Very proud of the effort.  If Janis hadn't caught that prayer, they would've lost by a Td.  In the end, that's what they lost by so the "miracle" plays evened out.  It just gets tired losing playoff games in spectacular fashion that get talked about all offseason.

D held the #1 offense in check for most of the game but those dropped INT's killed our shot at the upset.

Offense had suprising success with 84 and a little 83 in spots.  Maybe there is hope for this WR group after all!  The dead passing game was my biggest worry headed into the offseason because it just seemed like such a huge problem to fix.  But hey, maybe they figured it out.  Add 88 and 87 back in and next year looks really promising.

I don't think ARZ has a chance vs. SEA or CAR.

Ok, so, is this to much to even discuss???  our overtime loss or  the missed FG kick of the queens two weeks ago???  which one is worse....or more tolerable??  Just asking because I live in the queens neighborhood.....and what am I going to say to them tomorrow???

That's easy.  MIN led that game with close to certainty for 3 quarters.  GB tied on a last second hail mary.

OR

chip shot FG vs. trying to stop #1 O in NFL in OT.  Ask them which situation they would bet on.

I'm in Queenland, I have already started replying to text messages from Viking fans, I don't think they are going to say too much to you tomorrow or Monday.

One text I got said this "lost it in spectacular Vikings fashion" to which I replied "the queens would have missed the extra point to tie it"

**** them Viking fans, their team choked and ours lost a coin toss one game later in the playoffs.

That was a fun game!

that being said, they've now lost 5 straight overtime postseason playoff games, including 2 seasons in a row. They've lost 3 straight playoff games on the final play.  Both of those streaks must be an NFL record.

What was Clay Matthews doing on the long pass?  He caught up to Larry and then just stopped.

i was telling everyone around me that they should just go for 2 to end the game, win or lose. I still don't know how overtime is a better scenario there.

Fun game.  Capers squad was great this year, hard to blame them on a busted play going for big yards.

Have to give credit for McCarthy for figuring out when the first, second and third WR go down, he could call some plays to Abby and Janis!

Time to get Lacy some slim fast shakes.

This one wasn't nearly as tough as last year's NFCCG, but it still sucks.

Last year was much worse, by far. They were playing the best football of any team at the end of the regular season and were primed to win a SB.

That's not exactly true........they're actually 2-2 in their last 4 games.  They beat the Redskins 6 days ago, remember?

Now the Bengals.......they've lost 7 straight playoff games, maybe more if i go back to the 80's and 90's.

With the exception of my 4 Super Bowls and numerous playoff victories, I feel like a Viking fan now and that hurts. I'm running out of Ammo.

Also, Teddy Bridgewater couldn't throw a Hail Mary like that with a running start, let alone falling backwards. He missed some throws this year, but I think we may not appreciate how good AR12 is. A 65 yard pass perfectly placed on 4th and 20 and one of the best Hail Mary passes in a pressure situation I have ever seen.

TT...PLEASE get us a tight end for next year. Not having one is killing this team in the red zone and doesn't allow us to use the middle of the field. Oh, and a punter too.

See. I take the opposite view of Richard Rodgers. I think he is strictly a short yardage red zone type. That's what he did best last year. But with the outside receiving threats kind of blunted people covered him. It was different when defenses had to worry about Nelson and Cobb.

This defense gave up a full games worth of points and yards in the second half, please explain how that's outstanding defense

They gave up 13 points in the second half, three of which were gimmes because we turned the ball over inside the 25 on downs.  6 points came in OT.

Keep on posting and cementing your status as the board moron.

The thing that frightens me the most is that I'm getting used to **** like this.

Well...under MM

07 NFCCG loss in OT

09 OT loss to Arizona

13 loss on last second FG by SF

14 OT loss to Seattle

15 OT loss to Arizona

Last time I checked O.T. counts as the second half plus they gave up nearly 300 yards in the second half including overtime, that's ridiculous no matter how you look at it...moron

One question. How ugly was Shields drop?

Drops. Plural. 3. Two in the red zone. That said. The "ole" tackle in OT was bad too.

What I learned from Seattle last year..... Watch the post game, consider yourself fortunate to be a fan that is always in the conversation, let the buzz wear off and watch Caillou with the kids or some apocalyptic show on History Channel with your wife to try and put stuff in perspective. Wake up and feel like possibly it was a dream, then realize it wasn't but still see the sun. Maybe not if you live in the Antartica that is WI in late January.

The rest of the year really sucks as you're left with your thoughts and replays of another "Greatest Playoff  Game Ever Played" that the Packers lost.

But you know what? I'll be there next year. I'll buy one of the next ugly ass throwback jerseys. And I'll support this team because it's in my blood. I can say I'll never watch football again, but that's gibberish. This team sticks with you.

Worse than the Micah Hyde drop miss vs. the Niners but I screamed the same obscenities at the TV & felt exactly the same

He looked great defensively, and physically he was his old self. Really good coverage. It looked like what it was: a player who hadn't practiced in weeks so he wasn't "ball" ready. The ball came and he wasn't ready for it. Like he wasn't used to catching it from lack of practice.
