Weren't Joe Staley and JJ Watt former TEs? Do the Packers have any former TEs on the OLine? Depending on the player and the coaching he receives it can be a real positive.

And just because they're looking at an OL who can play all 5 positions doesn't mean he will play all 5 positions. I feel like the coaching staff learned their lesson with shuffling OL so much after guys like Colledge and Lang kind of complained about it. Once they settled at a position they seemed to thrive and I think the coaches saw that. Only the back-ups (Van Roten, EDS, Barclay) saw time at multiple positions last TC from what I remember.

Amen. But then TT hasn't drafted a hybrid since Campen failed implementing the ZBS. Draft olinemen that have played the position throughout college.

I personally don't have an issue with a TE making the conversion but it just doesn't work on this team.
