Read where there were only 27 waiver claims last year after final cut-downs so most of the released players will be available to their teams.

I would have to think Caleb Jones, Tyler Goodson, Jack Heflin would be top priorities to bring back and Heflin and Goodson at some point may even see regular season action.

That rookie kicker looked good too and Crosby is not getting any younger.

Would love to see us develop Ahmed...kid kicked in Reno...he is used to snow. K/P are the hardest guys to draft and develop...they bust way more than they hit. So to get a 27 year old who has come up the hard way is way more appealing to me than spending a 5th rounder on the "best college kicker," who in all likelihood will be a bust.

Definitely good news.

"...also signed OLB Kobe Jones and ILB Ray Wilborn to their practice squad. Both were at practice today. But no sign of Juwann Winfree yet"

Was wondering about Abernathy.

from Wilde

Juwann Winfree’s agent, Mike McCartney, announced via Twitter Wednesday evening his client had signed on to return to the Packers, but only after apparently considering other opportunities.

So if Abernathy signs that fills the practice squad for now.

I really want to get Abernathy on the PS. But since we signed Ford, doesn’t that mean 1 person will have to be cut and possibly signed to the PS? Please enlighten me, Mr. Wizard.
