This is game is where my house is divided.  My wife is a huge WFT fan so I am sure at some point next Sunday I will get my dumb ass in trouble.

As for the game, I am not sure what to think of WFT.  They have a pretty good defense with a pretty darn good DL.  But they seem to struggle at times figuring out their identity on offense.  McLaurin is going to be trouble for this secondary and the Packers are definitely going to need to cover their TE.

@ByRyanWood: Matt LaFleur says #Packers starting center Josh Myers "most likely" will miss at least a couple games, though it is not a season-ending injury. So expect Lucas Patrick to be snapping to Aaron Rodgers for short-term future.

@TomSilverstein: LaFleur said that they're going to be careful with OLB Preston Smith, who injured an oblique muscle. He said they don't want the injury to get worse and will see where he's at later this week.

@ByRyanWood:  Matt LaFleur anticipates #Packers LT David Bakhtiari to practice this week for first time since tearing ACL. LaFleur cautions Bakhtiari needs "ramp-up period" before he plays. "When you're coming off a pretty significant injury, you don't want to just throw somebody out there."

The Prince of Darkness can hold down the center. He's not Jim Langer but he's somewhat solid. Runyon is picking up where his Father left off. Jenkins still leads the offense in tackles. Billy T has big hands and quick feet and Newman needs to quit spending so much time in Jerry's apartment and hit the film room. No need to rush Bacteria back.

I think the 'skins defense has a lot of playmakers and the ability to be good/very good.  But so far through 6 games, they've been average at best.  After giving up only 20 points in week 1 to the Chargers, they've proceeded to give up: 29 to Giants; 43 @Buffalo; 30 @ Hotlanta; 33 to the 'Aints; and 31 to the Chefs. That's a lot of points.  Grant it, with the exception of the Giants, those are some potent offenses.  But the Packers have a potent offense as well.

And their 4 First Round picks on the D-line have combined for 9 sacks thus far. Kenny Clark, Dean Lowery, Kingsley Keke and TJ Slaton have combined for 6.5. AR and MLF have the ability to neutralize their rush by quick drops/reads and getting the ball out in 2-3 seconds. That said, the line will need to play well like they have the last 5 games.

Statistically speaking, both offenses are remarkably similar passing, rushing, and scoring. The biggest exception is INTs; their guy has thrown 6 so far.
Defense is a whole 'nother story. WAS is 31st overall; dead last vs the pass and scoring. They are a bit better vs the rush, but still mediocre (20th).
For as much as I cuss our defense at times, they actually rank well. 10th overall, 6th vs the pass, 15th vs the rush, and 16th in scoring.

I can't see this game being much different than the 2-3. ARod and Adams likely will abuse their DBs, we'll run the two-headed monster at RB, and add a  sprinkling of receptions for the TEs and other WRs.

On defense, I think the MASH unit can hang with the weaker offenses. The DL and the LBs are playing good enough to relieve some pressure on the DBs. WAS has only given up 6 sacks this year, so they will have to be even better this week.

In the end, I expect a game where the Packers may lead the entire game, and certainly should win it, but it will be closer than it has to be.
GBP 35 WFT 24

Got to say that I really like the jerseys. I shelled out some $$ for one this year (seriously) and love it.

On another note, am I the only one that can’t get passed the “WFT” and “WTF?” It’s literally taken me like one year to not think someone is asking “What the Fuck” rather than referring to this next opponent. It’s an easy thing to decipher, but it’s been messing with my head.
