Have to wonder whether his rehab habits did either. Kids chances won't be there forever.

He came into TC a little on the fat side after he was slowed down by the foot injury.

He tried to joke about it, but the coaches were not amused

Rodgers was on his case too, veiled comments about him lacking a sense of urgency

Clay Matthew on brother saying he doesnā€™t like ILB: ā€œI got some heat from a few of the guys around here about that."

ā€œNo, thereā€™s not much truth to that. Anytime there is a position change... thereā€™s some hesitation obviously w/what I was comfortable doing."

Clay M. said he wanted to make plays in or out: ā€œIn a perfect world, Iā€™d like to line outside 100% of the time, get sacks. It worked out.ā€

He wasn't playing mind games? "No, I don't think so. I don't know if he's that smart. He's an inside backer, after all," said Clay Matthews

Clay Matthews said it was McCarthy who initially told him of the move to ILB. "I said, ā€˜Sure.ā€™ I was all for it," Matthews said.

interesting. yeah our division is usually crappy but not good to think that we cant beat any other decent conference teams, even at home. though we beat Philly last year with #12

would like to see the list of who we lost to and when

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke with the media for about 6 minutes after Thursday's practice in preparation for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field. Here are some highlights:

Injury report

Did not practice: TE Brandon Bostick (hip), LB Jayrone Elliott (hamstring). Limited: G T.J. Lang (ankle), G Josh Sitton (toe).

On how much Lang and Sitton did at practice:

T.J. Lang and Josh Sitton practiced in a limited fashion. They did not do any team drills.

On the Eagles' Darren Sproles' special-teams ability:

Big time. Darren Sproles has done it for a long time in this league. He's definitely a focus for us.

On Sproles' size being an advantage:

I think he does a great job of playing to his skill set. He has a very unique skill set. You talk about his height, he's very quick and explosive, but you don't talk about how smart he is. We'll be very matchup conscious on him. He's been an excellent player in this league for a long time.

On Lambeau Field being an advantage:

I think you have a tremendous advantage playing at home. You play to your environment at home, whether it's Green Bay or Miami.

On when is a good time to call a screen pass:

A good time to call a screen is when the defensive end flies upfield. That helps, but it's a feel. Playing calling is a feel. Philosophically, when you call it and when you don't, that's really up to the play caller.

On whether Clay Matthews told McCarthy he was unhappy about playing inside linebacker:

I have not. We obviously talked to Clay before the decision was made. He played extremely well. We'll see where he plays this week.

On the Eagles' ability to force fumbles:

Oh, definitely. We recognize that. That's something you can tell when you get the characteristics of a defense, the identity of a defense, how we match up. We definitely recognize their ability to take it away.

My only word of caution is that his game against the Saint he seemed to come back down to earth a bit (which will happen with a rookie on occasion). HaHa being able to play a move even game near or above the level he had been playing it is the key.

Per stats compiled elsewhere- the re-invention of Sanchez was mentioned 50+ times on the MNF broadcast. They want to make sure the casuals caught it

Sanchez was just a victim of the 'Rex hex'.  Scary to think he might actually be good.

That was without Burnett next to HaHa.
