Pluses:

Greg Jennings class act all the way, didn't make it all about himself. Made sure that every player on both teams was more involved in the game than him. That humility.

Neggie negs:

Rodgers. All about him. I think I caught glimpse of him using the brainwashing device on some of the new receivers. It's really ridiculous and Goodell needs to look into this, and I know he will because he is the best commissioner in NFL history.

The Good

-pretty much every facet of the game:

the dominated TOP,

dominated running the ball,

dominated passing the ball,

kick returns were very good (Hyde with a TD),

Crosby flawless,

dominated third and fourth downs,

no punts,

played pretty fairly well against AP.

The Bad

-ST coverage was pretty bad

-hated the fourth quarter "it's a blowout" defense

-The 3 down 15 yard penalty by Datone and the PI by Tramon in the 4th quarter

The Ugly

-purple on purple uniforms

-some of the tackling on AP

Aaron Rodgers

Eddie Lacy

James Starks

Defense in the first 3 quarters

Micah Hyde

The opening kickoff, and a few more garbage efforts on coverage

More garbage touchdowns, some of the easiest garbage TDs I've ever seen

Mostly positives, only two negatives.

1. Why defer when the Vikings are one of the healthiest teams in the league (not many changes on Special Teams), most explosive guys are return men with Peterson slightly hampered and Packers scraping for Special Teams coverage guys? Take the ball, drive it down their throats and take the crowd out of it and don't give a bad team life.

2. The two garbage TDs made it look closer than it was.

I think Starks and Lacy combined make for a new level of the phrase 1-2 PUNCH.

I wish that we would stop giving up garbage points, but to be honest, I see the other players in there, I see them playing fairly generic.  I really don't have a problem with that.

This wasn't a statement win.  But, it's a win that the national pontificators have to acknowledge.

++

Bacteria. Allen was Casper tonight.

Lacy

Starks

AR taking the ball and showing Jennings what he's missing

Young WRs. Not a whole lot of catches, but they did well.

Prevent defense sucks in 4th quarter. Why give them hope at all? Continue stomping on them!

Letting Ponder run up the gut for a TD. Daniels way out of his lane on that one.

PIs on Tramon (the new Woodson in that regard)

Overall, we win but should have won bigger. I guess I'll never be happy until we get another Lombardi trophy.

NO ONE that we know of currently got hurt. Sweet Jeebus that has to be a 1st.

Gerg Jennings. 1 catch. 9 yards.

Ref's suck. Again.

AR took too many hits for my comfort.

Does Ted drink anything more interesting then bottled water?

Longer than I was hoping it would be. He'll probably miss at least 1-2 more after he gets the pins taken out. Damnit. Oh well, Perry, James Jones and Brad Jones will all probably be back by then.

F all the talk about Peyton or Brees or whoever else is the flavor of the week.  Aaron Rodgers is the best player in the league hands down and the leading candidate for MVP. What I see different in his play this season is more patience.  More short throws and taking what the defense gives you, fewer low percentage bombs.  He has really stepped up his play when the team needed him to.

Keep this up and when the walking wounded return, we're gonna see a steamroller.

(+)

- Rodgers is in a zone right now.

- Lacy, Starks, run game

- Hyde

(-)

- Kickoff coverage.

- Penalties

- Pass rush

- Prevent defense. I mean, I get what your trying to do and everything but it's not working. The point is to not allow teams to score quickly and that's exactly what ends up happening.

They looked awesome though. No injuries, easy win. They needed a game like this.
