One of these guys will be the R3 pick for GB

IOW, a doomed player.
Any other Josiahs we should be scouting for the 3rd round?
Josiah Stewart would be a complete departure for Gutekunst. Guy had to eat a lot of cheesecake to get to 248# for the Senior Bowl weigh in and played at about 235#.
FYI: thedraft network.com has posted their Top 100 list. Go to their page and find the tab for "Top 100" at the top of the page. They also have links to these players, at the right of the page.
So we now have a list of the 100 players we won't draft in the first round?
Road Closures to begin soon, for the Draft, in Green Bay...
Sounds like a mess.
They couldn't put the stage up in Lambeau Field?
Or did the NFL want draft picks to make their entrance by coming down the sledding hill?
That would actually be awesome.
Hereβs a weird βwhat ifβ scenario: the draft is loaded at RB so teams may feel they can wait. What do you do if Ashton Jeanty is on the board at #23? Heβd easily be the proverbial βBest Player Availableβ, so would you draft him regardless of need?
I doubt heβs there, of course, but the same could hold true for someone like Malachi Starks at Safety. If you truly want to compete for a championship now, how much need and βpositional valueβ are you willing to overlook?
I donβt think positional need at RB or TE warrants a high draft pick this year. Same with kicker or punter.
Every other position can use, if not an upgrade at least added depth.

He would be very tempting to take him if he lasts that long. But, I think they desperately need to upgrade pass rusher, CB, and WR way before they need a RB. If they want RB depth they could always find one in a later round.

I'd rather we take Barry this time around instead of Tony.
Latest Daniel Jeremiah mock has us taking this guy...we could do worse than a versatile OT from tOSU...although "coming off a knee injury" concerns me more than "coming off a shoulder injury" did last year...and that concerned me a lot.
Simmons is coming off a knee injury, but heβs as gifted as any offensive lineman in the class. He also has the tools to play multiple spots on the O-line, something Green Bay has always valued.
Patellar tendon tear...not awful but not great...from Googles about recovery:
For an athlete, returning to sports after a torn patellar tendon typically takes 6 to 12 months, with most needing surgery to repair a complete rupture, and a significant amount of physical therapy to regain full function and strength in the knee; the exact timeframe depends on the severity of the tear and individual healing factors.
Drafting an OL with an injury is perfect!
Well, TBF, the only mocks that are remotely accurate with regard to the Packers come from Bob McGinn...so I don't think Jeremiah is going to be accurate here.
My guess is we either trade back, or take a player none of us have ever heard of/considered as of Feb 2025.
These NFL Draft Honks do not enjoy the deep tracks that Gutey has an ear for...he's scouring the Jethro Tull B-Sides right now....
And ends up with Tull cutting room garbage when it comes to the first round
Wasting all his picks on de-fense
