I'm certain he wanted the out to Jordy there and last minute realized he was blanketed and best case he throws an incomplete, with a high likelihood of a pick 6.  So, he reset and throws a nonchalant TD to Rodgers.

Fantastic point.

Hey, it is football, not ring around the posie.

Oy.

Joe Pisarcik thinks you're stoooopid.

What if it the Packers were down by 5 pts with 2:00 left?   I think it is a waste of two minutes of continuing great competitive football.  'nuff said.  Great win by Packers either way.

What if sandwiches were pancakes?!?

Try to keep things relevant at least.

That pass to Rodgers was a wrist flick that went 32 yards to an absolute perfect spot.

I know it's not always their choice. But I would think any WR would do anything possible to stay in GB. Make some rich scratch and run routes for Rodgers. You play your entire life hoping to catch lots and lots of passes from a QB this great.

WTF?

What if.

Brady is a crybaby, but he is the real deal. Can't wait to see how good Belicheat will be when Brady retires in a few years. I suspect the Bradyless Patriots teams will look a lot more like his teams in Cleveland. We often talk about how blessed we are as Packers fans to have Favre followed by Rodgers, but it doesn't even scratch the surface of how lucky we really are. The Packers of 1992-today and the 49ers of the 80s and 90s are the only two teams to have done that. I wouldn't count on New England being #3.

He pumped to draw the safety to Jordy and that prevented safety help on Rodgers in my opinion.

One could argue that the Pats are already #3.  Bledsoe was no slouch and led them to a SB.  Of course if you're taking about SB winning QBs vs elite QBs, well, like I said, one could argue...

If you're talking about an immediate dynasty in terms of SBs won over a short period of time, then sure you can put the Whiners and the Patzys up there.

If you're talking about a long-term dynasty of one team being a consistent contender and winning SBs over an extended stretch of time.....these days I'm a Packer fan first.

Never underestimate your opponents!   One game at a time.

But I agree @ BuffaloWings could be a challenge.   Also our last

game against Detroit could be huge.   I hope I'm wrong and that they

lose some games before then.   It's been a long, long time since Detroit won

at Lambeau, so we've got that going for us, which is good.   I hope it's a cold snowy

day that day for our guests from the FordDome.

This team took a playoff beating in 2011 and 2012. Held things together as best they could last year but lost. How many teams do that in recent history and come back a little younger and stronger and possibly better after 5 straight years making the playoffs. How good is Ted Thompson, really?

Contrast that with SF that looks to be regressing and rumors of trading their HC in the offseason while the GMs daughter tweets the OC has to go after coming up short 3 years in a row and the owner is tweeting apologies to the fan base because he's on the hook to fill over priced seats.

AR is the glue holding everything together but you look at Lacy, Bakhtiari, Hyde, Ha ha, Peppers, Linsley, Barrington, Adams, Rodgers, Cobb and a lot of others its impossible to ignore how good he is without ever hitting the panic button.

Paws:

+ Defense was outstanding.  This is a team that was routinly scoring 40 , we held them to 21 with a critical stop in the 4th quarter.  They converted me today, I'm a believer.

+ HaHa had two passes defended against Gronk. He was huge today, best game of all the secondary.

+ Barrington with some run support to start the game was huge.

+ Datone Jones was big today, didn't get his name called a lot but he was making an impact.

+ The Adams drop didn't cost us the game.  A play like that could really set back his confidence, but the W will help him put it behind him.

+ Cobb the utility knife.  MM with a great job of scheming to get him in favorable matchups.

Negs:

- Special teams, kick offs continue to be an issue.

One negative was the bogus illegal contact call that Edelman goaded the refs into calling on the drive that ultimately led to the Patriots' third TD.  Williams had position, and Edelman ran right into him.

Of course, I think every time receivers start pantomiming the throw the penalty flag gesture, they should be given a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

That was such a BS call. Williams had his RIGHTS to the spot, and the Pat jerk ran into him. How that call stood is stunning to me.

What an unbelievable coaching job by MM. The creative use of Cobb, the double moves by Adams, the smart and unconventional pre-snap formations, the minimal use of Hawk -- that was just an A+ coaching performance.

It was great to see the big contributions from the Rookies. Even in a relatively quiet game, Nelson delivers another pro bowl performance -- how on earth did he hold on to that ball at the goal line? I feel like I've seen James Jones fumble that before. And what a gutsy performance by that defenseâ€Ķthink about some of those killer drives last year when they couldn't get off the field, but they found a way to get some big 3rd down stops against a great offensive team. No one will confuse them with Seattle's D, but they don't need to be elite -- just solid. And Matthews + Barrington + Dix have really helped up the middle.

New England is a hell of a team, but Green Bay gave them 7 points with the missed FG and Adams drop. They have any red zone efficiency and they win this game going away. It's great to see them beat an elite team like this without playing a perfect game.

Also, on the plus side, it was refreshing to see BB not be a prick and show MM and AR such respect post-game. Good on him.

prior to KO, the Pats kicker and Crosby warmed up with some 40 yard FGs to the south endzone.  Crosby made all but one of his plus a 50 yarder.  The Pats kicker made one from 40 and pushed all the others to the right - just like he did at the end of the game.  I knew he'd miss that as soon as they lined up for it.

the DB covering Davante on the slant drop that would have sealed the game was crapping his pants before the snap of the ball.  We knew that was where AR was going before the snap.  damn, if he only woulda caught it.  Davante against 3rd and 4th DBs is a match made in heaven.
