I have Lions +11.5 this week.
Last week I had Saints +3.5
I'm 1-0.
I'm betting against the Packers for the entire month of September

Last week's game will not define the season. This one very well could. Another stinker, with the whole world watching, and this team could implode.
I think, however, the chances of that are pretty slim. Too much talent on a team that was 26-6. Just need to shake off the rust.
I also agree with Pack-a-Day podcast guy: This team is defined by the offense, and the offense plays better when they're not trying to play catch-up. So if we win the toss, elect to receive and get the offense on the field first.
Hey, if the Packers donโt kick Detroitโs ass, I swear I will never come here again. I havenโt been able to watch ANY sports show ALL week because of that horrible debacle of a Packers team. I WANT A CRUSHINGโฆ..Lions 10 - PACK 45. ๐ฅฐ ๐ฅฐ ๐ฅฐ
Liar. You can't quit us.
Who else is going to listen to commentary about you smokin' weed while watching the Hallmark Channel?
I thought I was the only one.
Great receiving corps. Clutch. Could be taller.

You act like thatโs a bad thing.
Very judgey.

Wait.
You got a purdy mouth, Goldie.
Three things LaFleur will/should do Monday night that he didn't do Sunday:
1. Scheme receivers open, because it's clear he forgot to do this last game, right?
2. Move the pocket if the line is having pass pro problems, because it's clear he forgot to do this last game, right?
3. Give the ball to the RB that's having success more than just a few times, because it's clear he forgot to do this last game, right?
Rookie shit. Not sure why it's happening 3 years into his HC career.
The old donโt want to put too much on tape?
Thatโs it. Lull the rest of the NFL into a false sense of security by getting their ass whipped three ways from Sunday.
And twice on Monday.
I have this bad feeling if mlf defers the lions will rtfb and keep the offense off the field - time of possession will be against us - key takeaway; if we win the coin flip TAKE THE BALL and score. Set the tone and smash them up
I don't know why every OC we face wouldn't game plan to do just that.
Try to expose our soft underbelly in the middle with runs, short-range passes to RBs and TEs, and possibly some quick slants to their WRs.
The key, IMHO, is yards gained on 1st down. If they pick up 4-5-6, it'll make for another long day. If they are embarrassingly allowing 8-9 yards, fuggedabouitit.
2nd game of the season and people are fearing the lions. The end must be near.
The key to the Packers defense in '21, like the last 10 years, is the Packers offense.
If the Packers offense is clicking it puts pressure on the opposing offense to keep up, which gives a defense opportunities.
There are few defenses in the NFL anymore that can dictate the flow of the game when you consider the tilt in rules to the offense.

I don't fear the Loins, I fear the Packer defense is going to blow again!
All the makings of a get-well game for the Packers (no guarantees though).

I agree... in the lopsided losses we've had under MFL he (and AR) has quickly gotten out of his game plan when behind by 2 scores. Take the ball and try to play from ahead.
Great quarters create great recievers.

At home vs. Detroit. I hope so. They need a commanding win.
Regardless, the middle of that defense is a time bomb. Gary better be the real deal.
@Henry posted:Gary better be the real deal.
He will be. Everyone said so after he was drafted.
Just win baby

100%. When the offense is clicking the defense follows. Teams stop running the ball and that covers up a lot of warts.
Then they get shelled in the playoffs by teams that have more balance.
Packers defense. 1 good player, a couple of has-beens, a never will be, and a bunch of never was.
Packers really need a comfortable win to silence the critics after last week's stinker.
You people (TM) do realize all this talk about blowing out Detroit is going to cause an upset loss. Music City almost derailed the Brewers season with that sort of irresponsible behavior.
Dipshits.
Capitalizing trade mark is fore pour people!

What really covers up a lot of warts on defense are elite defensive lineman and pass rushers who can win one on one matchups.
Fennel & Herman talked about this. Lowry appears to be valued by Packers as our 2nd best defensive lineman .... on a top defense he would be 4-6. I often encounter this with my basketball teams. On a good team a certain player would ideally be playing 10-12 minutes a game, but if he has to play 25 you are not going to be any good.
A FO that will never be fired needs to be fired badly.

I'm assuming Jaire is the good player. Is Kenny Clark a has been or never was?
And where does Adrian Amos fit in?
The Packers lose to Detroit and itโs going to get really ugly around here.
Yes, they beat Detroit by 21 at home last year, but they won the year before by a single point and Detroit beat them in 2018 and 2017.
The Loins would like nothing more to stick it to the Packers and I wouldnโt touch that 11.5 point spread. I think this game will be closer than that and hopefully they get the W.
