I think the Packers will be able to score on them.   Even New Englands putrid offense scored 21 on them.  But, their offense is no joke and this is a week the defense really needs to step up and contain them.

I think this one is going to one awesome game and I expect a lot of points.

I feel a lot more optimistic about this game now that Love seems to have most of his mobility back. The Texans have a very good pass rush. One the reasons the Packers invested in the massive contract with Love is his ability to throw on the move and move around in the pocket. The version of Jordan Love that faced the Vikings three weeks ago was not close to the end of 2023 version. The version we saw yesterday was.

@Schultz_Report:   Sources: #Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is considered “week-to-week” after sustaining a shoulder injury that caused him to leave Sunday’s game vs the #Cardinals.

For the year the 5-1 Texans: Barely beat the Colts, Bears, Jags and Bills, not exactly a murderers row. They beat the Patriots. And the queens beat them easily.

I like our chances to win.

Is Stroud another one of these dual threat QB's?

I have only seen CJ Stroud a few times, but he strikes me as a QB who has a chance to move up into the elite class at only 23 years old.  To me where he’s special as a passer is a combination of really good arm strength and a quick accurate release when he finds an open WR.

He might be the most talented QB the Pack faces in the regular season.  Obviously, the Vikings showed he can be shut down, but the Vikings have been consistently pressuring QBs better than the Pack has this year.  If there’s a week we need guys like Van Ness, Gary, and Preston Smith to step up, this is the one.  I believe Stroud has been sacked 15 times so it’s clear the Texans aren’t a premier pass block unit.  That said, I think we all know the Packers’ pass rush has been lacking with the exception of the Titans game.

Let’s hope we can win some one on one’s on the D Line this week and maybe we’ll keep this very talented QB from having a big day.

Doing crazy shit is perfectly fine, as long as more often than not it doesn't bite you in the ass.

Mahomes does crazy shit all the time...but rarely does he get burned for it.

10 is in in the growth process right now, trying to figure out when it's OK to do something on paper that is stupid.

Vs the Cardinals, it all worked out.

Vs the Rams, it almost didn't (pick 6 to avoid a safety).

It took him a half a season last year to get to a point where he wasn't stepping on his own dick.

While some will complain about the lack of sacks yesterday, I think it's quite plausible that Hafley's game plan was to corral and keep Murray between the hashmarks. Which GB's defense did a very good job of.

@AaronWilson_NFL:  NFL suspends Texans defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr., who has played extremely well with Denico Autry suspended for the first six games, for four games for violating substance abuse policy

Hmm. They’ve already played Josh Allen and the Bills

@joshmalexander:  Texans coach DeMeco Ryans on Packers QB Jordan Love: "He will be the best quarterback we've seen this year."

Nice hands catch by Watson on that 4th down throw. Stay healthy, young man.

I grew up in Green Bay and have been to plenty of games.  However, this is the first time I'll be attending a game with my Dad and my two sons.  I sure as hell hope the Packers win to add to what should be an awesome experience.

I'll be there with my wife (her first trip) and two of my kids and their significant others.  I'm hoping like hell for a win but know this will be a tough game.  Secondary needs to play lights out.  Also heard it's supposed to be a "whiteout" for fans as Pack will play in all white uni's.

Depends on the exact definition of dual threat but he's not as much of a threat running as Murray, Lamar or even Allen is when intended.  But he's very mobile and is accurate throwing on the run.

Definitely a big break not having to deal with Nico AND Diggs but Stroud is still good at distributing the ball to the open guy so their passing game will still be a threat with Diggs and Dell.  TE and RB not too shabby either.

Stroud is a better QB than Murray by a mile. Better arm, better pocket presence, better throwing on the move.

But I do agree with the take that the Texans are way overrated. 2nd only to the Queens...who have gotten every break this year it seems.

Got to face a gimpy Love...get to face the Lions without their best DL.

Making my fifth trip to Lambeau for the Texans game.  We're staying in Appleton Saturday night and I am looking for a good place for dinner in either Appleton or Green Bay.  Guessing things will be tight given it's a game weekend, and we have a party of eight.  Would appreciate any recommendations from some of you familiar with the area.

Looking forward to seeing Love and rest of this young, ascending team play.  Only been to four previous games and have been treated to the likes of Seneca Wallace, Scott Tolzien and Brett "Bubblegum boy" Hundley before finally seeing Rodgers.

Great supper clubs (restaurants) in Appleton. Great old fashioned drinks. Ask the front desk who's good these days, you can't go wrong. A Spotted Cow and an old fashioned are required.

First two trips to Lambeau were the weeks immediately following Rodgers' broken collarbones.  Travel, hotel and tix were all booked way in advance, so I was SOL.

We always love the fish fry at the Redwood Inn on Friday. McCarthy used to love the place, and it's filled with all sorts of Packer crap. CROWDED. Go in, have a drink and when a table opens they will find you. Portions are large so be warned.

Do they serve grits as a side dish? I never had grits with fish until I moved to Florida. Now I cannot imagine eating fish without them.

Along with the other DT that is now suspended for the Texans, they may be pretty thin at this position. MLF might be thinking RTFB! more and more for this game.

Also would keep CJ Stroud on the sideline.
