Again - it's not the NFL. You don't get more value with extra players.

The only way a trade makes sense is if the drop a few spots but get one of the consensus top 4 guys. You back out of the top of the draft, and you just set the franchise back and made last years (needed) losing worth nothing for the franchise. Stupid all around.

And Antetokoumpo is going nowhere. He a franchise centerpiece to put with this year's lottery pick. He has everything you need, plus he's still growing. He's Kevin Durant. You don't trade Kevin Durant.
Of course it's premature. It's an opinion. Physically he is very close. If Giannis plays at Texas or some other school where was the centerpiece, the comparison would probably be more accepted.

But to me there's little difference between those two players at the same age. They're both near 7'. They both can handle the ball very well especially for their size. Inside outside game, attack the rim, good vision, decent defender.

I'll give you an excerpt from a draft bio- without cheating, tell me who it is:

quote:
Strengths: Rare company with his his wingspan, mobility, quickness, and leaping ability have few peers â€Ķ Great in transition and on the fast breakâ€Ķ Defensively he has all the physical tools to develop into a exceptional defender â€Ķ Blessed with quick hands, length, lateral quickness and good natural instincts â€Ķ

Durant or Antetokoumpo?

Of course, it's Durant's. The point is you put Antetokoumpo on a college team last year he would have been dominant. That was Durant's freshman year. Now Giannis isn't as advanced offensively because he wasn't trained that way. He learned the Euro game and he hasn't been playing his whole life like Durant. But the raw material is absolutely there. It'll take some time, but if he wants to be great, he can be. It's all there...

Parker does not seem like the type of guy to pull an Elway but it is amusing even if there is a ton of BP oil spill induced smokescreen involved

Ersan is in play for a trade and lots of teams are lining up if Henson is on the block

Man I love this aspect of the NBA.  The subterfuge is off the charts and the NFL could learn a thing or two from this
