Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams.

Prediction: this will happen more than 5 times for 56 yards versus the Lions. pic.twitter.com/KNqVWipDcI
Rodgers forcing the ball to Adams all game? I can see that.
Exactly. Because Rodgers grew his hair long and pissed off some Packer fans we should expect him to be a completely different QB than he has ever been for the long term.
and get off my lawn
Patrick in the concussion protocol.
The whole team should be in concussion protocol!
If they don't burn the loins to the ground monday night, things could get U.G.L.Y.
Just win baby
@packerboi posted:In season trade Rumors with Rodgers would only get that much bigger.
Strike whilst the iron is hot!
Get a bunch of nasty defensive guys in a trade and bring back Jerry Glanville's Gritz Blitz!
the team needs to stop drinking the kool-aid about themselves and all their stats - and just come out and kick the piss out of the loins bc they feel like it...

Wow!
This has the biggest potential--by far--to affect the game.
I was hoping the coaches were taking a hard look at starting Runyon at RG, but he may have to go at LG.
Or we could start 3 rookies in the interior...
If Lucas Patrick is the lynchpin to beating the Lions, this team is in trouble.

The Lynchpin of Doom!
oh well
@TomSilverstein: #Packers coach Matt LaFleur says Za'Darius Smith will be shut down for a while, which would seem to indicate that he's going on injured reserve. They want him to get completely healed so he can play lots of snaps instead of just in spots... LaFleur confirms that Smith will on on injured reserve, so he will be sidelined for at least three weeks. He's eligible to return any time after that.
I don't know what's going on with Z but it seems he's not exactly the happiest of campers right now.
I don't doubt the back thing but him being a bit disaffected is worrying.
All I know is it's time for Gary to prove he isn't another Perry.
@packerboi posted:Would much rather see Rodgers surveying the whole field to see whoβs open vs forcing the ball to #17. Things rarely go well when that happens. 12 needs to play within the system and take what a defense is giving youβ¦
@TomSilversteinΒ·#Packers WR Davante Adams said he has talked with Aaron Rodgers about the double teams he's facing and that maybe they need to just push the envelope on those and see what Adams can do. Like Rodgers, he said two-deep coverage is just a fact of life that good offenses must face.
Yep, if there's a double team then find the open guy. He's out there, trust me.
Sucks about Z but better to be smart about it. Get right then get back out there. Time for the hype train that is Gary to produce something.
Waiting for the dum dums on social media to start the Clay Matthews crap.
The #Packers are signing #Buccaneers practice squad OLB Ladarius Hamilton to the 53-man roster, a source said. He's 6-3, 260, a first-year player out of North Texas.

New OLB Ladarius Hamilton, who the #Packers signed off the Bucsβ practice squad, is already in town and practicing in pads today. Heβs wearing No. 54, most recently worn by Kamal Martin.

yes, pretty quiet on the Z front - can't believe players would let $ dictate the way they behave - I mean I get it but come on - this guy was the vocal leader - all of a sudden he's radio silent, maybe shit is messed up at 1265...
i see 52 over persuing alot - he has to get that cleaned up quick - he typically flies right by the play and that's not gonna cut it -
Ladarius for Za'Darius. Seems like a smooth transition.
If you are not on the field you can't be a captain.
Silverstein suggested it's possible Smith is a bit like Mike Daniels- very vocal but someone the locker room sees as offering just bluster.
Z on the IR.
Tickets to Monday's game are only selling 30-40% below face value, so there's that.

Was thinking just that after he wasn't named a Captain. Perhaps his "pro wrestling-like" schtick got old.
first time i hear of this, honestly thought he was a top dog in the locker room. goes to show you the average dude knows jack all

This is why Silverstein is getting very Nagler like.
It's possible.
Well fuck Tom, are you THE guy when it comes to the Packers beat and you're throwing out chum?

Wow, perfect storm I guess. Coming off a shitty game and playing the Lions on a Monday night. Perfect time to see a game on the cheap.
For the next home game (Steelers, MKE game) you are paying $275 or more - for now...
I'm going just to heckle Alfred E. Murphy.
If itβs for bartending work, makes senseβ¦theyβd drink all the profits.

When Z. Smith restrictured this spring, he turned his 15 million dollar salary into a bonus. This helped the Packers by splitting his contract over two years for salary cap purposes, but he got 14 million upfront. Now that he played Week 1, the remaining million dollars is guaranteed.
The suspicion is that this is at least partially a business decision on his part. He knows he's very likely not going to be resigned by the Packers to another long-term contract and they save 16 million by moving on before next year. Why play if you are dinged up if it increases the odds of a more serious injury that ends up costing you big money?
I don't doubt he's legitimately having back problems, but if had just signed a big extension would he be going on IR or trying to play through it? Back problems are sometimes hard to evaluate, but this situation went from him being reportedly unhappy about not getting a new contract to being on IR without any obvious new injury pretty quickly.
Hey, I would have resembled that remark in the past. Too old for that now.
Also, this is now make or break time for R. Gary. He's the only real edge rusher they have now. I know Preston Smith was good in 2019, but including playoffs he's at 4 sacks over 19 games.
Unless Gary emerges, no elite-level edge rushers with questionable talent at ILB is going to sink this defense pretty quickly. In other words, Game 1 will be the norm.
That is a depressing thought.
But hey, at least they TRIED to build a defense but it just didn't work out.
Z is one of the few playmakers they have upfront. Yikes.
Kenny and Gary are the only 2 standouts. P. Smith and Keke have to up their game from last year. Lot of rotation with the young guys to figure out what they've got?

i also see that other teams wouldn't pay top $ for a guy who acts this way...if he wants cornerstone $ he needs to act like that kind of guy. business decision that may backfire - but i think he is on IR right now so it doesn't matter short term

Sure as hell hope this isn't one of those over hyped teams about to do a faceplant.
Gary doesn't pan out that entire front 7 will be a liability.
