+ Defense played well. Rook corners held up. Big game from Cobb and JJ.

- Too many missed tackles. MM clock management last 4:30. Inexcusable. Adams. His effort on the fade to the end zone sealed it for me. Guy looks like he doesn't want to be on the field.

In the end. GB traveled to the west coast twice this year and won them both. Not easy to do. Nasty day for football on a really bad field. GB needed this win and did.

Pos:

Bulaga shutting down Mack.

Cobb has heart, guy plays harder than anyone else on the field.

Another good game from the entire D.  Early run game was worrisome, but they corrected it.

Abby taking advantage of his opps.

Negs:

Worst clock mgt since Tom Caughlin.  Just an embarrassment.

Janis not taking advantage of his opps on offense.

Adams, no hands and no heart.

Randall and Rollins can play.  Great young corners that will only get better

OL neutralized Mack Daddy

Good win against a pesky opponent on the road

Cobb looked like the guy we are used to seeing

- - - -

MM play calling rearing its ugly head - short yardage or trying to salt the game away?  Run the damn ball

I am officially done with Adams and his laziness and failure to execute and Janis needs to stick to STs.   Get  better in the offseason because right now they are killing us

Poor officiating and penalties - ugh

They play like this next week and it will be ugly

Dear Eddie... Your up and down play is killing your team. If you cannot take over games, you aren't the rb for this team. Finish runs for Heaven's sake!!!

Its getting old seeing Rodgers play poorly.

The defense is the heart of this team. They won this game, despite their offense's continued inability to play competently.

And memo to McCarthy- Jered Abbrederis might be the best route runner you have left. Give him a try...

Plus

  • A win.  Still a shot at the 2 seed.  Go Eagles!
  • The reappearance of the Back Shoulder Throw
  • Cooper got his, but the DBs played really well overall, and DL had some pressure late in game.
  • AR hung in there and made some really nice plays in 2H, that one pick aside.

Minus

  • Some very odd decisions like passing at the end there, and especially the FG.  There was little reward in that FG, and tons of risk. Going for it was the right choice, punting would have been a decent alternative.
  • WRs simply cannot get separation.  Still.  It's baffling what has happened, and it's beyond baffling that MM can't implement something to change that.

+10-4

-The constant, unrelenting, predictable, useless negativity displayed by the usual 6-8 losers who quite honestly have nowhere else to bitch because nobody, and I mean nobody (wives, girlfriends, family, friends) would want to sit next to you during games.

There is a reason you people β„’ are  wifeless, girlfriendless and friendless---now you know why.

You're welcome.

It doesn't help that I don't shower regularly and roll in my own feces.  I've got the full Howard Hughes effect working for me.

Hmmm....gotta think about these

Cobb showing some "stuff"

Jones makes key grabs

Minus

This team has more wrong with it than just the play-caller

Janis...the guy stands like a statue at the pylon when he had the whole EZ corner clear so he could get open.  Then he lets the two DB get in front of him to get the INT.

Adams...should be gone next year:  The guy looks like a rookie; cant run routes or shake DBs and cant make the big grabs.  Extreme disappointment.  That long pass he completely misjudged the ball's flight.  Then he lets another zip through his hands.

Lacy laid some eggs

Starks fumble

Defense: Missed tackles

Listening to MM vs AR's post-game presser was quite the stark difference. If you hadn't watched the game or knew the score, with Rodger's presser you would have sworn they lost. He sounded dejected, was curt and short in his responses, refused to answer at least 2 of them. He really sounds like an employee who's grown sick of his job and his boss.

MM on the other hand said he was "sick and tired" of the negative questions being asked of him. Said his team is right where they want to be. They are 10-4 and should be proud of that. Was complimentary of AR, Bulaga, the defense etc.

Just a complete night and day of where the franchise QB is and his HC.

Pawsitive: win

Pawsitive: Cobb effective in backfield. Nice dimension that McCarthy could evolve as post season approaches.

Negative: reading through the game thread, I don't understand why some posters even watch. Moan, bitch, complain, rant, etc.

Out of all major sports leagues (including the WNBA), the nfl can change the fastest. Pack could be barely skating by these last two and then next week get into a groove that carries them a ways. Who knows?

Hey, think kc thought they would be 9-5 after starting 1-5?

we won without our #1 corner on the road, rookie cb's were ok, got burned but made some plays...33 was not in base coverages.

Offense did roll for a bit, but wasn't the kind of December push you would want

84 did ok for himself, 47 missed a few tackles, but is not shades of AJ Hawk and I like him

Janis returning?

-

big plays against defense

Janis miscues - I don't know what's up with this guy.

run offense, 27 didn't have one lane all day, but 44 did, so not sure if it goes to 27 or to the OL

=

a win is a win, specially in Dec, not sure what to make of this team, they win, but maybe they are holding back - I just get the feeling they are trying to squeak in and open it up in the playoffs.  Not sure I buy that mentality, but I can hope right?

AR must not be wearing the same rose colored glasses some of you guys seem to have on.

He's been more forthcoming...historically.

Gay too

It's really an odd year.  New England and Carolina and Cincinnati and AZ have really good records but I am not sure they are the best teams.

Personally, if you are in the AFC I would not want to face KC or Pittsburgh and I don't think anyone wants to play Seattle in the NFC.

Then there are teams like the Packers and Vikings and Jets and Broncos.   Relatively speaking, pretty good teams (records) but not exactly consistent.  For GB, maybe this is what they are but I still think they are still better than they have shown.

+ defense held up after getting shredded by Murray and Cooper early

+ Janis on special teams

+ busted coverage TD that changed the game

+ Jones can't get open but he still made some big catches

- passing game was dreadful again

- clock management and late game decision making was brutal. What good does that 50 yard field goal do there?

- what's worse?  Adams or the fact that Rodgers continues to throw to him?  The Adams pick looks even worse when you consider who was drafted behind him (Robinson, Landry, Moncrief, John Brown, Martavis Bryant)

-  I think they set a season high today with 3 wasted timeouts due to play clock issues

Ok, I'm gonna start it.  Trade 12 and let the Hundley era begin.
