Pritzl gets fouled on a 3- no foul, Gard standing there like a dumbass.

What was he supposed to do, get a technical to put your team down even more??  Sheesh!!!   Sometimes the best thing you do is the thing you don't do.

Every... single... coach... does... this- they hammer away at the refs to get calls! And it works! From Coach K to Izo to Calipari to Dean Smith to Roy Williams.

You also must have been absent for the previous 15 years before Gard- Bo Ryan would have completely lost his mind about 11-12 times in that game.

And at what point in the game did this no call happen?  Was it early when pounding on the refs may have done some good or late when a technical would have been a sure game loser?    I would love to watch you on the sidelines. As angry as you get on here, a simple internet bulletin board with people you don't even know,  you would get kicked out of every game you coached.  And give the other team 4 points.

Look kids- this is what it looks like when someone cannot argue against the merits of a made point- instead resorting to attacking the person or their character (baselessly I might add) in hopes of deflecting the attention away from their inability to make a strong argument.

Good grief... really? Ok, fine.

Exactly what am I β€œrong” about?

That coaches go into histrionics on the sidelines when they don’t get a call they should get (or even shouldn’t)?

That Bo Ryan used to be one of them?

That the non-call on the Pritzl 3 was worthy of more than the β€œstaring into space” reaction that Gard offered- especially considering the fact that it was with 2:57 left in a close game in a lost season?

And I didn’t even make this argument before, but was there suddenly something to lose?

I Get it..  you prefer the pompon wavers, and you require conformity- after all, you’re a big bad mod. Seen that movie. Been around here a while now.

And I guess it fits your environment- the cows herd in there for the milking and don’t offer up much intellectual resistance. I would feel sorry for you if they ever did... can’t cattle prod everything, little fella.

So unlike your dairy cows, I have expressed an argument that you obviously can’t refute without exposing your own stupidity. Besides, I do not require that you agree with me- I’m not trying to convince you of anything because I know you’re an asshole. I’m just having fun now...

So quit while you’re behind...

So in your coaching expertise, a team down by what, 3 in the final 2 minutes can stand their coach getting a technical and probably go down by 5 and also lose the possession.  But the coach made a point by going after the refs.  Yep, that is good coaching.  Was their something to lose, just the game I guess.

And why bring my former profession into this?  I was very proud to be a dairy farmer. I've never attacked your music background, at least that I can remember.   But go on being the little boy that you seem to be. I expect nothing more.

Only an idiot would argue extremes.

If the question is should the coach do more to advocate for his players than a blank friggin stare? Of course he should. When I was a player I appreciated it when the coach fought for us.

And I would say that the overwhelming evidence is that it’s effective- that’s why the top ones all do it. The opposing coach, as much as we can all agree to hate him, is a frequent flyer on the β€œride the officials” plane.

Now think about this... you’re saying I’m wrong. That the above is wrong.

Sure, early in the game I have no problem with a coach getting on the refs, even getting a technical. You have time to make up the points. But late in a game, where you are already behind, but in a 1 possession game getting a technical there is stupid. 1. You really don't have the time to make up the points.  2. There won't be that many calls that challenging the refs would do any good. 3. You may have just made a 1 possession game a 2 possession game.  Of course all my points are rong but by god I got those refs good.   Good grief indeed.
