Since we are  all hoping Barry gets canned at seasons end, who is out there that you would like to see as the new Defense Coordinator?

I thought there were several good candidates available after the 2022 season- Ejiro Evero, Jim Schwartz, Brian Flores, Vic Fangio & Steve Wilks. Maybe even Matt Burke. I would have taken any of them over JB. Not sure who will be available after this season or even if a change will be made. I hope so.

Evero may be available depending on what whackadoo ownership in CAR does after this season.

Belichick isn't going to be a DC anywhere because NEP is going to trade him for a ransom.  Yes, you can do that with coaches (see Sean Payton) and I've read multiple sources saying this was Kraft's plan.  This was before it hit the rumor mills today.  Or he retires.  Hope CHI doesn't make a run at him.  They have the draft capital for it.

Ransom?  Is Tommy B in the package?

Found on the internet,

82-97
*With Tom Brady for 20 years, the coach was 249-75 with 17 division titles and six championships. *Without Brady in nine seasons, the coach is 82-97 with only one playoff win. Since the quarterback left the Patriots after the 2019 season, they are 27-33 without a sniff of postseason

They won't be trading. Bill Belichick anywhere if his contract runs out. I don't think they own his rights unless he's signed to a deal.

The report earlier this season was that he signed a three-year contract that only him and Kraft know the details to. I have no idea what is accurate anymore and what isn't.

But if belichick's deal expires at the end of this season, I don't see how the Patriots have any rights to trade him.

I know their director of research, which is a salary cap and finance position.  Was in college with him.  He's been with them since the 90's.  Not sayin, just sayin.  He said he went by "Richard" but everyone called him Dick, for undisclosed reasons.

A huge plus is Love. He had a horrible night, but came through in the clutch when needed in that last drive.

- 'he who shall not be named' is still employed and calling the defense.

all the time MLF in his press conf. critizing the play-calling on the defensive side of the ball,....DO SOMETHING THEN!! Either he is incompetent or its not his call, which in itself is a big problem then.

Can someone explain to me why Bill wouldn't force Kraft to fire him? If Kraft doesn't want him anymore he doesn't deserve any compensation for him and Bill wouldn't want the team he's going to losing draft assets.

The real dumbshit move (IMO) was leaving so much time on the clock on the Packers last TD drive. I realize they were behind and needed a touchdown, but they should have run the clock down before scoring or at least make the Giants use their timeouts.

You run the risk of not getting in the end zone before the game ended, but that’s lower risk than letting Barry and his band of misfits back on the field.

The real dumbshit move is MLF keeping Barry as DC.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet (LaFleur can't win a Super Bowl), and especially not based on how this season is going.  But his loyalty to a fault with coordinators is costly.

He's the Brad Hoover of quarterbacks, thanks to GB.

I deal with Giants fans regularly. Part of me is happy for them finally having something to feel good about. Outside of last year, which was an anomaly, their seasons have been over by October for a number of years. The other part of me hates GB this week for berthing this ridiculous fawning almost singlehandedly. The last part of me wishes to high heaven they'd commission someone to come up with better monikers for their folk heroes. Danny Dimes, Sexy Dexy are terrible enough. Tommy Cutlets is just fucking stupid. Hopefully it goes the way of Linsanity from a few years back.

It will. At best they have a QB controversy next year as the fan base fawns over the backup to the already overpaid Daniel Jones. Fans get way too caught up in the short term. This guy isn't throwing for 400 yds a game. It's a feel good Christmas story for '23. It's unsustainable. It's also a warning for 10. Defenses figure you out in this league. You can't wing your way to consistent success. Clean up the weaknesses or get sent to the heap.

Maybe its just me but doesn't it seem like the Packers have a habit over the years of getting Hoovered in prime time games?

As for the game, I kind of saw this one coming.  The youth on offense and a lack of the playmakers being on the field hurt them.  Not nearly as much as the damn DC and his game plans especially his lack of game plan to stop the run.  I think the defense has given up 200+ yards four times this year.  You will never win at any level of football much less the NFL giving up those kind of yards.

I think 10 has already seen a good variety of D scheme and for the most part he is handling it well.  While there have been a few hiccups, he's making good play and protection calls at the line and reading the field well.  We've seen him make the wow throws and we've seen him make tough plays in crunch time.  Those are all things you need a franchise QB to do.  He's still struggling with inaccuracy and that can torpedo all the rest if it isn't kept at a minimum level.

Listening to LaFleur's press conference, I think you're misinterpreting what he was saying about the defense on the final Giants drive.  LaFleur intimated that when Barry called for man coverage the DBs were playing way too far off.  That doesn't indict the play call.  That is either a player issue or assistant coach/details issue.  He also said that on the play that Nixon was beat, that Nixon was likely peeking into the backfield without saying his name specifically.  LaFleur tries to avoid naming names in press conferences, which his team likely appreciates.
