@FLPACKER posted:He can run, we have had a lot of trouble with mobile QBs, may be why Vikes decided to go with him.
Like de Vito did to us and NO ONE else!
Fields had 60 yards, Ridder 39, Herbert 73 yards ,Wilson only ran one time for 21 yards. Mahones 4 times for 26 yards..... so it has been more than DeVito. The thing it does do is to force you to game plan around it. If you play man coverage your rushers have to be disciplined and / or you have to assign a spy. Most teams play more zone coverage vs. mobile QBs ....
Jaren "Baker DeVito" Hall
Who is replacing TJ Hockey son? A certain hall of famer
@MNPackman posted:vikings to start rookie Jaren Hall on Sunday.
We're screwed. If the defense plays as usual against a no name qb, they will put him in the record books.
Look on the bright side. No matter how well Hall plays, we can add a 6th QB to the list of those who have had their best game of the year against the Packers.

If the offense doesn't drop 50 on the Vikings they aren't doing enough to help the defense.
@Tavis Smiley posted:I remember driving up to GB with my Dad and buddy for the Packers/Broncos game that day hoping to score some tix. Even got a room at the Days Inn. Ended up many people thought it would be Fart's last game, so tix prices were really high. Ended up watching GB dismantle Denver in Stadium View then watched AZ break douche bag Paul Allen and all Vikings fan's hearts, sending GB to the playoffs as division winners. That was a special evening. Glad I got that hotel room
I was at that game too with a bunch of buddies of mine from our fantasy football league. Back when you all met and made it a fun night. They were all Broncos fans, but they were blown away by Lambeau Field, the friendliness of the people tailgating issuing friendly jabs at the Broncos. They had a great experience and so did I - that stadium and all the bars were jumping. Lambeau Field really is a special place to watch a game.
Damn near every thread it littered with the same whiney shit about Bury, MLF or whatever. GB basically controls their own destiny for the playoffs with a first-year starter at QB and a group of WRs/TEs barely old enough to babysit my children. Do changes need to be made on the coaching staff? Absolutely... and it will happen in the off season. But until then, dear God, STFU and enjoy the ride. This football thing we all follow is entertainment. Not life and death.
Go Pack!
Geez, Pakrz, do you have to be so reasonable? You shouldn't mess up a good griping session on X4 with logic!
Watching the Lions- vikings rebroadcast and saw Wonnum injure his knee on that turf. Non contact injury, on their turf, ended Wonnum's season. At least their turf is getting replaced for next season, but injuries are always something to worry about when we play there.
Packers final injury report vs. Vikings:
— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) December 29, 2023
DOUBTFUL: Christian Watson, Luke Musgrave, De’Vondre Campbell, Emanuel Wilson, Luke Tenuta
QUESTIONABLE: Dontayvion Wicks, Darnell Savage, T.J. Slaton, Robert Rochell
Jayden Reed returns after missing last week.
WR Jordan Addison and CB Mekhi Blackmon are QUESTIONABLE, according to KOC. https://t.co/5CUf1av5LQ

Wouldn't be a bit surprised if Gute takes basically the same kind of WR somewhere in the 2nd-3rd round of this year's NFL draft as Watson. Only this time, he hopes this one is a much healthier version.
The Packers cannot assume Watson will be a full-time starter in 2024
The Packers will have to treat Christian Watson as a luxury going into next season. He's proven that he can't be counted on.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur says Dontayvion Wicks' practice today was "very limited."

Best case the Packers win but with Jaren Hall going for 400+yds/5 TDs in his rookie debut...hopefully being another nail in Berry's coffin

Damn, you're cheap. I usually bet about... uhhh.... tree fiddy.
Addison and Jefferson could do a lot of damage, even if Jaire was playing. You have to pick your poison with those two. Overall, GB's receivers are better as a group by a little bit, but those two are probably the most dynamic pair in the league. If the Vikings had Hockinson, you'd have to favor them to win.
Here's what I'm afraid will happen: Barry won't put pressure on Hall and dares Hall to make completions by playing a soft zone all day. Hall just keeps tossing it in the direction of Jefferson and Addison -- along with a few TE/RB tosses and just enough runs to keep the D honest -- for chunk gainers and major TOP. They spend a large part of the day on GB's half of the field.
To counter, GB's offense needs to have long, sustained drives, which has not been a consistent strength on O, and get TDs, not FGs, in the red zone. On D, try to limit the Vikings' offense to FGs when they inevitably spend a large chunk of time in the GB red zone; add in a miracle and one missed FG by MN, and GB wins.
Packers will need 30+ to win this game. And the next one vs the Bares too.
Hall can run, so our pass rushers are going to have to be much more disciplined than they were vs. DeVito
Hall is also an unknown. He played fairly well in the game when Cousins went down, but played only a tiny bit after starting the next game when he got a concussion. And GB has a history of allowing substitute QBs to have career days. All in all, I effin' hate the Vikings and worry that Barry will give this game to them on a silver platter.
You all think I have jinxing powers, so let's give it another try.

The Green Bay Packers are the only NFL team without a touchdown of 40 or more yards this season.
On offense, right?
This is the type of game where many Packer fans expect it to be a struggle or even a loss... and then GB goes out there and kicks the shit out of them.
Viking fans have pretty much given up on the season with 2 games to go. You would think there would be more "chatter " about the game. It's all "Mullens sucks " and the draft. All they got now is the "hope " that Love won't terrorize them for the next 15 years!
If our OL can protect Love and our D pressures, Hall, Mullens or whomever, often, I see us winning this game. Anybody figure out a way to hack that viking horn to say "GO PACK, GO!!!" when they activate it?
It's really something that the Vikings have lost 4 of the last 5 games (only win was a 3-0 win over the Raiders) and are starting a rookie QB with 10 career passes, yet the confidence level in the Packers winning Sunday night's game feels very low. Joe Barry factor is powerful

I'd rather the Viking horn play the "Love Boat" theme.
