@TomSilverstein: Packers coach Matt LaFleur said they got good news on WR Christian Watson: "Just a bruise," he said. Didn't rule him out this week but said there is progress that has to be made.

Can you imagine a play where Love, Willis and Jacobs are all in the backfield?  The other team would not have any idea what is coming.   Better save that for the playoffs tho.

I know... different times, but I can't help but wonder what Lombardi would say with dudes sitting out with a bruise.

I've wondered the exact same thing. I'd like to see some plays designed for Willis under center. It would drive opposing DCs crazy to prepare for

Let’s slow down a bit, fellas.

Packers are 2-4 against teams with winning records.

Viqueens are 4-2 against teams with winning records.

😐

So the only difference is that the Vikings beat the Packers in their first meeting.

You could honestly make an argument that Willis' throw right there was the best one of the entire night. His value cannot be stated enough.

I noticed this pass too. Got me off my seat!

Jaymo, please go find a tweezers and play with yourself!

I thought this asshole was banned

By 2 points....after having a 28 point lead.....when the Packer Kicker missed 2 FG's.

Yeah, I'm terrified of the "greatness" that is the Minnesota Vikings.

GB needs to win out or they could fall to the 7th seed... but really, it's the Vikings and Bears.

Basically the Packers get to decide who wins the NFC North division title.

Would the Packers rather go to Minnesota or Detroit for a 3rd time? Hmm.....🤔

The Packers could have receiver Christian Watson for Sunday's game against the Vikings even after he left Monday night's win over the Saints because of a knee injury.

Tests Tuesday showed no structural damage to his left knee.

"We got good news on him," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said. "So [it was] more just a bruise. It was when the guy fell on him on the sideline."

Asked whether Watson could play against the Vikings, LaFleur said: "Potentially."

"You still gotta be able to function," LaFleur said. "So, we'll see how he practices this week and see where we're at."

Hmm 🤔

I wonder how "bad" the Packers need to beat the Vikings??

Vikings already have 13 wins....Packers are pretty much locked into #6 seed.

Of course I want to see the Packers win but at what cost?? Is it worth it to treat the game like a playoff game??

MLF is going to have to look at scenarios & figure out if it's worth killing yourself to maybe move up to #5 seed?

It's not so much as the Packers "need" to win as it is protect the #6 seed.
IOW, if they lose, the Commodes tie them in overall record, and I would think have the tiebreaker advantage (better conference record).
Incidentally, they finish with the Falcons (home) and Cowboys (away); games they are likely to win.

It just doesn't leave much wiggle room if the Packers were to lose, so it's a meaningful game from that standpoint.

  • If the Lions beat the Niners, I don’t think their game against the Vikings matters as the wrap up the #1 seed. So that could be a gimme for Minnesota.

Negative ghostwriter, they have the same record at 13-2

...and they beat us by 2 points. Beat them by more than 2, this time around and another tiebreaker scenario goes down the drain.

Well, to be fair, it's been a while since the Vikings have been relevant.

Fuck the Vikings. 12-4. Move on.

Been reading through the thread this whole time thinking it doesn't even start until Chillijon posts.

Sometimes they're longer,  more informative,  precisely laid out.

Sometimes they're short and directly to the point.

You're hate is such a beautiful thing.

Perfect.   Absolutely perfect.

Lions neat 9ers.

Packers beat Vikings.

Lions have NFCN & #1 seed wrapped up.

I’m referring to the Lions game against the Vikings.

If the Packers beat the Vikings and the Lions beat the Niners Monday night, the Lions game against the Vikings won’t matter to the Lions as they have the #1 seed locked up. The Packers would need a Lions win against the Vikingsto leap over the Vikings in seeding.

Confused. Purple Bastards and Blue Bastards are currently tied in record. When Pack beats the queens and the Loins beat the Whiners the Loins will be up a game in the record. If the Queens beat the Loins they will be tied again in record and will split head to head. Is the tie breaker common opponents with the Loins beating the Packers twice and the purple shit heads only beating the Packers once?

2nd tiebreaker is division.... 3rd is common opponents.

Two Clubs

  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory in all games.
  6. Strength of schedule in all games
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss

So the Vikings have a QB with an expiring contract and a rookie who may or may not be ready to play in 2025?

Maybe the Vikings think this team is more ready to win "now" than they were planning.

Maybe they think that one missing piece is a proven vet QB. Maybe a guy that's won a Super Bowl! A guy with not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4!!! Count em' 4 MVP's!!

Surely there isn't a player of this caliber that is on a team so sick of this great player that they are ready to catapult him out of New Jersey (or whatever state this imaginary team plays in) so that he can be conveniently available to sign after an appropriate courtship and bending of the knee which I can only assume is all but decided at this point.
