I don't think they deserve to be there, either.

I think they deserve to be there. They are 5 points away from being 10-5 right now.  They had a couple of other 4 point losses, all those games were winnable right to the end.  Sure they squeaked out a 1 point win and 2 3 point wins, but that is parity in the NFLFU today.

If the Packers lose tonight the last game will determine who resides in the NFC Norris cellar! Something will be on the line!

Good point. If nothing else, they need to defend their home turf next week.

I'm not gonna turn down a playoff spot. I'd love to see them win both games and get in. But if it doesn't happen, there's no real case to say they did or didn't deserve to be there. In the end, you are what your record says you are. I can't ask for more this year than a postseason spot being within reach with two games left.

Counting tonight as a win and using the ESPN playoff Machine, if the Cards beat the Seahawks and the Falcon beat the Saints the Pack can still lose to the Bears and be the 7th seed.   However if the Bears win and the Vikings beat Detoilet the Vikings are the 7th seed.   The 49er/Ram game will no longer affect the Packers.

Herman obviously mean from today forward.  He posted it before the game, after Seattle lost.  The point was we are basically in the playoffs now and our first opponent was MN.  6 wins in a row = Super Bowl championship.  Any loss means we're done.

If and when we beat Chicago, we will have surpassed last season's record and have gotten into the play offs(another thing we did not do, last season.) That is improvement, from a squad full of young players, that hardly anyone expected to happen. The injuries we sustained, in the viking drubbing, will make it difficult to win against the Bears, who are playing pretty good football, right now. All the talk, early on, in this thread,  and elsewhere, about trading Love has me scratching my head. If last night's game did not show anyone that Love is our QB, for the foreseeable future, there's something wrong with them. We have our third real QB, in a row, and teams like the vikings and Bears are quaking in their boots over it.

Love played really good, not great.   He didn’t turn it over and converted some big 3rd downs.  He had guys running wide open all night though.

If we want to be a contender, he can’t be missing throws to wide open guys for walk in TDs.   That happened twice last night.

Accuracy continues to be a concern but the decision making is looking really good.

Are you still drunk from last night?  Dude had 4 TD's. Put up 33 points against the #12 ranked defense.  Had a 125.3 passer rating.  If that's not great, hell, elite even, I don't know what you expect from a QB.

I expect him to throw catchable balls to wide open WRs... with a pass rusher in his lap and while falling backwards.

FTFY, and agreed.

Taking ties out of the equation since they are so rare, there are 3 scenarios that Packers get in the playoffs.
1. Packers win
2. Packers lose, Cardinals win, Lions win, Falcons win
3. Packers lose, Cardinals win, Lions win, Panthers win

Love's nearly 50 yard laser to Reed was a thing of beauty. He's gonna be more Favre than Rodgers. He'll miss some throws and make some amazing darts like that rope to Reed. Probably for his career. His pocket presence and progessions are elite already.

WOW, the playoff possibilities are almost endless with a Packer victory. Could be a 6th seed or 7th seed depending on what happens in 7 other games. Could be in Detroit, Dallas or Philly.  Every NFC game has playoff implications.   I wonder if this has ever happened before?    Only 4 of the AFC games affect the outcome of the seedings.   Should be an exciting yet nerve racking weekend.   Get your popcorn, drinks, chips and other snacks ready.
