Based on his comments about playing special teams I doubt he's going to be amenable to switching positions. And after watching/reading about his family situation, I'm curious to see how he works with the Packers S&C program. This kids crossroads is going to be whether he does what he's told to do by his team or does with his daddy tells him to do. He's talented, I hope he can get on board with what the team wants because he will consistently be unemployed otherwise. He's not OBJ or Tom Brady, no team will take BS from a WR low on the depth chart.

Regarding DH13's twitter link. That guy has had serious wood over Trevor Davis since he was drafted. He thinks Davis is the missing link for the offense and GB has failed to utilize his speed effectively.

That he thinks St Brown should consider becoming a TE isn't surprising. The last thing he wants is for one of these three WR's to come in and put Trevor out of a job.

I honestly forgot Trevor Davis was still on the team. Whatever happened to that LSU WR from last year they picked in R6, he was supposed to be some great value like St. Brown? The kid from Purdue they took is still with the team isn't he, he had some physical skill but looked lost in TC last year. Perhaps our new Passing Game Coordinator can teach all of these great physical talents how to play WR more effectively then the last "up and comer" WR coach. Seems like we have half a dozen guys (including Davis) that have tons of physical skill, but haven't put it all together. That must have been TT's type recently, seems like we have/had a lot of guys that fit that mold.

Adams, Cobb, Clark, Geronimo, Moore, St Brown.

I think those are the 6 WR's on the 53 IF GB decides to go with 6 WR's instead of the traditional 5.

Scantling could swipe a spot from St Brown if St Brown decides he doesn't care or maybe from Geronimo but I think Geronimo is pretty safe. Davis and Yancey are probably in trouble.

If GB decides to go with only 5 WR's then St Brown best bust his ass the entire camp because I think Moore is going to be impressive.

Keeping 5 or 6 WRs will probably come down to whether they carry 3 or 4 HBs and the decision on whether to carry 2 or 3 TEs

Right now, you'd have to think that Montgomery, Jones, and Williams are locks at RB with Mays on the bubble. Let's assume they keep 1 FB: Ripkowski

At TE, they currently have Graham, Kendricks, and Emmanuel Byrd. Graham has never been a good blocker, so Kendricks is likely to play that role. Byrd is the only other guy on the depth chart right now.

They'll likely keep at most two players out of Devonte Mays, Byrd, or the 6th WR. If you had to bet right now, I'd say they keep only TEs.

There always seems to be some buzz regarding Clark.  But he is as short on WR experience as he is long in anatomy.  It was a bit surprising to see him make some plays in the regular season late last year but who knows.  Maybe he turns into a unicorn.  All the "measureables" guys are the result of taking WR's late in the draft and late in the pecking order.  Did it again this year so you take some chances and hope at least one of them stick.  Tough bet considering Driver was the last post RD3 receiver to start in GB.  I would agree that Moore seems to be the most polished player of this year's bunch.  But really rooting for St. Brown to have an awakening.

I think Clark's potential is higher than Scantling, Yancey, and Davis. And I only say that because he spent most of last year on the PS before playing in the final 3 games of 2017 and flashed a little ability. I think GB really likes him. That and he's 6'6".

It is going to be quite the battle at WR in camp though.

And Rodgers has loved him since day 1, when he was still a scout team guy.

[Moved from a different thread]

I haven't read all that much about St. Brown, but the questions of his motivation makes me wonder which of three groups he falls in.

1) Is he like Moss where his ego is bigger than football, so that importance of the situation has to match his ego before he will put forth enough effort?

2) Does he enjoy football but in the grand scheme of things, other aspects of life are simply more important to him than football?

3) Is he just lazy and even if he enjoys football, it's hard for that to translate to motivation and effort?

The first would make him a cancer to his team, the third may mean he's a pleasant enough guy but he'll never reach his full potential.  The second is potentially correctable with a guy like Rodgers and his teammates.  Maybe football doesn't matter as much, but work ethic and letting down his teammates do matter.  In that case he could be a guy who burns bright with talent and success but then retires early because he's satisfied with what he's achieved and he's ready for something else in life.  I hope it's the second.

Dr. Bob:

Rumors, speculation and paranoia that there is a Lavar Ball comparison with his Dad, from what I've read. Parents are overbearing:  Dad wants pro athletes, Mom wants cultured minds.  I think the worry is he's going to rebel and end up a head case.

It's a symptom of today's society that parents pushing their kids to succeed is somehow a negative thing.  In my opinion and personal experience, the opposite is true.

Then there's during his college career he made statements along the lines of, "It's just football."  My response: This is a true statement by a freaking college student, that even if it raises a red flag (debatable), he completely erased it by his statements after the draft.  He was pissed he fell.  So even if there had been a motivation issue, it's gone now, replaced by a big old chip on his shoulder.  It's perfect.  It's a dynamic that worked pretty good on guys like Aaron Rodgers and Randy Moss.

Lastly, he didn't want to play Special Teams in college.  Pshaw:  I wouldn't either if I were him (in fact I hated playing special teams).  He's trying to preserve his body for an NFL career, yet he lacks motivation for NFL football?  Ha Ha! Make up your mind!

Joke's on the rest of the League.  We stole this kid in the 6th.

Wow, he's a giant.  He looks twice as big as the two guys to his left.  The stories were true.

To be fair, he's closer than the other two in those photos.  It's an optical illusion fishermen use to make their catch look bigger.

Still, I'd like to see the look on Aaron's face when he sees that photo.  Those are some athletes.
