Jenn Sterger wouldn't even call him...why would MM?

Pos.

Lacy is the real deal.

50-53 players have only played for Green Bay (Kuhn, Pickett, Wallace)

Neg.

Ginger is getting stiff. 0 Punts. I'm concerned he'll get injured

Jennings long conversation/hug (uncomfortable) with Rodgers

Boris, I agree. I found that 50/53 stat was remarkable considering the closest team has 40. Draft by TT; coaching staff by MM. Great combination.

I also thought AR looked like he wanted to bail on that conversation very shortly after it started. Rodgers didn't say hardly two words, but Jennings wouldn't let him go.

The biggest plus in this game was the Packers grin and pound run game. Keeping Peterson on the sideline helped, but keeping  the Packers Defense off the field was even a bigger plus.

All those Packers injured Linebackers really hurt the special team but not  having them just kills the defense by the fourth quarter.  The Packers LB all looked gassed by the middle of the fourth. No rotation for those guys.

Don't look now, but that OL is starting to gel and look pretty damn good.  Another 182 on the ground tonight and 2 sacks for a total of 3 yards.  One of those was clearly a coverage sack, and once again that's a decent DL.

If this OL keeps it up, think of how good the offense will be in a few weeks when they're not trotting out their JV's outside.

+ Kicking the queens arses all over the field.

No injuries of note

Gerg 1 catch for 9 yards

- should have won by a bigger margin, but we still beat the spread.

Note: after the game AR12 was asked about the gerg conversation, where gerg did most of the talking , in what seemed to be an uncomfortable situation. AR said he would not divulge specifics on what Gerg said, but did say its all good now, or something to that effect.

I saw that part were Jennings was talking to Rodger. He grabbed him around he head,  Rodger could not get away from him if he wanted too. Rodgers handled the question about what Jennings said perfectly, committing on anything Jennings said is a no win situation for him.

I hope the O continues what it's doing once they get Cobb and Jones back. The O has looked much better of late, especially at having some sustained drives. Earlier we'd see a 2 minute TD drive followed by some quick 3 and outs that take off barely a minute. With losing Cobb, Jones and Finley, they have shifted the O up a bit and aren't constantly going for the big play but rather settling for the underneath stuff and just moving the chains and eating up more clock as they go along. Having the ball for over 40 minutes was huge since it kept AP on the bench for most of the game

GB going 90 yards in 14 plays to tie it up at 7 after Corduroy's KO return had a very strong "2010 Atlanta in the playoffs" feel to it. You could tell AR was looking to rip Minny to shreds tonight. 5 incompletions tonight and I think 3 of them were throw aways.

Positives:

Aaron Rodgers. I could be playing wide receiver for the Packers, and he'd still put up 250 yards and a few TD. He makes everybody better. He makes impossible throws. I don't care what Peyton Manning or Drew Brees are doing. Rodgers is the NFL MVP this season. Two starting offensive tackles out. Two of his best three receivers out. #1 tight end out. AR-12 just doesn't care. He will beat you.

The youngsters. Boykin and White with some really nice plays. Quarless contributed. Bakhtiara shut out the redneck. Hyde took it to the house. Eddie Lacy is the shiznit. He is so much fun to watch. Knowing that we can just feed him the ball, spelling him with Starks and Franklin...fresh legs. Awesome!

Reading Vikings fans online gushing about Toby Gerhart, and how the Vikes need to get him the ball more. I actually guffawed.

AR-12 is clearly Goldie's #1 boyfriend (again) after this week.

Just read that Derek Sherrod is practicing, and could be ready to contribute soon. Clay targeting November 10th. James Jones will be back soon. We are getting healthy, and soon the rest of the NFL can eat it!

Negatives.

Zebras. FU.

109 yard opening kickoff for a TD. Guh.

Garbage time scoring by the Vikes. Green Bay defenses cannot allow any more of this. I want the Vikings to be completely humiliated on the scoreboard, as well.

I really hope they were just gassed and not checked out mentally due to having a good lead. Those two garbage TDs looked extremely easy.

The running game is huge. Not only does it open up the offensive playbook, and make the time of possession lopsided, it gives the defense a much needed rest. We had some really good pressure on Ponder tonight. Lattimore and Mike Daniels were all around the qb. Jones, too.

I'm getting really excited where this season is headed. ROTT strikes again.

The Packers not only managed to come out of the game injury-free, they got Starks back in the mix for the first time since he suffered a knee injury Sept. 22 at Cincinnati, saw second-year cornerback Casey Hayward (hamstring) make his season debut and are now on the verge of getting back a pair of key players – one on each side of the ball.

Outside linebacker Clay Matthews told ESPN.com’s Rob Demovsky that he will have the pins removed from his thumb next Monday, the same day the Packers play the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. While Matthews will obviously miss that game, he could be back the following week, against Philadelphia on Nov. 10

“A normal break is about 4 to 6 weeks, so we’d obviously be on the shorter end at four weeks,” Matthews said. “I’m hoping for the best. It was a unique break, but I’m praying for the best when they take (the pins) out. It could be as early as Philadelphia. It could be as late as Thanksgiving. Hopefully there’s nothing unforeseen when they do that.”

And wide receiver James Jones, who missed his second straight game with a knee injury, said he expects to play next Monday night against Chicago.

“That’s the plan, man,” Jones said. “We want to try. I’ve been working hard every day in that training room, I’m tired of laying on that table, man. We’ll see. I hope so.”

Starks said the time he missed was due to a partially torn medial collateral ligament in his knee.

++++

+Dominant, physical running game.  Wow

+The "replacements" (Lattimore, Boykin, Mulumba, Hyde) continue to step up.  ROTTT!

+Rodgers was ridiculous as usual

+No turnovers

+No major injuries of note

+Road win against divisional opponent

-------

-Hated to see the KO return to begin the game

-Stoopid officiating to end the 1st half

-Garbage time stats by MN

-The Vikes didn't fire Frazier after the game

My guess would be it's the latter. Defense needs to do a better job of maintaining their focus and intensity even in garbage time.

At first I thought the defense had just checked out.  But the LB the Packers did have must of had a very busy night between playing special teams and defense. Either the LB's just check out, were gassed, or are just not very good, given the little I know the option I prefer they were just gassed.

That's a negative?!?!

I have another negative....

Micah Hyde nearly tripping over the turf-monster before scoring because he was showboating.

Get in the endzone bro. Then you can celebrate all you want.

Positives:

*I really like the way McCarthy/Rodgers stick with these young players and don't let them get down. McCarthy is patient and continues to give them opportunities and when they finally get that big play then their confidence skyrockets. It would have been really easy for McCarthy/Rodgers to get down on Myles White after that horrible drop. White was obviously disappointed and his body language showed it, but they gave him another opportunity later and he came up big. Same thing has been happening with Boykin and it happened with Lacy, Franklin, Hyde, etc. Part of it is that they simply don't have the luxury of sitting guys right now, but it's been good to see the team show faith in a young player and get rewarded.

Negatives:

*Didn't like the tackling. Peterson is a hard guy to tackle, but the D wasn't physical at all against the run.

Both PI calls on Tramon were a joke. The one before the half when he was on Jennings he barely touched GJs waist and the official first signaled incomplete pass... then I'm guessing the buzzer in his pocket went off so he knew he had to throw the flag. The one on the Vikes last TD was on 4th and 4 (IIRC) and Ponder just chucks it as far as he could, it was over the WRs head and uncatchable... very questionable to throw the flag there.
