Theyre trying to get Rod Strickland’s kid, and they have Trevor Anderson eligible next year too (he has 3 years eligibility IIRC).

Wow.   Snubbed his head coach now did he?   Oh well, there must have been something between the two all season then....miscommunications on expectations?

Ouch- might have been some of the Locke room issues early on? 

There is no translation for Gard in Flemish.

So how many of you want Tony Bennett at Wisconsin now?   Gard and the Badgers would have given UMBC a tougher challenge than this. 

good point, Ammo.  Something went wrong in practice this week for Virginia or the loss of their top star off the bench was much more devastating that everyone thought.   It'll be interesting to find out what was going on in practice or the lockerroom because they sure were flat and unmotivated.....for the top seed in the tournament!

This is stupid. It was an upset- perhaps the greatest ever. But they were 31-2 in one of the toughest conferences in basketball. 

Bennett also has a vastly different resume than Gard- his teams have won 30 games 3 times (and he inherited a program stumbling) and he was the Naismith coach of the year at Washington State in 2007. 

His resume looks more like Bo Ryan’s did prior to the back to back Final Fours. His teams have struggled to advance. I’ll take Bennett over Gard all day...
