So all those people who support the NSA and the War on Drugs can leave because neither of those is what the country stands for?
Gonna be a pretty empty country.

Just for clarification, which piece of **** are we talking about again? There's so many to choose from.
BTW, I'm not going anywhere. I was here first. I have the glass baubles and smallpox riddled blankets to prove it.
Lambeau Lobo posted:Can we stop celebrating Kap as a legitimate civil rights leader? He's a hypocrite, not a hero. One day he's protesting civil rights injustices, the next he's got a Castro shirt on and doesn't vote in the election. Those facts, as well as others (e.g., the pig socks), demonstrate that he doesn't fully appreciate the issues or the importance of effective leadership and messaging. He's not fit to carry the torch.
He's just a kid who didn't know how to handle his changing beliefs in a spotlight. He's not Ali. He's not a great civil rights leader. Still that doesn't make him wrong or deserving of the absurd demonization. He wore some socks and a shirt and sat during the Anthem. He's a dumbass at worst. If our institutions are so absurdly sacred that they can't withstand the brazen attack of a dumb 20 something athlete then WTF are any of us doing here?
It also doesn't change another fact. NFL owners/GMs are cowards and hypocrites. If there is one thing that is crystal clear about this situation, it would be this.
If he hadn't backed up his talk with action then I would say he was just being an attention whore. Maybe he was, but he didn't hurt anything. In fact only good things have come from his protest...he forked over a million $ total in donations to charities. Doesn't mean he's not an a$$hole, but there are worse guys in the NFL.
MUCH worse guys.

Let's see. He demonized our police, defended Fidel Castro, hates white people - like the ones who raised him...but believes in what? Someone explain this. Our police are the fabric. Fidel is (was) a freaking murderous devil. This guy is a moron, and ya'll are fools for falling for him.
He obviously got poor mentoring.

The police are the fabric of this great country? So, this is a police state?
This is America.....we have the right to be stupid and wrong.
And God knows you're both all the time.
"If you don't like what the country stands for, leave." is nihilistic and cowardice bs.
If you love your country but don't like what it stands for, do something about it to change what it stands for.

It seems so quaint when you say it that way. I always get excited to see Barney Fife rolling through Mayberry in a personnel carrier.
Police Academy was NOT based on a true story.

I practice this freedom daily.
I'm assuming most here know x4 is an outlier in the world of NFL fandom.
Wait, what? We're the mainstream fans, I read it on the intarwebs.
In fact, I read it on this very site.
Irrefutable!
Quit being so snowflakey. FAKE internewz!

It wasn't? thanks for crushing my last 30 years of hope.

Dude went Rodney King on me back in the 70's. I bet you white folks see him as nothing but a lovable, small town cop. Kaepernick knows better.
You were asking for it when you tried to dance with Thelma Lou.

Right. Let's remove the police and see what happens.
Let's remove truck drivers and see what happens.
Let's remove the farmers and really see what happens.
Lets remove all the Dunkin Donuts and see what happens.
Let's remove all the teachers. Let's remove all the doctors. Let's remove all the sanitation workers. Let's remove all the Vikings.
Errr, that last one...never mind.
Lets remove #12 and see what happens.
Let's not, please.

I'm guessing others will take the job because it's a citizen/volunteer military/policing society. I know you want to think it's otherwise but you're out of luck so wise the **** up.
I hate white people too, you and your sad ilk annoy the **** out me.

Was it really necessary to associate sanitation workers with Vikings? Out of bounds.
Let's remove all the sanitation workers after they remove all the Vikings?

Donuts are the fabric of our country...after the police, of course.

Yes it was. Someone has to clean up all the Viking ship debris on the bottom of the ocean.
That's cold.
