McGinn with some info on Packers/Tramon.
@BobMcGinn: #Packers increased offer to T. Williams to $5M per yr, drawing line in sand. He entered weekend seeking $30M over 4 yrs. Got $7M avg w/Clev.
5 mil a year was still a bit generous. 7mil is just too high for a declining 32 year old CB.
That's money better spent on a player like Mike Daniels.
Happy Tramon didn't take the $5 million. Very fair & generous offer for previous accomplishments from TT & Russ Ball.
I'm a bit surprised TT upped the offer, but then I realized that they hoped to get another year or so out of Tramon as a bridge to whomever they draft or the Goodson or Jay-Wright (?) kids. Now, they just have to make the jump sooner and there's less room for error if TT drafts a DB.
Sign the two nose tackles, and draft a CB in the first three rounds. The value should be there.
Wonder what Tramon's 1 yr deal looks like.

Bingo! Get that guy locked up early.
I think Perry will walk in 2016. Mike Neal might be worth a resign.
One last point (hopefully) about TT's drafting, FA moves, and player retention that I'll make is I think he is likely thinking at least a year ahead. IMHO, that's why he kept players like Hawk, Jones, Newhouse, and others. We may have to take chances and suffer the consequences if they are below standard for one year to set up the next.
Our cap situation reflects that; it's relatively healthy, monies available to re-sign key FAs, and can take advantage of opportunities if they become available.
Ditto for the draft. The healthy cap allows for lots of options, including the 'draft-and-develop' way of thinking.

@MoveTheSticks: Most NFL personnel guys consider SEA the most talented roster in the league. Who's 2nd? GB gets a lot of love.
On offense, which packer starter is not a top half guy? The tight end. Kuhn if there were enough FBs to make a comparison. Half of the rest are top 5 at their position
Defense is another story but there are signs of improvement.
It would be really nice to get to the SB while some of these guys are still on their way up. That whole fart-in-the-wind thing is hard to avoid when the free agent raiding starts.
Packers sign a FA.
@TyDunne: Packers make a move, add DB Kyle Sebetic, a 6-foot, 197-pounder out of the University of Dayton.
@TyDunne: He's out of Kenosha, spent time in Giants camp last year and Packers got a look of him at the veterans combine this week.
A little more here.

Sebetic, who played for Tremper High in Kenosha, is the third player the Packers signed this offseason.Green Bay also signed linebacker Josh Francis, who played in the Canadian Football League in 2015, and punter Cody Mandell.
Earlier this month, the Packers re-signed receiver Randall Cobb and right tackle Bryan Bulaga.
White boy who play's safety. Hmmm...
As part of his pro-day workout in 2014 prior to being signed, Sebetic reportedly ran the 40-yard dash in a respectable time of 4.51 seconds, according to NFLDraftScout.com, but it was his three-cone drill performance that was particularly impressive.
Pro-day timing isn't as reliable as the NFL Combine, but Sebetic's time of 6.69 seconds would've ranked second among all defensive backs at the 2015 NFL Combine and tied for fourth among 2014 participants. A good time in the three-cone drill is an indication of good change-of-direction skills.
As a street free agent that likely receive no guaranteed money as part of the contract he signed, Sebetic is a low-risk signing for the Packers at a time when offseason rosters are at 90 players.
Assuming he didn't receive any sort of bonus, the Packers could cut Sebetic at any time before the start of the season and not take a hit on their salary cap.
UPDATE 3:33 p.m. CT: The Packers made the signing of Sebetic official, listing him at 6' 0" and 197 lbs. for what it's worth.

The Seahawks made hay on the defensive side of their roster from a talent standpoint. On offense? Not so much.
Unpossible.
@SeifertESPN: .@SandoESPN grades each NFL on free agency. Top grade goes to only team that didnโt sign a UFA. (Insider) http://t.co/Dj8PQuon2O
Fans of every other team.... hate us
Talk about grading on a curve. Maybe I'm a bit conservative, but how do you give a team an "A" in Free Agency at this point? Teams generally either overspend, or don't get capable bodies to fill gaping holes to open draft options, especially only a couple of weeks in.
This is another one of those situations where "someone's amp has to go to 11" irks me a bit and getting an "A" should be pretty darned tough. I'd give Green Bay a solid "B", which is as good as it gets thus far, but too damned early to be singing too many praises or completely writing most teams off. Damned instant gratification culture.
And stay outa my yard!
I can see giving out an "off-season grade" around the end of August once the final 53 are set across the league.
Shouldn't the grade be combined with Free Agents as well as draft class too?
That's IMO the way it should be. Any time until then it's really "incomplete".
This a 1st qtr grade. Finals isn't until Feb. 7, 2016.

Because to do otherwise would throw people into an existential crisis and force them to admit that on average, life sucks.
Technically just the best right tackle because the best wide receiver never made it to free agency
2 playoff wins since 2010. It's probably not wise to get too haughty.
Here's a helpful hint for the future - just stop at "you're right."
You're welcome.
From the article that Cuqui posted:
"That offense is loaded. Now they have the whole draft to do whatever they want"
In Ted we Trust!
Not just Minn.
@BobMcGinn: From 2-16 to 3-10, GBP said bye to 6 vets. With Boykin to Caro, all 6 on rosters: Bostick-Harris (MN), Dorsey (NE), Jones (PH), Hawk (Cin).
Goin' high and low. Right to the labia!
That has to be the weirdest punch I have ever seen. It's like she usually hits things with a hammer but didn't have the hammer on that day.
surprised the zombie defense from the one on the right wasn't more effective
