I quit watching at half time........feel so much better.

I'm not NEARLY into football like I used to be so the loss is "whatever."

Terrible defense... again and again and again and again and again and again.
Under MLF havenโt lost two in a row? Good omen for Thursday? Thatโs about all I got.
+ MLF has never lost two in a row.
- entire team looking past MIN to Thursday night.
- new DC and tons of high draft picks and FA's and it feels like 2017 again.

Defense. Can't stop the run, isn't forcing turnovers and struggles to get a stop or force a FG. IOW, not really doing anything well
Eight points in the second half isn't good enough.

No injuries to speak of for the Packers.
To many freaking Penalties and I donโt feel like drinking my Grape Crush!
I actually thought Rodger was outstanding save for one bad pass to Jack Steinbrenner. ESB really robbed the team of mo
I would say it the was shitty defense and two costly 3rd down PI calls that robbed the team of mo.
+Rodgers and Adams did not get hurt.
+Trade deadline is 2 days before the next game.
-Team was exposed for what they are, a 1-win expanded Playoffs team--all it really takes is a defense or a real running game to lose.
-I suspect Gute will trade two of our "receivers" for Love's backup before the Tuesday trade deadline.

This is me as well. Bummed they lost, but my day isn't ruined.
With this defense the game was lost at the coin toss. Tied at half, advantage goes to the vikings
-91 dropping into this fire zone AGAIN
+ 30 played his tail off, thinking about keeping this guy around
+ 17
+ I mean the ilb were not terrible but that d has got some real big problems
- they get punched in the face and there is no response - thatโs a problem in a physical game...
- esb and 37 punch their cards the experiment is over

Rogers didn't get hurt
Adams
Taking the weather into account and going on 4th several times
A few nice long drives

Gotta give Zimmer credit. With a decimated defensive roster and a bunch of no-names, he held Rodgers and LeFluffer to 1 late TD in the 2nd half.
Losing?
It happens.
Playing like chit because the players just aren't that good?
That can/will/does happen.
Guys that don't appear to be actually trying? And look like they DGAF?
Pisses me off to no end.
Looking at you Alexander, Savage, Jackson.
Even guys with marginal talent can try hard. No excuses for the starters not doing the same.
+ To Montravious Adams for making a handful of plays in 3.5 seasons and being on such a sucky DL that there is chatter about you getting a second contract.
++ To Tyler Lancaster for somehow getting a significant snaps on an NFL roster... for 3 seasons.
+++ To Dean Lowry for somehow getting a $20M second contract from the Pack despite doing nothing ... unless you are literally unblocked.
++++ To Mike Pettine for fooling the Packer front office into thinking that because you are bald and don't smile you somehow possess an intense demeanor that will be passed down to your players.
+++++ To Brian Gutekunst for riding the talents of Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, David Bakhtiari, Cory Linsley, Davante Adams, and Mason Crosby (all selected by Ted) and the creative offensive mind/head coach selected by Mark Murphy to such good records the past 2 regular seasons that very few Packer fans are paying attention to your overwhelmingly shitty draft decisions.
- To Vike fans who were hoping to FINALLY get a top QB like Lawrence or Fields.
Matt LaFleur calling out his team for lack of energy: "The juice of our football team wasn't where it needed to be."
โ Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) November 1, 2020
Seems like a common refrain after almost every Packer loss. Whose fault is it the energy level isn't where it should be?
Two of the last 3 games have been absolute shit shows. The feel good taste of the Texans win has been replaced by another turd sandwich.
4 days to get ready for SF...
Matt LaFleur on the state of the Packers' run D: "We better get it fixed and fast because I have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen (Thursday) in San Francisco. โฆ The formula has been written, We've got to step up and get it fixed. If not, we're going to keep getting these results."

I think this has been true for many in 2020. Other things going on in life. Traffic seems down here this season.
Biggest Minus - I could be wrong, but I don't believe the Pack ever forced the Vikes to punt until around the 11:30 mark of the 4th quarter. Not only did they not force them to punt, they gave up primarily slow time consuming drives that shortened the game which played into the Vikings favor. Never forced a turnover or did a "bend but not break", they broke every single time and gave up 7 on each Vikings possession until well into the 4th quarter. Mike Pettine's defense gets an F double minus for this game for how bad this was.
Honestly, you're better off giving up 28 points quickly instead of giving it up slowly and methodically as Pettine's defense did. By doing that, it kept Rodgers off the field and forced the Packers' passing game to make plays on a very windy day. They could have given the offense a break at the end of the game by stuffing the Vikes just 1 time on the final possession, but they gave up a 1st down which caused them to burn a TO and the 2 minute warning stoppage. On a windy day it was going to be almost impossible for Rodgers and co. to make a comeback with the little bit of time they were given.

1. Why? If he's cheap, sure, but he's not starter quality.
2. They weren't that good, either. We all knew Minnesota was going to run, it's exactly what they did, they played the "run stuffing" combo and they still got owner. The one good play was the result of three Minny linemen planting their thumbs up their butts.
I did like going for 2 at the end. I do like the aggressive side of Mayo.
I have to think, short of a SB win, ABM is gone
The Packers were taking 10 minutes to score and it was 5 minutes for the vikings

Is there a screen shot where he was literally lined up like a cornerback? Has he ever played that far away from the QB in his career?

They have Kenny Clark. If you watched the LOS today, they doubled Clark almost every play and the other guys couldn't make plays 1 x 1. The Vikings OL isn't even really that good.
Unless they make a trade for a stud DL, this isn't likely to improve.
This is a recurring theme for the majority of the last 10 years. If they make the playoffs this year, that's 8 appearances since the Super Bowl win. They've signed three high-level free agents since then- Julius Peppers, Z. Smith, and P. Smith. They've resisted signing other free agents over the years because they didn't want to mortgage the future. They'd rather optimize their chances of winning games three years from now than go all out in a single year or two and then have a down stretch.
In 3 years, we'll be watching Jordan Love handoff to AJ Dillon as the Packers (hopefully) fight for a wild card spot.

I'm wondering if MLF is being hamstrung by people higher up in the FO. (Forced to keep Pettine)

All I know is on the SECOND fire zone 91 was totally confused as to wtf he should do so he covered a nice patch of grass while 33 rtf up the gut
Look at some of the key plays in today's game. The Vikings schemed things to make Packer players that don't normally make plays do so. That was the difference.
Keke had Cook in the backfield and missed on what turned into about a 35 yard run for Cook.
Vernon Scott missed a tackle against Cook that would have stopped that 51-yard screen after a 20 yard gain.
ESB could have made plays on 3rd and 4th down on a key drive.
Chandon Sullivan got so toasted on a 3rd and long that he was 10 yards off in coverage for an easy conversion.
Josh Jackson. That's a constant.
MVS went over 100 yards receiving today (for his last 5 games combined). He's played over 250 snaps the last 5 games and has 9 catches for 101 yards. When Adams is getting coverage rolled to him, the other WR has to make them pay. He can't.
Their ILBs may be OK in a few years, but they are not run stoppers to say the least.
Sure, Alexander did have a key DPI, but for the most part the Packers lost the game because their weak spots got exploited.
They don't have playmakers to make up for this. 2 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries in 7 games are not the look of a playoff team.

I'm sure they are. It just seems when I've checked in this year there are more often fewer new posts than I remember in years past.

I think theyโre good enough to be a playoff team. But in the playoffs theyโll run into some team that can destroy their defense and itโs probably curtains for them at that point.
Anybody know why Lazard didn't play? I thought I heard he was going to be ready for this one.
