What's Cletes record when reffing Packer games?
I want to know what the Viking narrative will be.
Don't understand why @AtTheMurph thinks there isn't any leadership on the defense. Completely disagree with that take.

Yup... Z alone is one helluva leader on that defense.

Oshbaul is no longer Oshbaul after making a coherent post the other day. It's like seeing a drag queen without his makeup and wig. Dragbauls.
Oshbaul is like a volcano. Kinda quiet most of the time, but rumbles to life when the big games are approaching.
But watch out when he belches.
Zadarius and Tramon.

The Philly Special was copied from The Wisconsin Badgers when Russell Wilson was the Badgers' QB.
Would like to see Preston Smith make some noise as he's been quiet the last few games,
He's been quiet since October.
Maybe on the stat sheet, but you need to watch him. He does things not on the stat sheet.

What I meant was that there is anyone on the defense who brings that aggressive, fight to the whistle mentality (except for Pocket Hercules, but he's the little CB).
I don't see that fiery, I'm going to knock the shit out of you, defender who changes the defenses mentality. I don't see a fiery defense that wants to kick the shit out of you and fights to the whistle.
If you do, show me the samples. I see a lot of standing around. A lot of looking around until they are backed up to their own goal line.
I want to see attacking, smacking, hard hitting all the way to the whistle. And I just don't see it.

Of course. The point was he's not making splash plays, in addition to those non-stat things, that he used to make.

It's probably because they're being smart and not getting stupid penalties. I personally don't want some POS like Barnett and that horseshit Schwartz mentality. Play defense, make the stops, get off the field.
I think we're all just happy that we actually see players around the ball in the first place.
Ummm, lots of people here are not so happy that Martinez is around the ball as much as anyone in the league.
I think the D was doing everything atthemurph is calling for in WK16 vs MIN. I consider MIN's D an aggressive, active group that swarms to the ball and shows good technique. I think GB's D matched them in that game and had been really coming on until WK17. Weren't they second in points allowed WK13-16 or something like that? I would expect to see their best this Sunday.
Yeah, you can't ask for much more than what the defense did vs Minnesota. You had the TD to Diggs and that long completion on 3rd down. Two bad plays for an entire game.
Weโve seen more and more Tyler Ervin the last few weeks. Expect him to be used extensively for the below. https://t.co/F9rnjYhKLg

That brings up a good point.
Seattle D teaches to grab & twist to make the tackle. It works really well. I've seen some of the Packer players do this some of the time but not all the time. This needs to be taught. The Packer players need to grab & twist to get Seahawks on the ground.
Shake it up, baby.
Matt LaFleur asked if he's consulted Sean McVay about gameplanning for Seattle:

"Iโve talked to him a little bit, but Iโm not going to get too much into that. Iโll tell you what, weโve got a great staff here. Just really rely on the guys that are in our building."
Yeah the Rams took it to Seattle ....gotta believe MLF and company are studying the hell out of that tape. Would love to hear the conversations between MLF and McVay.
Over-achieving, Ugly 13-3 team. So ugly we are favored against the darling SeaHags.
Are we feeling good about this one ? Gonna get Rodgers his mere 4th playoff win in Lambeau ?
https://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/...en-bay-lambeau-field
He's just ahead of Eli Manning.
Good read on Allen Lazard
Packers have exactly ZERO excuses to lose this game -- short of Rodgers, Jones & Adams not showing up or getting hurt coming out of the tunnel.
I'll have my prediction on Friday with a full list of keys to the game
Back at practice for #Packers Wed: WR Allen Lazard, FB Danny Vitale, LG Elgton Jenkins.
Not practicing: CB Tramon Williams, TE Jimmy Graham, RG Billy Turner, DL Kenny Clark, RB Dexter Williams.
Tramon & Graham have rested regularly on Wed. this season, Turner had ankle last week.
Bryan Bulaga has cleared the concussion protocol and is good to go for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. So the Packers will have their standout right tackle.

Excellent news.
I figure I was conceived almost exactly 10 months after the Pack won Super Bowl II and ended the Lombardi years. I definitely did not time my entrance into this world very well as I missed lots of World Championships and the first 2 Super Bowls.
In my lifetime, I have only seen the Pack make it to the NFC Championship game 7 times. If they make it that far, that's a pretty rare and successful season in my book. Certainly, I want more than that, but for now, baby steps, just getting to that Championship game is a heck of a rarity and winning it is even rarer.

Jenkins also back at practice and feeling better. Packers should be at full strength for their OL.
Where the hell is the prediction thread? Oh well, I say Packer 37 Seachickens 17
Pack 27, Seahawks 13

I saw that stat, but let's look at who they played.
NYG - 18th scoring offense (and playing without Manning)
WAS - 32nd scoring offense
cHI - 29th scoring offense
MN - 8th scoring offense without it's best player
DET - 18th without it's starting QB.
Not exactly a murderers row. If GBs defense wasn't near the top of the standings over these weeks it would be a miracle.
I just don't see it with these guys. I think there is talent that shows up now and again but I don't see the spark.

I know he reffed week 6, Oct 14, Monday night vs Detroit, and made a couple of favorable calls late in the 4th qtr that really helped the PACK.
last 7 Seattles record at Lambeau :
2017: 17-9 Loss
2016: 38-10 loss
2015: 27-17 loss
2009: 48-10 loss
2008: 42-20 loss NFC Divisional Playoff
2006: 23-17 loss
2004: 33-27 loss NFC Wildcard overtime
2003: 35-13 loss

I'm gonna stop you right there....the previous 4 weeks the Bears were in the top 5.
You can look at the opponents body of work over the season but things change fast, due to injuries & other guys coming back from injury, players improving, etc.
I prefer to look at previous 4-6 weeks. It's probably a better sample size for how they're playing at the time.
I mentioned the Giants game in my survey. That was a very big game & win for the Pack as it was the 2nd game in a row on the road after they got hammered by the Niners. I don't GAF the Giants aren't a very good team. They still had Saquon out there.

If the defense does what it's done most games, I'll take a Rodgers who no one believes in all of a sudden. I'll take Rodgers with a chip on his shoulders in a home playoff game against a major rival any day of the week!
What did Bill Parcels say? You are what your record says you are. Packers are 13-3 and were supposed to lose to the Vikings two weeks ago. How did that work out?
