The fact that Andrews was so dominant was a blessing on that 2 pt play as Brown was WIDE OPEN.
Negatives - I felt like 2/3 of the team was absolutely pathetic today. The Defensive Front 7 was horrible vs. the Ravens mostly 2nd string O-Line. Savage was horrible. Joe Barry's worst coaching performance since the first 6 quarters of the season, they looked unprepared for Huntley and played tentative and scared in the 4th quarter. Special Teams once again was a disaster. I thought Lazard could have played the ball better on that end zone pass he missed that the announcers blamed on Rodgers. I think a better receiver could have caught that one.
Positives: RBs ran hard. MVS looked solid. Rodgers looked fantastic when he had any time at all to throw. Deguara looks like a decent weapon when you need someone to help move the chains.
As others pointed out, Kenny Clark is absolutely irreplaceable. He makes the mediocre guys around him on the D-Line look better than they are.
It was a win today, but boy, a lot of guys should be giving their paychecks to Rodgers and a few others that carried the Pack to this win. Really piss poor effort out there by many. Let's hope some guys get healthy to give this team a shot in the arm going into the playoffs. No way this team even wins a game in the playoffs if they play as poorly as they did today on Special Teams and Defense.
I think Brown was so wide open because Savage took off at the snap and completely vacated his responsibility in the zone defense. He sprinted over to Andrews because he guessed correctly (but still managed to mostly miss the ball). If Huntley comes off his first read it's a free 2 points.
Here's the alignment at the snap (top panel - Savage is aligned on the "E" in the end zone) and about two seconds after the snap. Brown is wide open right where Savage is supposed to be and Savage is in a full sprint (far right) to get over to Andrews.

Everybody in the free world knew where that ball was going during that whole drive and on the 2pt try.
If only he had someone to throw to not named Adams.
Consistently.
Offensively I am really excited about what theyâre doing- but the red zone stuff is getting a little troubling. They had a chance for the kill shot and damn near paid for not punching that in.
STs is a fireable offense now. They need to dump this whole thing tomorrow and just bare bones everything. Complete utter catastrophe.

Putting Aaron Jones back on kickoff returns in the 4th was a key adjustment as was having Adams and Dillon on the hands team for the onside kick.
And I think those changes came directly from MLF, not Drayton.
STs are just plain laughable. MLF has got to do something about it now. You can't let that level of boneheaded, stupidity, ineptness, incompetence continue.
Why is Amari Rodgers even active? They had Sullivan back to fair catch a punt and Aaron Jones back on kickoff returns. I don't think Amari played from scrimmage today either (they played Malik Taylor and Winfree over him).
Gutey didn't have many misses this past offseason, but trading up higher into the third round to get Amari was one of the few.
Iâm not ready to say that.. itâs just clear that he isnât a punt returner.

On AmRodgers, I have to agree. His confidence may be shot or maybe he was overdrafted. Gutie liked him but I thought that he was just an above average player on a good team. I donât understand why the team did not focus on getting a good returner in the off season.
Thinking the expectations may have been a bit too much for Rodgers as a WR/returner. He's a rookie, hopefully he provides something down the road.
Positives - The win, the division title, no apparent injuries and hopefully Rodgers didn't aggravate the toe much. He seemed to be moving around well the entire game.
Negatives - Defense had their rough moments. Of course everyone but our resident dipshit knows that the defense all starts with KC. Get him back Dec 25th and the defense is so much better. Add in Jaire at some point and this top 10 defense is pushing top 5 status.
But ST's, there's just no answer. That look that MLF shot at Drayton after the delay of game on the punt. That guy is cooked. He will probably survive the season but he's getting the ABM treatment now. MLF is going to micromanage the shit out of him until the post season is over. Then he gone!
Check out our chances now on 538 NFL
I'll check them out when Mayo is holding the Lombardi.
Somebody said I had a small dick. I still haven't recovered from the invasion of my personal space.
I know the feeling.
â not being able to watch the game because we were driving thru mountains in a blizzard all day.
+ finding out we won and are NFCN champions
+ not having to watch special teams and worry that Iâd have a heart attack!
Negs: I've never seen a Special Teams like this. It's almost like a bad movie where Emilio Estevez is the coach.
Pos: Our last two quarterbacks have 884 touchdown passes.

Packers lose the game and that's all we're talking about. Offense also had another chance to close it out and could only muster an ugly three and out.
Rough game for Savage but give him credit on the conversion attempt for getting just enough of the ball. Defense did a much better job with Andrews in the second half and the biggest issue they had was a failure to keep contain.

I put my green and gold glasses on, but, give him credit on the conversion attempt for getting just enough of the ball? Give credit to Huntley for throwing that ball so far behind Andrews where, if you squint hard enough, you can see Savage got a piece of it. Looked to me like the tip actually gave Andrews a better shot at the ball.
I said somewhere around here they were going to struggle. BAL is a tough, proud, well coached team playing at home. I expect the final 3 games to be be tough as well, which is a bigger plus if they can win out or 2/3 because it will give them momentum heading into the playoffs.
Offense is still a bit erratic but getting 69 back would stabilize it a lot. Hopefully that happens in the next couple weeks. Is there any hope at all for Meyers? One series they go 3 and out after losing yardage on poorly blocked runs and the next they're ripping off big play after big play.
D should return to form with KC back in the middle and Jaire would be a big boost in the secondary. And they need to stay healthy.
The interfering with the returner penalty looked like a guy that never learned ST fundamentals. Any kid on a playground knows you can't do that and this guy has absolutely zero excuse. Wasn't blocked into him, wasn't tracking the ball...??? There is no exception in any situation where he can touch the returner before the ball gets there unless the ball is touched on it's way there. Did he think the guy had caught the ball? Really hard to understand that.

It wasn't a good throw anyway and may well have not been completed even without Savage tipping it. That replay shows the ball hitting Stokes in the chest and your claim that the tip made the ball more catchable is absurd.
It was just another case of the idiocy that is special teams.
It was a bad pass and a bad play call. Thatâs all there is too it.
+++Packers win. Detroit beats AZ and NO shuts out Brady and the Bucs!
MVS came to play. BIG DOG, too! Stokes played a solid game.
----STs, again! Clock management at the end of our possession before the Ravens scored. Now, we cannot cover a TE or a mobile QB? Savage.
Priceless: watching Brady pout while being shut out by NO.

Agree. Hundley looked like he wanted to be sure it was in Andrews' range so he was cautious. Instead of throwing it outside, he tried to hit Andrews' body and ended up tossing it way behind him. I'm not sure Savage got anything as it was a wobbly pass to start; I didn't see it change flight much and if it had, at the rate Savage was coming he might have pushed it forward and into Andrews' range. If Hundley puts that in a better spot, AR would have had to work magic again.

Thought that same thing. Hell thatâs high school special teams. Pouring salt into the wound to watch Rizzo coaching Saints special teams last night.
I am not ready to throw Amari out in the cold- a career is not your rookie season, but GB could sure use a 2019Tyler Ervin! Like everyone else I am waiting with bated breath to get DBak Jaire and Turner but I think Z Smith may prove to be the gift that really gives GB a Super Bowl. As well as GB has played since Mercilus went down the depth of the pass rush group has been exposed.
I also wonder if GB will risk Jaire in the slot with that shoulder and I don't know if any of the other corners would make a better choice than Sullivan but some improvement in that area would be big.
