@WesHod: LaFleur on if Jaire Alexander (knee) has a better chance this week: "I'd say probably not"

LaFleur says Alexander was limited.

LaFleur on whether Christian Watson (knee) could play after missing practice Thursday: "I think he's played enough. If he's feeling up to it Sunday, we'll let him go. If he's not, we won't let him go."

Sundays game will be the 129th meeting between GB and Minnesota. For Green Bay it’s an opportunity to increase their series lead to 67-59-3. For the Vikings it’s 129 games without winning a Super Bowl.

Minnesota played in 4 Super Bowls their first 16 years as a franchise. That’s impressive. They never held a lead in any of those 4 Super Bowls. That’s not impressive. They haven’t played in a Super Bowl in 47 years. That’s natural suck finding equilibrium.

I get Chicago is enemy #1. They’re going to hire Ben Johnson and be a division problem. For many years. And it’ll be great having that rivalry ramp up again.
But I fucking hate Minny. The fans. The horn. The fans. Paul Allen. The fans.
Sunday is huge.

Huge for you. Huge for the Vikings.....

The Packers? Less so.....

Again..... Packers just have to decide if they want Detroit to win the division with #1 seed or if they want the Vikings to win the division. & have the number one seed.

The Packers control Detroit's and Minnesota's destiny. 🖕🏼😈🖕🏼

You are assuming the dysfunction that is now the McCaskey family will stay out of the way.

I'm not sure Ben Johnson is going to want that, unless he really thinks Caleb Williams is going to be a superstar. If Johnson does, he'll take that job no matter what.

If the Giants pick first and he likes the potential of the top pick for their QB, that might be the better job.

I had to look...
Buffalo has actually held a lead in 2 of the Owls they played in; their 1st in 1991 vs the Giants, they took a lead in the 2nd qtr and held that until the Giants scored in the 3rd qtr. A 4th qtr TD put them in back into the lead, only to have the Giants win with a FG (20-19).

In their 3rd Owl (1993) vs DallAss, they had an early 7-0 lead in the 1st qtr, but the Cokeboys tied, then took the lead in that same qtr, and the Bills were toast by halftime.

They were tied in the 1st qtr the following year also vs DallAss, but behind by the end of it, took a 7 point lead into halftime, lost it in the 3rd qtr and the rest is history.

One last bit o' trivia...
Buffalo, of course, went to the Owl in 4 consecutive years.
It took the Vikes 7 years to get a 4th appearance.

So, really, one could say that the Vikes have been their own special level of suck...

The only thing I really envy the Vikings for and the only thing I think they supersede "our" organization with is their fan base. Probably the most loyal fan base I've ever seen in the NFL and one that makes GB fans look subservient.

No. Playoffs start this week. Every game is win or go home. You have to have that mentality after you qualify. Every win is everything.

I guess you have forgotten that many Minny businesses bought unsold tickets numerous times so that the home games would not be blacked out. These were late season games when the Suckqueens were out of any playoff contention.  Loyal fan base my ass.  Biggest bunch of front runners in the NFL!!!  They can't hold a Packer jock strap.  They are too big of pussies to attend a game in a dome stadium when Packer fans fill Lambeau no matter what the weather is.

Pretty certain Detroit controls their own destiny in their pursuit of the #1 seed. If the beat the Niners Monday night, the Packers remaining two outcomes in the regular season don’t mean shit to them.

You're misunderstanding what I'm saying.

If the Packers want the Lions to have the #1 seed, they will beat the Vikings.

If they want the Vikings to have a shot at #1, they'll lose to the Vikings. Assuming Lions beat the Niners which isn't a 100% guarantee.

Yes Detoilet controls their own destiny but the Packers have a huge say in who gets #1 (Detroit) if the Packers beat the Vikings

Anyone else feel like Packers aren't being forthright about Jah?  Every week he makes progress, then has a set back. Something doesn't smell right....

I think he's gone after this year, unless he restructures with a massive paycut, and he's not the type of personality to do that.

He's played 4, 16, 7, and 7 (so far) games in the last 4 years. For as good a cover corner as he is, his pick 6 was the first TD he's scored in his career. He's just not a playmaker in the mode of McKinney or Cooper.

I would bet they've had liked to move on before, but he was cheaper to keep this year than to get rid of in terms of cap hit (24 million in cap hit vs. 35 million in dead cap to cut). Next year his cap hit is 26 million with about 14 million in new money and his dead cap drops to 19 million. There is no way he's going to be on the roster for that cap hit and that much more new money.

I think GB has decided Alexander is never playing another snap as a Packer. What I don’t get is why they didn’t put him on IR weeks ago. Maybe it was to protect trade value. I fully expect Alexander to cry GB didn’t clear him when he was good to go. You ride with one’s that got you here.

Has anyone here ever hurt your PCL?

You all know the drill....Packers keep crap in house.

@RobDemovsky: Packers game status report:

OUT: LB Quay Walker (ankle), S Evan Williams (quadricep), T Andre Dillard (concussion), CB Jaire Alexander (knee).

QUESTIONABLE: S Javon Bullard (ankle), WR Christian Watson (knee), LB Ty'Ron Hopper (ankle).

JA would be a perfect candidate to play for the Vikings. I can practically envision it already. Perfect mix of MN desiring another ex-Packer and JA wanting to get revenge twice a year against the team that wronged him.
