Wilde had an interview with him today, he says it's his last year in Green Bay. The way he's playing, good luck getting a big contract. He's out of it right now.

Actually, now that I've read the article, the guy sounds like a bigger azzclown than I thought.

"Whether we’re losing by 60 points, you’ve got to go out there and perform. This is my biggest interview of my career. So I’ve got to perform, regardless of what the record says.”

First, when has he performed?  I think many many folks here and in the media have noticed his disappearing act over the last two years.  Second, he seems to hold himself above his team, making several references to a mediocre record and acting as if he is far above that.

I don't have a problem with that statement.   It's true.   Why do we want to kid ourselves and pretend like he is playing football in Green Bay because he has a unparalleled love for the city or state.  He, and almost everyone else in the NFL, plays because they get paid and like to compete at the game.

if he wants to continue to get paid for playing, he needs to perform well this year.   Thus this season is his interview.

He's right; this is his interview season. But he's certainly not acting like it. Most guys knowing they want out and are in the last year of their contract play big-time in order to cash in on their second contract. Either Dix is far wealthier than we know, or he just doesn't give a rip how much money he gets as long as he gets out of GB.
