Rodgers was upset no question, but it was the announcer giving the reason, not Rodgers. I wouldn't characterize it as Rodgers "calling out" Jones. He was just pissed.

Don't know if it was related, but Rodgers did not seem happy with himself in the post-game interview (on the field). The passing game is just off. Not by much, but it is off, and it is no doubt frustrating him.

IIRC, Rodgers said " I gave them a short field". He sure didn't throw Jones under the bus.

Michael Irvin later said he'd like to see Cutler, just once, take some responsibility for a turnover. I immediately thought of Rodgers taking responsibility when he didn't need to.

Bubbleboy,I'm in Dubuque & wondered where in Iowa you are. Here (as far as I can tell) its bears fans, then PACKER fan ,vikes fans.

I'm in Iowa City. It's cheaper for kids from Illinois to come to school here at Iowa than it is for them to go to Champaign. So the Bears fans far and a way outnumber anyone else.

Dum. He had as many drops as Jordy and Jones last night and the fumble was a perfect play by Tillman. He also made a couple of nice blocks down, allowing offensive linemen to pull and open lanes. Finley may not ingratiate himself to fans very well, but he's a mismatch and makes plays too. There's a reason he got a very nice, two-year contract.

We are now in year five of "The Takover" and Finley has yet to play consistent football. How many more years is it going to take?

Jones has also struggled with consistency, but he's the fourth best receiver on the team.

Jordy had one less TD last year than Finley has had his entire career. His occasional drop is forgivable.

In fairness to that other QB, I thought he was 10 times the player than Cutler has ever been.

Agreed. Rich Campbell has always gotten a bad rap at X4 but the guy was better than Cutler by far.

Oh, I agree also with the above, but it doesn't change the fact people used to say the very same thing about our former QB. They always thought that there would be 4-5 opportunities per game for INT's from poor decisions.
+ Clay
+ Hawk
+ secondary
+ defense as a whole
+ Running Game

- O-line on pass blocking
- Receivers (too many drops)

For me the biggest plus is this may be the most significant game I have ever seen that apparently dispelled uncertainties I was carrying after the SF game (and going back to late last season).

My concerns?

Pass rush. Secondary. Running.

EVERY concern was tempered seriously in the biggest way. On field testimony. EVERY ONE!!!

I need to settle down with the saying that one never is as bad as one thinks he is nor as good.

But, EVERY negative thing was challenged in a huge way last night.

One.

It really isn't his 5th year. Rookie years don't count, and he missed almost all of 2010 with the injury.

I think TT played it just right with the 2-year deal.

Agreed. At least Finley was smart enough not to demand top TE money.
I watched the game again today. Clay is wired differently than most. That was an epic "Guy's, I've got this, we're not losing this f*****g game, try and keep up" performance.

He should be paid like the games best. But he's not in this for the money. You don't go like he does for the contract. He wants to beat people and win. He's a rare kind of player.

actually the tristates are fairly evenly split. The are lots of bandwagon fans that change colors when one team gets hot. With the queens sucking it is pretty low key with them, until the refs screw them playing the pack Roll Eyes

Fortunately Packer fan hell is good today!

I hope this statement is still true after next season.

Do not let him leave Green Bay. Like I said, he should be paid like the games best. He's worth it. He'll outplay his contract because that's how he's wired.

Yup, whatever it takes, including letting Jennings walk to free up the cash.

We had discussions in the offseason about prioritizing the upcoming FA's.

Lang
Jennings
Clay
Raji.

TT went with Lang first.. Could be timing, could be he was willing to sign on the cheap, could be he protects the franchise, probably all of the above. Next up, the most important player on the other side of the ball.
