?
MM owes it to the other players on the team to make a change. In the process, he can give the team a lesson about accountability.
Find something wrong with Crosby, put him on IR, and bring in a more reliable kicker. Let him compete for the job next year.

Anyone see this guy? I checked this out & it's legit. I guess the Jets brought him in for a tryout. Why not the Packers?
Obviously before he sprained his id.
Whoever decided on Mason Crosby was spot on with the "fantasy" part.
What's the difference between Mason Crosby and Gus?
One is a jackass that makes FG's.

Looks like if the stadium was remodeled with bell towers behind the goal posts we'd be all set.
Flubber.
