I did not know this, but you are absolutely correct.

https://operations.nfl.com/the...rulebook/play-clock/

WHEN DOES A 10-SECOND RUNOFF OCCUR?

When there is a 10-second runoff, the clock starts on the referee’s signal. A 10-second runoff occurs when a team commits any of these acts after the two-minute warning with the clock running:

  • An offensive foul that prevents the snap (e.g., false start)
  • Intentional grounding
  • Illegal forward pass thrown from beyond the line of scrimmage
  • Throwing a backward pass out of bounds
  • Spiking or throwing the ball in the field of play after the down ends (except after a touchdown)
  • Any other intentional foul that causes the clock to stop

There were 8 seconds left when the Hail Mary was attempted.

The play should have never happened.

Also note the clock did not start on the refs signal on that play either.  So not only did we not get the 10 sec run off, the clock sat at 49 secs until KC snapped the ball.  We got double screwed.

One subtle positive - on the FG drive to go up 24-19 Love had no worries in going to Heath 3 plays after he dropped a pass.  Wouldn’t have seen that in the past few years.

I so do not miss the icing out of young players by our QB.

--- I thought I would get to watch this game because it was on network tv, but turns out that network is in a contract dispute with Directv so no broadcast at all.  And the pirated stream was sporadic.  Bastards.

Same here, Dr. Bob. So I thought I’d try to stream the game on Peacock, but couldn’t find it there. But then I saw that one of the Spanish language channels on DirecTV had it on. So I watched it with the volume turned off and listened to the Packer’s radio call from NFL+. Worked out pretty bueno.

+ During halftime when Simone Biles and Taylor Swift had their mud wrestling match. Simone was dominant!

? The big question mark for me (as it was last week vs. the Lions) is this: just WHERE did this Joe Barry defense come from? Did MLF give Joey an ultimatum to shake things up? Was trading Rasul Douglas (which I absolutely hated!) sending a message to the defense to clean it up or get out??? Seriously, what the hell???

Ultimatematum? Barry still rushing three on third and long! Idot!

++++Our receivers were excellent tonight! Same for Love! Dillon ran his but off. I liked how the Fullback blocked for him. Nixon's INT was huge. Our red zone defense was solid, tonight. Sacking Mahomes, three times, was great!  Beating the Chiefs after all the TV pundits picked the Chiefs to win. Proof that they do not follow the Packers, at all. Packers slide into the 7th seed with this win.  We are not done winning games this year. About 5 games ago I said we were running the table. We lost one of those games but won the rest. Our schedule could make winning out, a real possibility.

-----The DPI call on Owens's hard hit on Mahomes was bogus. Mahomes was in bounds and running with the ball when the defender hit him. The so called "non calls" on MVS, by Valentine and on the Hail Mary with Kelce and Owens had me thinking the announcers really did want KC to win.

Ignore those idiots.....watch shirtless AJ Dillon 😂

- Chefs fans are being whiny little bitches on Twitter.

+ I’m enthusiastically giving them the Times Four treatment.

Lambeau Field....

Not for pussies mother fuckers!!! 😆

All Negs - Joe Barry rushing 3 fucking D-Line on 3rd & 17...giving up a first down.

Why not rush 1 or even zero and drop 11

🖕🏼🤬🖕🏼

NFLFU NEG - Packers won this game like 6 times. It took the 7th to get the tally in the win column when the clock read :00

Really wish Jordan hadn't taken a 10 yard sack in the 4th Q. About the only "bad" play he had....however, it kept the clock running Soo net zero became a net positive when my boy Anders drilled that FG anyway!!

Neg - Packers will be favorites every game in the regular season rest of the way.

Neg - That was the last time the Pack will sneak up on anyone.

Neg - MLF with many swear words at someone on the sideline when he had to call timeout with defense on the field. Miscommunication from Barry?? 🤷‍♂️

MLF with more swear words in postgame locker room celebration. He owes a lot of money to the curse jar. 🤭

Are there any positives??😆

On the last drive, refs missed:

1. Mahomes was a runner, Owens should not have been flagged for personal foul.  Should have been Chiefs ball at Chiefs 40, not at GB 45.

2. Pacheco personal foul should have resulted in 10 secs run off the clock cuz KC had no timeouts.  Should have been 39 secs on clock, not 49 after that play, plus running the play clock which didn't happen.

3. Call of forward progress on MVS when he was instead moving backwards which should have meant the clock kept running with 19 secs left (really 9 seconds if #2 was called correctly), instead of stopping.

4. DPI on Valentine but it would have never gotten to that point had the first 3 been called correctly.

The sack was bad but keeping the clock running was way more good than bad.  A roll  out pass would have been better so it only would have been a 3 yard sack, not a 10 yard.  At that point in the game you are playing the clock, not the Chefs.

I saw that too. I thought MLF was going to lose his mind when he had to call that time out.   I'm glad he saw what Dinglebarry did not appear to see.    MLF is not just a offensive coordinator.  He has his grasp on the total game.

Also on the final play the push really had nothing to do with it.  Kelce would have needed to be on a step ladder to catch that pass it.  It was 4 feet over his head and he can't get his fat ass that far off the ground.

I don't normally watch Get Up  but it came on after Sports Center.  Anyway greenie was saying how great the Packers and Jordan Love looked last night.   The fat ass rex Ryan chimes in that he has never seen a QB improve as fast as Love has.  Pretty good compliments from a couple of New York know it alls.

Victory Monday.

Locker room post game. LaFleur with 6 or 7 F bombs. Love it.

These last two games have been an early xmas.

In all fairness, the Chefs have problems.  They're certainly not playing their best ball and their WR room looks worse than GB's.  That's the life of a perennial contender in the NFL.  Low draft spot, high salary cap.  But nobody in the AFC really looks ready to board the ship.

That said, even with all the injuries, including injuries to top players, this team fresh off the boat has a head of steam.  And their HC/QB are leading the charge.  You can only beat who they put in front of you and that list is looking ripe.

The NFC is looking pretty strong at the top between SF, PHI and DAL.  I don't think GB is in their weight class yet.  But to get into the playoffs and give some team a good scare would be invaluable for this bunch of underclassmen.

Was it my imagination or did Love change significantly more plays at the LOS than in any previous games? Could be a big factor in the offensive turnaround since MLF wasn't allowing him to do much of that earlier in the season.

Anyone notice who's been holding down the LT spot?  Is there hope?

They gave a good deal of help tonight. MLF was the anti-McCarthy. There were some pass plays where Wallace blocked down and Kraft/Taylor took the edge, which seemed to work pretty well. Game film FTW!

Especially when so many fans and pundits, alike, wrote us off, this season! I agree we are not in those other teams' weight class, yet, but this team is still growing and learning to win, together. We can beat anybody, if we want to. I love the heart of this team!  GO PACK, GO!!!

But there were also a couple of plays where Wallace blocked down on a defender that Jenkins was already blocking and let a rusher come free.

Yes. There were several times where it was obvious from the audio that Love was yelling "Kill, kill" at the line. I don't know if he was calling a play after that or whether they had two plays called in the huddle and Love had the option of checking out to the second play if he didn't like the look he had on the LOS. Either way, it's pretty clear he is reading NFL defenses at a very high level right now. KC may have had to simplify things when their 2nd string MLB got hurt, but Spagnuolo still ran some aggressive blitz schemes last night and only fooled Love a couple of times (and even then Love got rid of the ball to avoid the sack most times).

I was as annoyed as many of the rest of you were with Collinsworth continually gushing about Mahomes, but Mahomes is a top 5 QB all-time.

And opposing teams have had to endure 30 years of announcers gushing about Favre and Rodgers that made Collinsworth's comments about Mahomes last night feel pretty tame in comparison.

"He's just a kid out there having fun throwing the ball around. The old gunslingers just having fun."

The great thing is that there is a small chance (still very small) that announcers will be saying things like that about Jordan Love in 5 years. It's a small chance, but its higher than the 0% chance they'll be saying that about Justin Fields.

I was sick of commentators gushing about 4 and 12.

And I actually like Mahomes.  Even after the game when asked about the PI non-call on the Hail Mary he responded that he likes that refs let them play, that he'd rather it be decided on the field vs. a flag.  Such a great response.  Plus, Mahomes is the only future HOF QB in the league right now.  Maybe guys like Burrow and Allen join him but right now, it's just him.  There are no other QBs to gush about this season.

I will say though, Collinsworth was bad.  I rarely care about the commentary but wow he does not shut up.  It's like the game being played gets in his way.  I actually used to like him too, when he was just starting out.  But he was just brutal yesterday even ignoring the actual content of what he was saying.  He just won't stop talking.
