@Brain …As a former first chair athlete…

Nothing  good for a players psyche , short term or long term, comes from losing. The most vocal β€œLose for draft pick” fans are fans  of chronic losing teams.

Losing is a mentality. Not one I’ll ever embrace.

++++ Just… just… wow. I did not see that coming. Love had a mistake-free excellent game; his run was perfect in that moment.Still under-threw Watson on that opening throw, but found guys down the middle and fit throws into windows that took guts to let it rip. Dillon may not be perfect, but he’s earning a spot for next year. Kraft wasn’t Musgrave, but his TD was carried out just the way it was drawn up. MLF’s game plan. Heath stepped up. Gary was a wrecker. OL. Punter. Onside kick coverage: take note, Bostick!

β€”β€” Anders needs to re-find his groove. Wish JoeBar hadn’t gone to the prevent; would have liked to keep Detroit off the board there, but the D made them work the length of the field and burned clock; they did what they were supposed to do.

The best part was seeing Love be decisive and stack another success after last week’s game. I guess we’ll keep him for another game!

++++ The Heart of this Packer's team! Love was really solid and should silence some, I repeat, some, of his naysayers! Watson, Reed, Kraft, Dillon, Owens and Heath were really good, today. Heath goes 4 for 4 and the guy can block! I cannot wait for Jones, Wicks and Musgrave to get healthy, so they can get in on the fun, as well. We ended the Lions win streak, of 4 straight games, over the Packers. This is a year in which we want to see improvement from our young players, every practice and in every game. GO PACK, GO!!!

---- Barry's defense needs work, yet. Anders Carlson misses a PAT and a FG(63 yarder). Hard to blame him for the missed FG. If he would have made it, it would have been the second 63 yard FG made against the Lions, if I'm not mistaken. Saints kicker, Tom Dempsey, was the first guy to kick a 63 yarder against the Alex Karras lead Lions.

++++ As a Packer fan behind enemy lines, this was a thing of beauty. I know the Lions are everyone’s darling right now, but I don’t want to hear it anymore. It’s been insufferable. They were celebrating a win this week since they pounded the packers in game 4. There are people here literally buying Super Bowl tickets. They can shove it.

- Nothing. I’m going to really enjoy the next 10 days.

3. They aren't getting Marvin Harrison Jr. or one of the premier LTs. I guess that's a good problem to have.

The best part about the last 3-4 weeks is all the young weapons showing they're capable of making plays. Heath looked vg in preseason and was buried in the depth chart. Harrison will improve any roster, but it's hard to see the pass catching group as an area of need going into the offseason. Guys stepping up due to injuries ahead of them is quite a thing to witness amid all the frustration this year.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise this was.

For all of my concerns about how many players couldn’t play today, I was floored at how well their replacements played.

The big question for me is this: Barry’s defense was much more aggressive today and obviously it made a huge difference. Was this change Barry’s idea? Did MLF demand a change? Does this mark the beginning of a new approach to the D that we will see regularly?

All of these questions and more are being asked by Packers fans across the nation. We want more of this new and improved defensive scheme!

They played man coverages at a much higher rate than I remember seeing at any point this year.

I think you like to try to shame and scold.   While feeling you have a view from some sort of moral high ground.

You try to play  gotcha and victim games all in one sitting.

Close?

Been thinking about this post for a bit.

I’m a complete fucking asshole….to complete assholes.

With age comes less tolerance for dumb motherfuckers….something to do with less time to be wasted on fake nice shit I guess. I have nothing to prove and nobody to please.
