Damn near every thread it littered with the same whiney shit about Bury, MLF or whatever.  GB basically controls their own destiny for the playoffs with a first-year starter at QB and a group of WRs/TEs barely old enough to babysit my children.  Do changes need to be made on the coaching staff?  Absolutely... and it will happen in the off season.  But until then, dear God, STFU and enjoy the ride.  This football thing we all follow is entertainment.  Not life and death.

Go Pack!

Lot of people on this board would rather root against Barry than root for the Packers.  Probably the same people who were rooting for a draft pick earlier in the season.  May as well be Viking fans IMO.

Personally I hope Barry kills it and we shut out every team on the way to a SB win.  And then he gets fired.

From packers.com:

CB Eric Stokes (hamstring) has been added to the injury report and has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Minnesota Vikings.

IMO maybe addition by subtraction given how he’s played in limited time this season.

What a waste of a roster spot he’s been….always injured but sucks on the rare occasion that he does play.

Stokes beginning to resemble Rollins and Randall- pretty good rookie year and downhill from there.

I'm not saying anything about the guy until I know he's 100% healthy after major surgery

Having to play Ballantine and Valentine may force Barry to change his soft zone coverages. Let the young guys play 1 on 1 where they don't have to think about much.

Until the Packers have the lead, then we do what we do in the 2nd half.

Stokes took the kind of injury that can ruin a career. This is a brutal game to some of these guys. Never understood getting upset with players when they sustain some of these injuries. Every interview I've ever seen with the kid he's had a positive attitude. Just got dealt a bad hand with injury luck.

I don't honestly know how we can evaluate any of these defensive players when the coaching staff is this much of a mess. They all lost a year of development.

Murphy needs to step in here and present MLF with three vetted defensive coordinator choices for him to pick from. A choice as bad as Barry following his equally awful choice of Drayton for STs should remove some of MLF's freedom from picking the next DC.

What makes you think Murphy knows what a good D coordinator is?   I'd rather Gutey comes up with the choices.

It's Murphy's call based on the silo structure he set up. Gutekunst should absolutely be consulted so the players he drafts stop getting wasted.

This is the type of game where many Packer fans expect it to be a struggle or even a loss... and then GB goes out there and kicks the shit out of them.

I have the same feeling about this game. Might just be gas...

But I'm not gonna be surprised if the defense comes out and shuts down the Vikings. Maybe not all game but at least the first 2-3 quarters and by then it's too late for them.

Nothing would surprise me in this game. It could be GB blows them out; it could be Hall is a one-game stud and Barry's D is shredded all night. With this D and with MN's D playing well under Flores, it's all a mystery.

IMHO Barry better have 5 guys rushing every down so this rookie qb is hearing footsteps and feeling hits.  That way he won’t have time to throw to Jefferson. (But it’s probably only a dream and we’ll play soft zone all game).

OK fine. It might be Murphy's call but that still doesn't mean he knows shit about what makes a good to great D coord.

What would be interesting is if they were to have some guys who play D also sit in on the first interviews, like they do in many other industries. Say, Clark or Gary or Campbell. Or maybe have CWood and LeRoy be there. You know, guys who might know a thing or two about what kind of DC they'd play for or which DC is blowing smoke, etc.

Stokes may be one of those "we'll never know" players who were good or showed they had a lot of potential and then an injury does them in, ala Sherrod.

Melton showed some things last week and is probably there as insurance for Reed and Wicks. Sapp is a just-in-case signee.

Current players should definitely not be involved.  It’s all on the current head coach and maybe some management input.

I nominate this guy for interim DC of the Packers. Hit the bricks, FJB!!

Gritz Blitz every play. I think Jerry Glanville and Robert Brazille aren't doing anything this weekend.

If he knocked Love out of the game, that would be delicious!
