Rodgers, just doesn't seem quite on. Only listed as a negative because of his ridiculous play so far in his career.

The insistence of NFL Network to play those Top 5 Plays of the week over and over and over and over and...

Aaron is a little off, but I think a lot of that has been the defenses we've been playing really pressuring him. And the interception tonight was on James Jones. He broke off of his route, then didn't come back to the ball.

We didn't have Jennings tonight. Aaron will be fine.

Arguably the best defense in football in week 1 and in week 2 a defense eerily similar who knows the Packers perhaps the best of any team aside from themselves.

To score 23 against the Bears and win by 13

The "offense" really scored 16, not 23. And they didn't have much of a problem vs. the CHI defense last year. We're talking about he second highest scoring offense in the history of the NFL. Nobody is panicing, it's just a bit disturbing to see it two weeks in a row, even giving them a mulligan vs. SF.
Webb may have held 27 times tonight.

Cutlers presser after the game was one for the ages. He threw the bus under the bus.

Clay
Tramon. Cutler wished him good luck. F**k you Cutler.
Worthy. Starting for Wilson. pretty good showing.
Capers. Bringing DJ Smith up the middle on the opening play and never took his foot off the gas.
DD. That was sweet to watch.
Hawk. The guy made some plays in the backfield. Sniffing out the screen early was nice. He almost picked it off.
Defense got called out by Chicago and responded.
ST / Slocum. Great game. Gutsy call. Barclay with the road paving blocks.

did Perry get pulled for a few snaps/series ?

Wes Hodkiewicz: GBsticker: Perry played the first series and Walden pretty much took the left OLB spot the rest of the first half. It was a committee in the second half with Moses even seeing some action there.

Have to remember Walden has had pretty good games against the Bears in the past. And tonight, despite the rust, he did well. He and Matthews teamed up for a sack And Walden's knock down of Cutler was directly responsible for Woody's INT. Walden had a pretty decent game.

Capers/MM. Weren't afraid to make some adjustments, and the team responded well.
Defensive effort. The breakdowns were minimal, and the veterans once again show what hard work and smart study can accomplish.
CM3. What a madman! He has taken names and kicked ass in these 2 games.
TWill. Shut Marshall down. Period.
Worthy. A very solid effort in his first start. Attaboy, rookie!
Hayward. Not sure about the start; otherwise, ditto above comments.
Walden. Played well and provided some needed pressure for the pass rush.
I'll give Hawk a shoutout for his play on the screen attempt. As matter of fact, I thought the OL that was holding him could be called for PI because Hawk was as close to the ball as their receiver was.
Cobb. Two words: Thanks, Ted!
DD. The old man can still show 'em how it's done!
Benson is improving, and I can't ask for more than that at this point. His catches out of the backfield looked good!
Crosby is kicking well, and kept Hester in check.
Masthay is nastay! Still punting very well, and his play on the fake was a thing of beauty. I thought Crosby sold out a little quick, but Masthay flipped it to Crabby before anyone knew what was happening. Perfect timing and placement.
Tip o' the cap to the call, as well. Good coaching all around on that play, and it showed in the execution.

Hate to nitpick, but...
OL still having issues and ARod is getting hit way too much. Not impressed with Saturday thus far. Run blocking needs improvement, obviously, but pass protection is the bigger worry for now.
Finley. Some of the other INCs weren't great throws by ARod, but Finley's drop was the most catchable. By far. He should be able to make catches in his sleep.
Offense is still a bit anemic. I think we're sustaining more drives, but still too many 3rd down failures.
Smith. Not quite ready for prime time, at least in pass coverage. It may be a necessary growing pain, and he may not have the speed to ever be a great coverage LBer, but he's a liability right now.
Rush defense. Much improved, but still giving up way too many 5+ yard runs. DL still having trouble containing the edge.
I mentioned coverage breakdowns were minimal, but we're still lucky that both teams we've faced have missed some wide-open opportunities.
Paws

+ Pack special teams DOMINATES Bears teams in all phases? Bizarro world#
+ "Yeah, I dream about throwing 4 picks and getting sacked 7 times" - Vajajay
+ "It's the same old Jay. We just need to be in position. Jay will throw us the ball" - Charles Woodson
+ Defense... all around.. Great performance

Negs

- Nick Perry being replaced by Walden. Walden played great, just wish it was Perry.
- drops.. J-Mouth in particular stands out because, well, I hate his attitude.

Notes

* Rodgers isn't close to last years performance level. Good things to come.
* Capers made up for last weeks nightmare..
++

CMIII was in beast mode- wow
Tramon played unbelievable and owned Marshall
Crosby was money
DJ Smith blitzing and stopping the run
Loved the fake FG play
1-1 vs 0-2

--

Run D still a little shaky
DJ Smith in coverage- ugh
Finley looked like Tarzan and played like Jane
James Jones had his typical game (i.e. crappy) against the Bears
11 days until the next game
+++++
Defensive rookies
Masthay and STs (who would have thought we'd ever be saying this about Slocum's units?)
Coaching
Benson

---
Arod being off. Never thought I'd see him publicly call out a guy like he did last night. Jones deserved it, but the way Arod handled it reminded me of another guy who used to play in GB.

Only really odd thing I can think of is, Where was Cobb? After last week I thought he'd be on the field more. Overall, GB was awesome.

Me. I picked the Bears to win.

Big gap

3rd and short for the offense remains such a struggle. Why?
Defense was awesome, but the run defense still is not.
Offense has a ways to go, but better to start out slow and get better than vice versa. O-line specifically . . . meh
Finley: such a waste of talent. Time to give Williams more snaps, me thinks.
A win over the Bears is ALWAYS a pos, regardless of anything else

+

MM: gave the ball to Benson 20 times . . . stuck with the run . . . good job
Benson: he is tough when he gets going north and south
Defensive rooks: Worthy, Daniels, Heyward, McMillan . . . the kids can play
Defensive intensity: would be nice to see on a weekly basis
Masthay and Crosby are two of the MVPs on this team.
Tramon Williams is back
Special teams execution was outstanding. Gutsy, gutst call on the fake FG
+
The usual: Beast, Tramon, ST, DD....the entire defense deserves a big +++

Watching the same old Cutler especially after watching the NFL Network pregame morans go on about how they believe in Jay because he finally has the weapons around him. "Good luck!"

There were at least a few plays where previous Packers RBs would have been tackled for a loss, yet Benson found a hole and gained yards (not counting the 3rd and 1s). Very nice to see.

The fake field goal: perfectly executed! Watching it live (on tv) I thought the Bears were going to blow it up for a loss. A second later Crabtree was running into the endzone.

--

Finley: Can't block, can't catch, can't hold onto the ball on the rare occasion that he does catch it.

The bad route by James Jones. I don't fault him for the endzone INC though. Rodgers needs to throw a better ball.

Why does it take the refs five seconds to blow the whistle when Rodgers tries to call a timeout?

3rd and 1.

The entire offense doesn't seem to be hitting on all cylinders, but like others have said, they've played a couple of pretty good defenses. Probably going to hear more "blueprint" hot air this week.
+
Defense (168 total yards)
Matthews - 6 sacks, 2 games
Woodson: "We don't need luck. We just need the same 'ole Jay. Jay will throw us the ball."
Benson
Sitton - allowed 1 hurry and no sacks on 68 snaps, while also mauling people in the run game, far and away our best o linemen
Tramon Williams
Jerron McMillian - quietly had a solid game, excellent against the run, much more consistent than MD jennings

-
Offensive line - 5 or 6 sacks
Drops - Jordy, Finley
Rodgers/Receivers - missed a few throws they normally don't miss, INT to Jones looked like Jones ran the wrong route

I know everyone was probably wondering where I was all game. I was at a local bar watching the game. Outnumbered 10-1 by Bears fans. It was glorious.
