I'm glad somebody does.

He is right though...what has happened doesn't matter anymore. Now is an opportunity to rewrite the story of the 2013 season. The 2006 Colts had a very bad defense that turned it around for the playoffs...anything is possible.

@MikeVandermause

MM: We're playing heck of a team.

@MikeVandermause

MM: We projected Brad Jones would have chance to play, but didn't think he would be ready.

@MikeVandermause

MM: We will look at season opener vs. 49ers on tape.

@MikeVandermause

MM: The way we win games, our identity has changed. We play differently than we did earlier in year.

@MikeVandermause

MM: Anything in life, when you earn it, it feels better. There's an importance in earning everything. Very rewarding.

@MikeVandermause

MM: Jordy Nelson is perfect picture of how you want offense to play. He prepares same way Monday through Saturday.

MM says a lot of good things and this is indeed one of them. He of all people has to convince his defense they are good enough to beat anyone. Shut out the haters/naysayers and tell this team they are about to kick the crap out of the 49ers.

@MikeVandermause

MM: Rodgers had some throws early that weren't exactly where he wanted to be, which is hard for him because he's so accurate.

@MikeVandermause

MM: Rodgers got more comfortable in second half. They were aggressive, glad they were, when aggressive vs. Aaron there is opp for big plays.

@MikeVandermause

MM: I think this is probably his finest hour as a Packer, in regard to Rodgers.

@MikeVandermause

MM: Dom Capers is as competitive as anybody on our football team. You can see it and hear it on game day.

@MikeVandermause

MM: We know we have to play these guys a little different than we did last time, when issue was third down production.

@MikeVandermause

MM: Our defense is different than in Week 1.

@MikeVandermause

MM: We're a much better running team today than we were in Week 1. That was Lacy's first game, he was very nervous. He is playing much better

@MikeVandermause

MM: Lacy is in a different place today.

@MikeVandermause

That does it for McCarthy's presser.

40,000 tickets available doesn't bode well for filling the stands with packer fans.  Though Green Bay in late dec. isn't appealing to many SF fans, I don't expect a great crowd.  Cripes, weren't they a bit quiet last year vs. MIN?  Very disappointing to see so many opposing teams' fans at lambeau but I hope everyone who can go takes it up a notch!

Every one of them was available to Packer fans alone from 9am to 2pm today. Plenty of time for 10,000+ Packer fans to make it a true home game.

2008 Cards defense was awful and the 2011 Giants D was also bad

Like in any sport though, goal is to just get in. Once you do, it's a crapshoot. Pack likely won't be favored in any of the games, but this offense can score vs ANY defense. If the D can just get a few key stops or get some turnovers...who knows

Really hoping to see this offense have a lot of 6-8 minute drives. That helps the D out more than anything. Less time on the field for them.

Sounds like the same discussion we were having when the team went 15-1 and also had an abysmal defense. Anything is possible but the current Packer defense really doesn't do anything particularly well and leaves the offense with virtually no margin for error. I'll hope for the best but temper my expectations with a healthy dose of realistic skepticism.

Nice! Right between 10-20 yd lines. Good row too.

Yeah, that makes 1 of us. I'm trying to figure out how they can keep Kaepernick under 400 yards passing & Boldin / Crabtree / Davis under 400 yards receiving plus keep Frank Gore from rushing for 150+

I got it!!

Aaron Rodgers = Cure-all!

17 play / 11:00 minute drives resulting in touchdowns....You know something we really haven't done all year long in the redzone.

HA! This is in the bag. Who's next?!?!

Season ticket holder I bumped into a couple weeks back told me that there is a huge contingent of long time sth that are really upset about renewing their seats so early for 2014.

Apparently, the Packers are asking for a deposit on seats a lot earlier than past years.  His words were that saying "no" to playoff tickets are a way to say FU to the organization.

Link?

The date was moved up several years ago but I didn't hear anything new about 2014.

Packer season ticket holders are spoiled IMO. Most only have to pay for 3 or 7 games and then have the choice to buy playoff tickets....and still complain about the invoices. I doubt a lot of other teams have such a low cost way to be a STH.

The Packers changed their policy on providing refunds for playoff tickets that weren't used. This year they are keeping the money and applying it to next years season tickets. There used to be a checkbox where you could decide to apply to next season's tickets. I always checked the box. You then received a bill for no money owed and/or a refund check.

The problem I have with the NFL is jacking up the playoff ticket prices. Last year it was around $750 for 2 tickets to all the possible home playoff games.

Actually, if current STH turned in their seats they'd be doing the team a favor...

lowering the number on the waiting list = less administrative costs keeping track of the 80,000 names on that list

And the the thousands in line would hope they do.......And the organization knows that.

They aren't letting the regular season games go without a fight.

With the re-sale outlets that are now available, sth can make 10% to 25% more than what they paid for the seats originally during regular season games.  Even Ethel in Sheboygan has sons/daughters/grandkids that have figured out how to post tickets and rake in the funds.

just an FYI...

A friend of mine has 4 San Diego Charger season tix....each December they get their bill for playoff tickets...if they don't order them...fine...but they usually do (just in case)...the caveat from the team is that IF they don't make the playoffs...then, the $$$ is applied to their Season Tix for the following year...

they've been doing that here for many years...

Blackout rules apply.

In Wisconsin, that will include the Green Bay and Milwaukee areas if all tickets aren't sold at least 72 hours in advance of Sunday's 3:40 pm kickoff.
