Nick Collins is done. GB is ultra-conservative with injuries to begin with. Without having any results from testing, MM has already stated he wouldn't let Collins play if he were his son... Collins' agent basically agreed with MM in a follow up statement.

In short, GB had better find somebody to play that spot in 2012 because it ain't gonna be Collins. Maybe Jennings is ready?

Obviously safety is going to play into the best defensive player available in the higher rounds. Trumaine Johnson or Harrison Smith may be holding better value than any OLB or DE at 28.

I really like Smith. Center-field type safety, extremely fast (ran a 4.56), and plays the run really well. He's a hard worker and just seems like the kind of player TT would like.

I also really like Brandon Taylor out of LSU. When I watch him on tape, he reminds me a lot of Nick Collins. Another center-field type, plays all over the field and can make some big plays in the secondary.

Not to be crude, but does anyone know how much money this release adds to cap space?

BTW, cap clearance from Collins according to PFT is a little over 3 million. 1 million will still count (according to them) because that is part of his sign-on bonus.

But with another 3 mil, GB is more then comfortable under the cap now for rookie and as well as future extension talks for the key guys TT wants to keep around.

Every now and again I get something right. Thanks for noticing Jethro.

Two of my favorite plays. How about other individual plays (no QB-to-whomever) in playoff games to win or change the course of play? Starr's sneak? Maybe Desmond's kick-off return in the Super Bowl? Interesting thing to ponder...
