How do you guys do this?  I've had DirecTV since 2001.   Do you just call them up and say you want a discount?

or what?

Call them and tell them you were thinking of canceling the NFL Sunday Ticket.  They will find plenty of discounts for you, especially being a subscriber since 2001.  If you've never had the NFL Ticket, I'm sure you can get a "trial run" for free this year.   I try to call about every 6 months to find out about special discounts for current subscribers, there is always something.

Just a question. I dont have DTV (have cable) nor do I have a smart phone. But I'm wondering what happens with Sunday Ticket IF ATT is successful in acquiring DTV? Will that impact how Sunday Ticket is priced and will it allow ATT users to watch games on their smart phones and tablets? I dont know if the Max package talked about earlier allows that. Just curious what you all think will happen when/if ATT buys DTV.

just curious... but... since we're asking...

how is it possible to have time actually on your hands?  do you paint it on?  does time fall into your hands?  what does it feel like?  how do you know it's there?  how quickly does it pass from your hands to wherever it goes next?  how much is too much?

just being kindly sarcastic...   or rudely serious... i'm not sure...

I guess maybe I had a Hauser moment (where's he been lately anyway?). Anyhoo, I just thought if it could not already be done that by AT&T acquiring DTV that could put Sunday Ticket games on smart phones and tablets that would be good for those AT&T customers who for whatever reason cant watch games from their TV. They could watch from their phone while out and about doing whatever took them away from their TV set. Good business for both companies.

Did not mean to start a rucus. So I'll just shut up and take my Hauser moment punishment. LOL.

According to DirecTV, the streaming version of NFL Sunday Ticket is available for those in an apartment building where DirecTV isn't supported, as well as those living in New York City, Philadelphia or San Francisco. The service is also available at ten colleges: University of Washington, University of Texas at Austin, University of Southern California, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, University of Florida, University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Alabama, Syracuse University, Ohio State University and Harvard University.

Dammit! I just gradjuwated frum Harvard.

I had Sunday Ticket for years without paying for it.  I tried again this year and they wouldn't budge.  I didn't work too hard at it but the truth is I rarely watched the Ticket anyhow.  GB is always my local game and the best games are on national TV most of the time anyhow.  I will miss the Redzone channel but whatever.

If DTV doesn't add the Pac-12 Network soon I will leave them all together.  I am hopeful now that ATT&T has bought them out.

After several phone calls and also set up a shutoff date, said I would go to TWC or Verizon never heard back from DTV, I called them back 1 week later, said they would waive the first two pymts. of 39.95 and give me ST max for 2 months, said that was best they could, take it or leave it since they gave me free ST the last 2 years.  Definitely tougher to get a deal this year.    (took it)
