I've got one wild hair about yesterdays game. Hyde has to be smarter in the return game in AZ. He handed Washington close to 40 yards in filed position in the first half. I get the wind, conditions, etc. But catching a punt on the 4 with a 30 MPH tail wind? Let that ball go in the end zone Micah.

Do you feel negatively about other lesser groups or individuals???

I"m not going to rehash all the +/-'s everyone has them.  IMO, the plays of the game were the 3 and out by WASH in the 3rd Quarter.  They scored a TD to start the 2nd half off, we countered with a TD.  Then they went 3 and out, and we scored another TD, game over, with the way our D was playing.

I think our D is SB worthy, if we can get 17-20 points in Offense, we could win out. Perry had a great game, CMII, JP, Raji, Neal, Daniels, Guion, Pennel, they all played well.  We have a really good DL rotation, and our secondary should get better if SS comes back.  OLB's, are playing at high level.  Fun to watch

It looks like ARodgers was having fun out there from the 2nd Quarter on. We need to see more of that.  HHCD is a stud at Safety! Neal and Perry played well getting sacks and disrupting the Washington O lIne. Our red zone defense was amazing. Adams had a nice game, again. A nice, overall solid effort from a team that needed one. On to Arizona. The Vikings lost, too making this a perfect weekend for Packers' Fans.

“We kind of felt it was a possibility to go out there again,” Rodgers said. “We won, we scored 35 points. The playoffs bring it out in all of us. It’s a one-and-done mentality.”

The doubters?

“We don’t care about expectations. We don’t care about those opinions. We care about sticking together,” Rodgers said.

Two things stood out to me: Rodgers started relaxing and having fun again, and the way MM managed the clock before halftime. MM's moves there showed he had confidence in the O and they were going to go for it. That had to make Rodgers happy as well.

I think the Packers' D deserves more praise than it gets. They shut down an offense that came in hot and finally got support and it was a blowout. The pass rush was in Cousin's face all day, and while it dropped 3 more interceptions, it was evident he was rattled. Other than a couple runs where the ILBs guessed wrong and didn't stay home, they pushed Washington into favorable (defensively) down and distance. It was a very strong performance.

Of course the offense finally making some hay and Adams elevating his game was huge- and I think/hope Abbrederis earned some additional targets. After Adams got hurt, the offense didn't miss a beat.

Should be fun going forward...

Wondering why WASH couldn't hit DeSean deep. From TV broadcast you'd never know they tried. Au contraire.

@BenFennell_NFL: Pressure by Peppers/sack by Clay was crucial! Coverage was blown, Desean WIDE open... Peppers didn't bite on PA fake.

Quick question about offensive tackle technique. Tretter couldn't handle the bull rush that led to the safety. what did he change to handle it better? or was it scheming away from him with up-tempo, roll outs, etc?

1 effing play!!! So you're sure he wasn't bull-rushed the remainder of the game?

Ryan Kerrigan is a good player. Bulaga shut him down. Several big time performances by #75 this season....and there have been several on this site questioning his re-signing.

bump

On today, 1-2 pm EST.

Only a couple of things bugged me in an otherwise pretty good game in all three phases.

One was the lack of rhythm throws. Every other NFL team has at least a few quick pass routes where the QB throws the ball on time. Way too many Packer pass plays result in AR and the WRs scrambling around trying to make something happen. There has to be better play design to get some quicker, easier short pass plays. Immobile QBs like Brady do it all the time.

The other is summed up by McGinn:

He [AR] continues to miss throws that once were routine. He didn't come close to stepping into the overthrown corner route to Cobb in the third series that should have been a 25-yard gain. Later, Cobb came in motion and ran right by CB Bashaud Breeland, but instead of a 32-yard TD pass Rodgers made an all-arm toss that was three yards too far. Wind was a factor, but he has been missing open receivers like this all season. Even the TD pass to Adams was thrown from a poor base.

When I see an article like this I wish someobody in McGinn's office would just blind side him right off his chair to the office floor.

And then tell him it will happen again when he can't see it coming...but only when he's writing an article.

Now go ahead Mr. McGinn...write your articles...and stay on base....you twat.
