Casey Hayward having a heck of a day. Just had a diving pass-breakup. That's 3 good plays (by my count) already for him. #Packers
Tom Silverstein @TomSilverstein
Hayward with a near interception. He's having a good first day.

Lyerla had two drops, not a good 1st day for him.
From MM:
Dropping Out of Practice
Nick Perry, foot and knee
The bad news is that after missing the entire offseason program, Perry's mulitple injuries from last season appeared to have lingered into the start of training camp. If there's a silver lining, however, it's that head coach Mike McCarthy classified Perry as being "close" to returning despite being placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on Friday.
Mike Neal, abdomen
Neal spent several week on the 2013 injury report with the same abdomen issue, what McCarthy called a "core" injury. He lumped Neal in the same category as Perry, saying he's "close" to returning, which would be good news. Neal also started training camp in 2013 on the PUP list, but was quick to come off a few days later.
Jerel Worthy, lower back
After missing the first 11 weeks of last season as he recovered from a torn ACL, Worthy should be very worried about his roster security after McCarthy said on Saturday that the defensive lineman is "going to be some time." Even when healthy enough to play, Worthy has yet to do much in a Packers uniform. Placed on the non-football injury list, Worthy presumably suffered the injury while away from team facilities during the summer.
Letroy Guion, hamstring
McCarthy shed little information on Guion's injury other than to acknowledge it was a hamstring. Like Worthy, Guion was also placed on the non-football injury list.
Jeff Janis, illness
McCarthy qualified Janis' issue, saying it was "just an illness." It wouldn't appear as if he will be out for long.
Limited
T.J. Lang, shoulder
Lang did take part in practice on Saturday, just not all of it. McCarthy said, "T.J., just being smart with him. He obviously was a participant in practice. He just has a shoulder; he's kind of working through some things."
If you want priceless, go over to PFT and look at the comment section under Jordy's extension story.
Queens trolling any Packer news is always a gem.
Bikes in camp is one of my favorite traditions -- as is winning Lombardis!
Vikings fans are upset at Jordy's extension because they wanted to see him in purple next year alongside Jennings.

I’m a Vikings fan, but I have huge respect for Jordy Nelson. Anybody who thinks he’s “just a product of Rodgers” needs to watch some of the insane sideline catches that he makes.
He spent half the season last year catching passes from QBs who were not AR. How did he do?
Word GL.
You could make the argument his best season was last year considering the mass mediocre of crap that were heaving passes to him. Compare that to Jennings..
85 catches 1300+ yards 15.5 avg 8 TD's.
Oh and those ridiculous circus catches.

Stay classy Minny. Day 1 oF 2014 training camp and they dust off the Brett's for some pics.
Douchebags.
It's the closest they'll ever be to a Lombardi trophy.
Good interview with Rodgers
He mentioned Greg Jennings briefly about the 2:45 mark
Lambeau looked great. Renovations are great. Best stadium in football. Practice field was at capacity. Bikes are the best tradition in football.
What a world class organization.
Looking at the pic C'jon posted, I don't know that those guys had any particular bad intent; they look typical, recent bandwagon "fans". IOW, a couple of dicks.
So,
Chilli is posting dick picks?
Glass houses, Chilli, glass houses
What the heck is the point of those guys doing that other than to try to be douche like trolls ? Their like hmm lets wear our purple #4 jerseys around Lambeau on the 1st day of training camp and take pictures of us in front of the Lombardi statue... now that should bring the Packers bad luck in 2014 for sure.
Or you should have said " you must have had trouble selling your purple favre jerseys on e-bay so you decided to wear them today and get more of your moneys worth out of them huh?"
Discreetly aimed pepper spray....dream from heaven

For what reason? What possible swag do they have over the Packers?
**** that organization. The day everyone affiliated with that team acquires the AIDS won't be soon enough for me.

For the record, I may have been slightly exaggerating the context of his comments to support my point. Do not challenge me.
I feel sorry for the Bills...my hometown team. Really pulling for them and EJ Manuel is a Florida State guy.
I feel sorry for the Browns...even though Johnny Football is slightly below Hitler on my list of role models.
Vikings? No. I love knowing that the NFL will collapse before they're ever relevant again.
From ESPN:
The Packers kept tight end Jermichael Finley's name on his locker throughout the offseason but when training camp opened Saturday, instead there was a non-personalized "Packers" placard in its place. There has been no indication that the Packers have medically cleared the free-agent tight end from the neck fusion surgery he underwent last November. "For him, it's a matter of getting cleared and I don't know his medical diagnosis [or] where he's at, but I can tell you we've had a number of those injuries and it's been tough for a couple guys [to come back]," Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said.

Really liking where this team is right now. Rodgers made mention some of the guys currently on the roster will be playing elsewhere in the league after final cutdown day.
The locomotive has started rolling down the tracks.
Rodgers looked stoked that training camp has kicked off. Sounded real excited about how things will pan out for the roster spots.

Or maybe they really aren't lonely ? There's probably more about those two than meets the eye if ya know what I mean
You could say the same about Minnesota, except there the locomotive is on its way toward the annual train wreck.quote:The locomotive has started rolling down the tracks.
We saw those 3 toolbags in Curly's after practice. They weren't being loud, but the company they were with thought it was hilarious and were showing off.
