Pep was never a good fit for Bayern...German players want to play in the style of Die Mannschaft, not tiki-taka. Not sure how well Ancellotti will do there either. But when you're the biggest swingin' dick on the block, and can outspend everyone, you'll always be the favorite in the Bundesliga.
Bayern lost? Wow!
Yeah, West Ham always play spoiler with Spurs. I hate them.
If it makes you feel better GL, City lost to Ham at home, and drew on the road. Although, we've lost to some right $hit teams this year...so take it FWIW.
So maybe Tottenham will lose to some $hit teams the rest of the way, too?
West Ham is actually a decent team. No shame in losing to them, particularly in a derby match on the road. Spurs will definitely choke. We always do. We will probably lose to some crappy team like Sunderland.
Nice read on Spurs...
I've pretty much come to the conclusion we will finish out of the top 4 and kiss Champions League goodbye, and be relegated to playing in Europa League...which is fine.
This team is an absolute mess top to bottom...and part of it is the abundance of high dollar talent. Which can be an effective way to win (Barca, Bayern, Real) however, Pellegrini has no clue how to manage it. Part of it is City has been snake bit on injuries...front line gets healthy, back line loses Kompany. They get Kompany back, lose De Bruyne in the MF. The MF is a total mess right now...Toure, as much as I bitch about him, played like a warrior in the CC final. And his absence was obvious vs. 'Pool on Wednesday.
City doesn't need someone like Messi, they need to dump some of these high salaried guys, and bring in solid MF's and maybe some strong developmental CB.
This was a choke job. 2-1 up up one man and we commenced to give up the ball all over the park. Terrible!
You didn't really expect them to win, did you?
Can't believe how many missed ops for both sides in this Dortmund-Bayern game.
VIdal has been an offensive liability today.
At least Bayern kept their 5-point lead.
I'm still worried about the CL, though.
Well, Spurs can get back in the winning groove this weekend with Villa...I just have a bad feeling the Canaries are going to give City the bird...especially with Toure out.
As if it couldn't get in any lower for City, drawing with Norwich on Saturday.
A top 4 finish even seems far fetched at this point.
F Pelleweenie!
Yeah, Spurs played Villa. Eating Villa 2-0 shouldn't count. Putrid team for what has been a traditionally good club.
And thankfully, Leicester maintain their 5-point lead atop the table.
Leicester Sh1tty indeed. Are you wrong about everything?
I thought Goalline was a nice guy. Obviously, I was wrong about that.
After Thursday, Tottenham will be able to focus 100% on the EPL like Leicester.
They'll win neither. Life as a Spurs fan. Should have been like you and jumped on a sure thing.
It's not my fault my grandparents were Bavarian.
No. Your grandpa's fault for marrying his sister.
At least he had the good taste not to marry into your family.
That is a really good point.
My mother was born in Bavaria, immigrated in 1951.
I could give two $hits about Bayern.
I have absolutely zero ties to England or Manchester, but they are my squad. We pick who we pick. It should just be simple as that.
Wow...Bayern gettting skull-f*cked in the first half by Juve...didn't see that one coming.
I thought I mentioned in one of the threads that I didn't think this was a vintage Bayern team. They'll probably get waxed in the quarters unless they draw Wolfsburg.
You can have Guardiola. Watching tiki-taka is like watching the Packers moving the ball at will between the 20s and then having to settle for a FG because they only have Richard Rodgers as a tight end in the red zone.
That having been said, I feel bad for Goalline. I imagine him sitting there in the 89th minute cackling with glee waiting to hit submit on the celebratory post, and then Thomas MΓΌller gave him that giant middle finger.
LOL! Maybe you should just enjoy your Bayern matches without imagining the reactions of the dude who hasn't watched a Bayern match in a year.

Have some pity for Fedya. He felt obligated to support the only team in Bavaria https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TSV_1860_M%C3%BCnchen , because his grandparents made him.
Now I know how the Rockefeller kids feel. Sad!

Sometimes I feel like this thread is like 3 drunks in a bar talking $hit, and occasionally Kiel looks up from his white wine spritzer and chimes in.
Well, that's because Kiel is in a stupor.

It would have been easier to enjoy the match if they hadn't relinquished the two-goal lead in the first leg and then gave up two more goals in the first half hour.
It's not just my grandparents. My grandfather was the only one of 11 (I think) kids to emigrate. With the way Catholics bred like rabbits back then, I think I'm related to half the population.
My godmother Irma, God rest her soul, was one of Dad's first cousins. She came over to visit for my sister's wedding back in 1988. Somewhere I've got a picture of a very young me dancing with her at the reception, if I can find the photo.
I heard about the match when I got home. My son asked if I had heard about the Bayern Juvenile match. I hadn't. He explained what happened. Wild match.
Hoo...Aubameyang...
WOW!!! Nice defense, by the way. Leaving the most dangerous man on the pitch wide open.
So Bayern draw Benfica.
Packfoo gets PSG.
Barça get Atlético, and Wolfsburg play Real.
Two Spanish semifinalists, and don't ask me to pick the other winners.
