Matty Ice is licking his chops...

I think it's more Todd Gurley that's licking his chops. The Packers have the personnel to stop downfield passing attacks (Alexander, edge rushers). What they don't have is the personnel to stop power running games (especially without Kenny Clark) or receivers out of the backfield.
37-30 Packers.
They were the better team *tonight*.
Atlanta is going to be desperate for a win, they should be 2-1 but they are not.
Does Dan Quinn still have a job today ?
Remember the season when head coaches kept getting fired after playing the Packers? I want that.
Having watched the Falcons epic fail against the Cowgirls and then their failure yesterday against the Bears, they are underachieving on a massive scale. 4-0. Count on it!

Do ya think Dom Pettine will get fired? They could hire Wade Phillips after the bye since they got him fired the year you're referring to. Be a nice present for Wade.
You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit, but I'd welcome son of bum in spite of our D depth.
Wade, like Dom, seems to have a short shelf life in today's NFL. Though, it is top shelf while they are groovin.
Pettine is going nowhere in 2020.
I don't know if Keke's production is a sign of things to come, but dude can haul ass for a guy his size.
Kingsley Keke sacked Drew Brees twice. He did not get a tackle on this play. But this, stringing out a screen all the way to the sideline to turn Alvin Kamara back inside, is quite a play. Keke can move for a big guy. pic.twitter.com/oA9sFA469l

This is Revis Island-level respect for an NFL cornerback:
#Packers CB Jaire Alexander (Week 3 at Saints)
â Next Gen Stats (@NextGenStats) September 28, 2020
âĪ 38 coverage snaps
âĪ 2 targets, 1 rec allowed, -2 yards*
âĪ 5.2% target rate
*When targeted as the nearest defender#GBvsNO | #GoPackGo
Amazing what happens when a HC/OC actually knows how to use his personnel in the right ways.
Seems like Lazard is always taking advantage of Quarters Coverage... Hmmmmm - put your players in positions to be successful! pic.twitter.com/EEHyVuDfWR

And, even more impressively, it's not like the corner on the other side (Kevin King) is a stiff. In other words, they appear to be specifically avoiding him rather than targeting a really weak corner on the other side.
Not Revis Island....
More like Jaire Abyss.
Throw the ball into the abyss & see if you complete it.
it's also amazing he allowed 1 catch for minus 2 yards. Jeebus.
He should allow more catches. Dummy.

Against a very good passing team as well. It wasn't like he was playing against a Brett Hundley type.
The minus yardage is reminiscent of perhaps the greatest defensive statistical accomplishment in Packer playoff history - the 1994 playoff game where the Packers held Barry Sanders to -1 yards in 13 carries.
God I love that game. Manitowoc native Don Davey was part of the DL on that day.

To be honest, though, Breesâ passes arenât usually much farther past -2 yards of the LOS. So, yaâ know.
Packers just need to play keep away with the ball. The Falcons D doesnât present any kind of intense challenge, so thereâs no reason we canât run it 30-40 times and keep Ryan off the field. Falcons are not very disciplined, so I can see this being a sloppy game for them. Itâs about culture right now and GBâs lockerroom knows how to win, Atlantaâs knows how to lose games.

I agree he isn't going anywhere. I will defend him and say the defensive struggles are lack of a play maker at ILB and they need better DEs to compliment Clark.
I concur on DL being the weak spot. And Redmond. Shouldn't be out there.
Packers have not turned the ball over for not 1....not 2....but THREE STRAIGHT GAMES!!!!
Am I the only one who has noticed this?
I'm going to go out on a limb & say the Pack has at least 1 giveaway on Monday Night.
Nope. They are the first team to score over 35 points a game with zero turnovers for the first 3 games in the history of the NFL.

My first game at Lambeau...

Certainly fair to question some of the moves Gutekunst has made (and hasn't). Pettine is safe for the year but his seat will be getting warm if the trajectory of the defense doesn't improve.
I agree Pettine's seat will be warm but on the condition that Gary continues to make impact plays this year. If Gary and Savage produce, than we cannot say Gute hasn't injected talent. That would be additions of Amos, Smith x2, Savage and Gary.
Granted none of them play DL, but Pettine has enough to work with there. He could do more to force teams into passing via scheme, thus force them into the strength of your personnel. Last week we saw him be too cute with personnel in the 1st half basically asking the Saints to run on early downs. They accommodated the request and it wasn't pretty. He adjusted some and our Offense scoring put them in a position where they had to abandon the run.
It's not a good strategy to rely on your offense scoring enough to force the opponent to pass. Will see what he does vs Gurley and other backs going forward, but it shouldn't include dime on 1st n 10 with Burks as one of your Edge rushers.

Fennell has some great analysis on the schemes, etc. I really like his work.

Mine as well.

It was a beaut! And I can't help but join in every time it comes up. Such pride in the D that day. Nice cold day at old school Lambeau, such good times.

There must be some sort of a wink and a nod between out-going and in-coming GMs in GB about maintaining the long-standing tradition of having the shittiest MLBs in the league.
This Kirksey guy, healthy or not, isn't worth a flying fuck either.
Patrick Queen. Jesus fuc.q!!!!
Right, the same guy who got torched so bad by the rookie KC RB (CEH) they had to take him off the field & THEN the Raven defense improved (somewhat).
Did you watch the KC Chief vs. Raven game on MNF? I did.
Now....will Queen improve? Probably but he isn't some lights out Defensive Player of the Year here. Not yet anyway
Queen>than any Packer Linebacker not named Ray Knit-ski.
You know that girl?
The girl that got away in high school?
She's still gone.
Not by a long shot. Lee Roy Caffey. Dave Robinson, HOF by the way, Jim Carter, Clay Mathews,
