The #Packers open as 1.5-point underdogs at home to the #Lions on Thursday and I'll be honest, I don't understand that at all.

I personally think the Lions are the best team we’ve faced so far this year. One thing that helps is Jameson Williams is still suspended and while he’s unproven he definitely is a deep threat and I think not having him available helps the Pack.
Very impressed with the rookie RB Gibbs, but maybe the slippery Lambeau turf slows him down some.
Happy to be facing these guys on a short week at Lambeau. Let’s just hope some of our injured guys come back for the most important game of the year so far.
I'm putting Gibbs in a bunch of daily fantasy games.
Let's hope Jaire, Bahktiari, Aaron Jones and GASP, Christian Watson can actually fucking play on Thursday night
Hope is not a strategy.
I expect Jones and Watson will go, maybe Ja, who knows about Bakhtiari.
It's the Loins ! let's get it right!
FART WILL CHOCK!
Big game for MLF and staff. Campbell has beaten them 3 straight with a less talented roster.

This fucker stealing my x4 posts. I said the same thing last night on here.
He's also called the GBP soft. That's the first thing that needs correcting.
I'm surprised it's not a bigger spread for the Loins given all our injury woes. Best case 9 and 33 come back...We know Jenkins is out, and I don't believe Bakh will be back either. Love will have more weapons, but Dingle Barry is still our DC...and the Loins will be the most potent offense we've faced thus far.
The one thing that gives me hope is, Jaire or not, the pass rush has been tits this year...and that is the great equalizer with Goff...who is basically KARK 2.0...get the pressure on him, he will gift us one or two.
More I reflect on yesterday's win, the more I am impressed. Yeah, 10 has had a couple of bad throws this season...but FFS...he's a first year starter and he's made just one throw where I was asking "WTF are you thinking dum dum?" on the INT.
Guys with many more starts under their belt...KARK...Dak...Jameis....all made some horrendous throws yesterday.
Time to beat the loins and reverse that 3 game losing streak we have against them.

It was only slippery for Love.
Lions O-Line has been banged up with a cold starters missing time. They’ve had to shuffle a couple starters sounds. Don’t know who comes back for TH.
Still think the Lions are overrated by many and win 10 games at best, but maybe as few as 6 or 7.
Hubris from Lions' fans is unbearable. Division is really a two-team race and this one will be huge.

Vikings are not that far back and have not played either team in front of them yet. I wouldn't be shocked if they swept Detroit. Certainly not predicting it, but it wouldn't be a shocker like the Jets sweeping Miami.

My green and gold glasses is hoping the reason that Bakh didn't play was because they were holding him out til Thursday and a division game. +
But if not? I could be wrong but I didn't hear a peep out of Rasheed Walker's performance yesterday. When your name doesn't get called as a LT, it usually means you had a very good day.

1. Romeo Doubs (73.8)
2. Rasheed Walker (73.2)
3. Zach Tom (68.7)
4. Tay Wicks (65.3)
5. Jordan Love (63.9)
From what I remember, he did pretty well compared to the previous week...and it was against a better DL.
He needs reps...yeah it would be great to have 69 back, but 69 wasn't exactly stellar vs Da Bears. If Rasheed is the long term plan for LT, I say let him roll with it all season. Let Bakh collect his paycheck...he will obviously be gone next year.
Love's rating would have been higher without the drops.
It's early...it's a big fucking glass of Kool Aid...but what I've seen from Reed...that motherfucker reminds me of 17...he is already putting himself in the position and contorting his body to make circus catches. You can't coach that shit. If 9 can get healthy...between him, Reed and 87 we will have a phenomenal corps.

There were a lot of Packer fans that wanted Adam’s shipped out the first 1-3 years he was here. I can’t say that about Reed.

If I had to choose one player to have back on Thursday, it'd have to be Aaron Jones. I'd love to see our run game get going - right in the Lion's face.
Lions just held Atlanta to 44 yards rushing. If Jones can't go, we would just be better off running our 2 minute offense like we did in the 4th quarter right from the start. I'd like to see Love run a little more.

Walker looked to have played well and the PFF rating seemingly confirms it.
The penalty where he was uncovered was NOT his fault.
Serious Q, would there have been much difference if #69 played LT instead of #63 yesterday? (Maybe Walker got more help than Bakh would have?)
Walker is the (potential) future. That was legitimate Saints D out there with 2 good edge rushers in Granderson and Jordan and he acquitted himself quite well.
Bakh is the past, he's injured, and he's unreliable.
In this year of building for the future, I'd love to see Walker get more opportunity to play unless and until he proves incapable.

All interceptions are not equal. Favre was among the worst in history not just at interceptions, but at throwing interceptions at the wrong time (like 1st and 10 in OT in the NFC title game).
Love's interception was not a great decision, but it was on 3rd and 14 and the result was the equivalent of a 41 yard punt with no return. It didn't hurt the Packers at all, and you'd take that net punting yardage on the 4th down play.
I don't mind long downfield interceptions on 3rd and long. The reward (DPI, a reception) is worth some risk. That was especially the case yesterday after the Saints punt return TD.
@RobDemovsky: Packers coach Matt LaFleur is holding out hope that RT Zach Tom can go Thursday night after leaving yesterday's game. And for ILB De'Vondre Campbell, it's not the same ankle he dealt with in preseason. said Carrington Valentine did not tear his biceps -- a good sign considering the way he reached back is sometimes the way those injuries happen.

Friend of mine that has a friend inside the walls says that all those inactive players from Sunday will be available Thursday, except for Jenkins. Will see if they end up being right but they almost always are...
BOOM BABY!! Called it
If Jaire can go, the need for Billy Ray Ballentine is moot.
I'm a little concerned the young guys may be a little too amped up. Most of them have never experienced a come back like that, especially on the pro level. Even MLF says he never saw a comeback like that. I hope he is able to get the team and himself back down on the ground. I hope Clements and Bisaccia can help with that. They are the most experienced coaches on the staff.
BTW, on the evidence the last 2 weeks Patrick Taylor > Wilson. Not even counting special teams.
Lions scored 14 points against KC and 20 (at home) yesterday against the Falcons (the Pack scored 24 against Atlanta on the road).
The Lions are without their deep threat WR (suspended), starting RB (injured) and, as set forth below, the offensive line is in shambles. The Pack's D needs to show up on Thursday as it did yesterday.
"injuries clearly took a toll on the offensive side, where the Lions were without two linemen (Taylor Decker and Halapoulivaati Vaitai) and their top running back (David Montgomery). Then the game kicked off, and they lost two more linemen. Matt Nelson, in at right tackle because the Decker injury forced Penei Sewell to the left side, was carted off with an ankle injury. Dan Skipper, signed to the practice squad last week and in the game for Nelson, played only 16 snaps before a hamstring injury sidelined him too. With no more offensive tackles left in uniform, the Lions were forced to turn to Colby Sordal, a rookie guard who had played zero offensive snaps. Yikes. Now with Decker, Nelson and Skipper all banged up heading into a short week, there might not be enough time to get any of them back in time for Green Bay on Thursday night. In which case, it could be the Sorsdal experience at right tackle once again.
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s worth noting Jared Goff was hit nine times behind that patchwork offensive line, just one off the worst beating he’s taken since his trade to Detroit. He was able to finish the game, completing 22 of 33 passes for 243 yards and one touchdown during another solid day of work. But he got up slowly a couple times, and Goff’s health is worth monitoring during the short week too.
“There were a couple (big shots),” Goff said. “I wish I bounced up a little faster than I did on the one, but our guys fought, man. It’s a tough spot man. Graham (Glasgow)’s filling in for (Halapoulivaati Vaitai), Matt Nelson’s filling in for Decker, and then he goes down and Skipper goes in for him, then Colby fills in for him. It’s tough. Those guys don’t have a lot of reps. I think the main thing is they fought their ass off. Like, there’s no flinching in any of them in how prepared and the effort they have. It’s just sometimes it’s your first snaps and you’re figuring things out a little bit.”
Thanks SteveLuke for that informative report.
Gary, go get 'em.

Lions fans are just as confident with their team coming into Lambeau and beating the Packers with little effort as the Cowboys fans were with their team going into Arizona yesterday and winning. Hopefully it works out the same. Hoping tough guy Dan Cambell eats well so he doesn't try to eat someones knee caps.
I did not get the memo. Is Detroit some offensive and defensive juggernaught? I don;t know if the Packers will win or not but I believe the Packers can win if the young guys keep progressing. Lions fans are like that annoying little chihuahua that hides under the couch and barks just to annoy you.
