Ahhh.  I see what you did there.

You can just about stick a fork in my too at this point.  It's really hard to watch but on the other hand (the D's newfound suck aside), it's recalibrated expectations for me.  If there isn't some colossal adjustment by the D, the playoffs would be an incredible surprise at this point.

Every team is dealing with injuries this year, maybe more than any other year.  But there is a huge difference between losing a starter or two and losing 8 or 10, plus another half dozen of their immediate back-ups.  And your mvp qb.  "Injuries are not an excuse" is a great meme but to be really honest and calling a spade a spade, how is it not at this point?

And I'm not complaining (at least not in this post), it just is the hand this team has been dealt.  When they lose, there is no asterisk next to the L.  A loss is a loss and a win is a win.  It's just a matter of acknowledgeing things as they are, not what they could be or are supposed to be.  Right now this team is not a playoff caliber team and if these conditions don't greatly improve, it is how they will end their season.  If they do turn things around, great.   That will be quite an accomplishment.

Even with all the injuries I felt the last 2 games were winnable, especially being at home.  There were still plenty of proven veteran starters out there, did they step up?

Check out Raji's stats,  Tramon's drops, Brad Jones missed tackles, Crosby's  misses,  Jordy needs to make that catch, we have seen James Jones get both feet down before. Did Pickett play yesterday?

IF those guys make one or two plays they just might have pulled it out.  I read all last week where some said they would, it did not happen.  Someone needs to step up and make a play.

Losing these 2 home games to me means that the Lions game is a must win.

CHI will not be in the playoff hunt - they just lost Tillman to IR. While they designated him for return that is 8 weeks away which is the post-season.

I think the Packers need to win the division and beating out DET for that will not be easy. The Lions look to have a fairly easy schedule.

@PIT

TAM

GBP

@PHI

BAL

NYG

@MIN

And, if you think WC is still an option, the Packers will have to get one of two spots and likely fighting with SFO, CAR, ARI, DAL, PHI... I think they'll have to win the division to play in the post-season.

About damned time. He should be feeling some pressure. Same problems every year; it's his job to get that stuff fixed, and it's not getting done. How many times can he put his feet up on Ted's desk and say, "hey, not my fault - that's Dom's job"?

This? this is just a stupid staement.

Really starting to get concerned about the D, for a stretch they were playing very well but not so much.  There is just too much individual talent to be this bad as a unit.  These are big IFs but maybe just maybe once clay gets to ditch the club, hayward comes back and Hyde to S it can be a servicable D.?

+1

another knee-jerk, the sky is falling post. did you even watch the guy play? 4 days after being called up from the PS. wallace got all reps in practice, then quit, yes, QUIT, in the game. Tolzien not only came into a game with absolutely no preperation, but he played pretty damn good.  I think we beat both the Giants and the Vikings with him.

Wallace? needs to be cut! quitter! left his team in the lurch, ala Cutler in the NFCC a few years ago.

No idea how anyone can say after this one game that he isn't capable of being an NFL QB.

Agreed
