And not even that great when he does get himself out there. I won't shed any tears if they move on from him next season.

They should do a Lombardi era throwback. I think they did one like that several years ago but it was the away uniform probably at Detroit on Turkey day. No need to change the helmet then, just the facemask to grey color. Narrow striped pants.Get the 5 stripes back on the sleeves and striped socks with black cleats.

thought the same thing yesterday when I read that.  oooo, we got one game out of him again.  he's so awesome.  keeriste.

From September, per our OC:

TE Brandon Bostick's "practice habits have not warranted playing time."

Have to wonder whether his rehab habits did either. Kids chances won't be there forever.

I was a Bostick fan when he first came in. Had all the tools and looked really good early on. Again this year in TC he seemed to have the inside track to the starting TE spot, then he got injured and something has gone south for him - mentally/emotionally? Maybe he's been Stave'd.

Another big test to see where exactly this team is. Packers have just 2 wins vs NFC playoff teams since 2012, and both of those were against the Vikes including a game where Joe Webb was the starting QB. Not exactly a good resume

He came into TC a little on the fat side after he was slowed down by the foot injury.

He tried to joke about it, but the coaches were not amused

Rodgers was on his case too, veiled comments about him lacking a sense of urgency

a 50 foot Lombardi on display full time?  seems a bit much but...  flaunt it if you've got it.

and why does it look like there's a hooded demon on the support part?

Packers are toast.

After becoming an Eagle, most of Sanchez’s workouts... focused on sharpening the skills he’d need to run Philadelphia’s up-tempo offense... He also started practicing hot yoga up to three times a week, which helped him recharge physically and mentally.

I don't know exactly when the national media will reach the "How in the blue hell did we allow ourselves to get sucked into Mark Sanchez???" point. I just know that it's going to happen. And that it's happening sooner rather than later.

The resurrection, re-invention, rebirth of Sanchez is the meme of the week at BSPN

Per stats compiled elsewhere- the re-invention of Sanchez was mentioned 50+ times on the MNF broadcast. They want to make sure the casuals caught it

after 2 or more INTs at Lambeau this weekend Sancheeze will be headed right back to his place of mediocrity.  GB's DBs are bit more polished than Carolina's - and I'm saying this without even having seen Monday night's game.

Interesting article from Eric Baranczyk at PackerNews

Talks about the use of Micah Hyde at slot corner (instead of Hayward) due to his run-stopping, sure tackling and blitz abilities....another interesting twist from GB coaches

http://www.packersnews.com/sto...ve-changes/18830209/

Micah Hyde + Casey Hayward = Charles Woodson

HaHa + Morgan + Micah = Nick Collins

Datone Jones + Mike Daniels = Cullen Jenkins

If you can't find it all in one player, use two skillsets to give you what you need to succeed

Clay Matthew on brother saying he doesn’t like ILB: “I got some heat from a few of the guys around here about that."

“No, there’s not much truth to that. Anytime there is a position change... there’s some hesitation obviously w/what I was comfortable doing."

Clay M. said he wanted to make plays in or out: “In a perfect world, I’d like to line outside 100% of the time, get sacks. It worked out.”

He wasn't playing mind games? "No, I don't think so. I don't know if he's that smart. He's an inside backer, after all," said Clay Matthews

Clay Matthews said it was McCarthy who initially told him of the move to ILB. "I said, ‘Sure.’ I was all for it," Matthews said.

interesting. yeah our division is usually crappy but not good to think that we cant beat any other decent conference teams, even at home. though we beat Philly last year with #12

would like to see the list of who we lost to and when

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke with the media for about 6 minutes after Thursday's practice in preparation for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field. Here are some highlights:

Injury report

Did not practice: TE Brandon Bostick (hip), LB Jayrone Elliott (hamstring). Limited: G T.J. Lang (ankle), G Josh Sitton (toe).

On how much Lang and Sitton did at practice:

T.J. Lang and Josh Sitton practiced in a limited fashion. They did not do any team drills.

On the Eagles' Darren Sproles' special-teams ability:

Big time. Darren Sproles has done it for a long time in this league. He's definitely a focus for us.

On Sproles' size being an advantage:

I think he does a great job of playing to his skill set. He has a very unique skill set. You talk about his height, he's very quick and explosive, but you don't talk about how smart he is. We'll be very matchup conscious on him. He's been an excellent player in this league for a long time.

On Lambeau Field being an advantage:

I think you have a tremendous advantage playing at home. You play to your environment at home, whether it's Green Bay or Miami.

On when is a good time to call a screen pass:

A good time to call a screen is when the defensive end flies upfield. That helps, but it's a feel. Playing calling is a feel. Philosophically, when you call it and when you don't, that's really up to the play caller.

On whether Clay Matthews told McCarthy he was unhappy about playing inside linebacker:

I have not. We obviously talked to Clay before the decision was made. He played extremely well. We'll see where he plays this week.

On the Eagles' ability to force fumbles:

Oh, definitely. We recognize that. That's something you can tell when you get the characteristics of a defense, the identity of a defense, how we match up. We definitely recognize their ability to take it away.

My only word of caution is that his game against the Saint he seemed to come back down to earth a bit (which will happen with a rookie on occasion). HaHa being able to play a move even game near or above the level he had been playing it is the key.

Sanchez was just a victim of the 'Rex hex'.  Scary to think he might actually be good.

No, he was thinking "this could be a hell of a game or it could be worse".

That was without Burnett next to HaHa.
