MM names Tolzien as starter. This is his chance to show he should be the #2 next year.
Pressure is now on for MM to craft a real game plan for Tolzien, not the ARod tough passing routes on 3rd downs (sideline outs, deep passes) We need to be a more West Coast style offense, short passes, bootlegs, screens (and please, stop throwing to Kuhn in flats or checkdowns--he can't move---put Franklin in if you are going to do that)
Pressure is also on Capers. For all the good work they do getting backups ready to play, the meltdown the past two weeks at the end of the game is inexcusable. If defense doesn't improve over the next 8 games, it really questions why we should keep Capers around.
And, lets not forget special teams. Our kickoff return team is the worst in the NFL---its not the returners alone, but the fact that we are unable to block on returns.
