Never understood that stereotype, everyone who isn't a psychopath loves fried chicken and watermelon.

Typical white man. First rock n roll. Now fried chicken?  For shame, GD, for shame.

Don't white shame me. I'm Appalachian American, carpetbaggers like Henry treat us the same as the blacks.

Always thought you were a Wisconsin transplant. All this time you were really a mountain nigger. Welcome to the club, brother.

You and Goalline look the same to me.

I should've stayed away from the keyboard on this.  I blame Goalline bigly for enabling me.

I am a bad influence. I know. Actually, I have to behave myself at work now. My boss is black (Yeah, Madison is a weird town). It is hard.

Come on, Mods.  Be consistent!  This is how good threads are destroyed....when some fascist far left liberal loon decides to throw in politics.  If you put an end to the start, then it stops.

You think Eddie does a garage sale like my wife?  Everything is a dollar because she wants this **** out of the house.  Or does he do it like the neighbor, trying to make as much money as possible for her old ****.

If it were't so far away, i could use a new cutlery organizer.

1,) Um, wait, what.  "this is new for me". Working out daily is a new thing for Lacy? He is a professional athlete.

2.) Now he feels the need to be more motivated? Last year, being a UFA and the ability to land a huge contract had he stayed in shape wasn't enough?

3.) He needs motivation from Seattle fans. Oh, ok.

Beginning to see more and more why Ted moved on.

I don't think Eddie is motivated by money. I don't believe he ever looked at 2016 as a chance for a huge payday. He'll have earned close to $8 million at the end of this year. Someone will give him another contract if this Seattle thing doesn't work out.

I could see Eddie owning a modest place somewhere along the gulf in Louisiana and just being chill for the rest of his life. He bought his parents a modest little place after he signed with GB. He's just a different guy.

Impression I'm left with is Eddie is still struggling with his diet and limiting caloric intake. Really liked him as a player but moving on was best for both parties.

Based on previous media accounts, he doesn't like watching football and doesn't seem that into it.

My take is that he's likely a great guy to hang around with and not that ambitious in terms of money as Chilijon said. He's not that into football, but he was one of these guys that was so good at it without a huge amount of effort that he couldn't afford not to do it. He likes the camaraderie and plays hard because of his teammates.

He'll be much happier hanging around the house and maybe working in a little town somewhere - maybe he'll open a restaurant (I'm not being sarcastic) after he's done playing and just enjoy life.

I think Eddie likes football. A lot. I think he likes cartoons. I think he likes pizza and Taco Bell. I think he likes scary movies. I think he reminds me of Josh Baskin in Big. I think he never had a childhood. I don't think money is a motivating factor for him. Just my opinion. And I think he's a good kid and really good at running the football.

228 might be too light for his punishing style, and how the Seahawks might be wanting to use him. 235 seems like the right number for him. Good luck to him, because I think he needs that. Had hopes he could keep the weight in check, especially after the P90X work, but the injuries hit and that's hard to deal with for a guy who needs to manage his weight.

I know that I started this thread but have no ill feelings for Eddie. In fact I wish we could have found a way to keep him. But he really is a "big" unknown. He may be overweight but is a powerful RB. That said, I hope he proves GB right in letting him go. I really dislike the Seahawks. Right now I think that Mays seems to fit that role and has done powerlifting in the college offseason and "may" fit Eddies role better (if he can get a good spin move going). He is a solid 230lbs and what we hoped Eddie would be but does not have the top level experience and draft expectation that Eddie had. In any case we have three new drafted RB's to tryout.

I really liked Eddie those first 2 seasons.  I remember going to training camp in the summer of 2013 and Eddie was the most impressive player on the field at the practice I was at.  He was just a horse in those red zone drills and had incredible leg power.

He still can be very good in spots if he can stay healthy, but I think the Packers' believe he's more of a part time player now and don't expect that he can get back to what he was in '13-'14.

I think Eddie envisions himself as a 250# bruiser/ "Bus"-type who could (should?) get 20-25 attempts per game. If an offense is set up to feature that, and the back is capable; fine.
It may help (physical condition) with roughly half those attempts, but I see 2 problems with that...
1. 250 is just too damn heavy for a RB.
2. It's a passing league.
