Well deserved and now GB has it's biggest impending FA locked up. Can turn their focus on the other guys once the offseason hits but Daniels was the #1 priority. Glad they got it addressed prior to the end of the season

This deal had to get done, and I'm glad Daniels didn't wait until the off-season.  That says something about Daniels and his loyalty to the Pack. It is well deserved.  As for comments on his run defense, it is much improved this year.  No, he's not a juggernaut there and never will be given his size, but he's a disruptive pass-rushing DL and those are hard to find.

"Daniels was nearing the end of his rookie deal after four very good seasons in Wisconsin. So far, 2015 has been his masterpiece. Daniels is playing the run better than any 3-4 defensive end in football, with only J.J. Watt coming close."

How is this possible? From what I have been reading, he gets blown out quite often.

The other good thing about signing him now is this offseason could be brutal for the defense. Ostensibly, their top-three OLBs are all free agents, as was their slotted starting defensive line.

He earned it and TT understood that the price was just continuing to rise.

Same thing that Randall Cobb said. Somebody's doing something right at 1265.

@ByRyanWood: Money is critical, but #Packers DE Mike Daniels made one thing clear to agent: "I wanted to be in Green Bay." So no need to wait till March.

@ByRyanWood: Mike Daniels: "Everybody said, 'You'd be stupid to leave the #Packers.'" He agreed.

Ringo will be replacing Guion. Raji won't break the bank if he walks.

Looks like the process has begun for Mike Pennel to start getting more of Guion's snaps. Pennel has been more effective at the 5 tech even though he's better suited for nose- not the case with the dope dealer.

What do you base your bold statement about Ringo ?

What's Clark & Daniels going to do under Pettine?

Interesting, but I think it'll be more interesting to see what the Packers will do in free agency and the draft under Gutekunst.

Would not surprise me at all to see Clay and Josh Jones lined up next to each other as ILB’s next year.

The beauty of Pettine is that he’s got no loyalty to anyone on defense. Best players will play in spots that fit best.

Hopefully KICK ASS.  Wait, a kick ass defense?

Somebody shoot me...

Martinez led the NFL in tackles in year 2, I think who ever moves to ILB will be next to him. Kid is a tackling machine and has a bright future.
