On paper I’d rather face the Saints.

Tampa has those terrific ILBs that gave the Pack fits earlier this year.  They’ve got 3 very talented WRs plus Gronk.  Their QB has done it all and seen it all including eviscerating Mike Pettine’s defense just a couple months ago.

Both teams will be a challenge but Tampa on paper would be the more difficult challenge to overcome.

I don't think either of them are going to beat GB.  There's a special vibe going on with this team.  We've all seen it before.  These MFers are going to win the Super Bowl.

Any word on Crosby's injury?

2020 New Orleans game

I recently rewatched that great game from earlier in this season that was played in the Superdome.

A couple observations:

--No Davante Adams. He was missed.

--No Kenny Clarke. He was missed.

--Kirksey was not yet playing WILL LB and left early due to injury.

--Ty Summers was given the green dot helmet. Last time ever, I predict. Barnes is better.

--Lazard was studly, but he got injured and needed surgery. If he ever gets healthy again, he could be something.

--Summers with a total whiff and Redmond too on that long Kamara screen pass TD that should have been, at best, a short gain.

--Kevin King was horrible. HORRIBLE. I know many on this board defend him, say he lets Jaire be Jaire, but I’ll be OK if he’s gone next year as long as they draft or sign his replacement. In this game when he pressed, he held and got called. Too often he did what he did in the Bears game, give 14 yards space on a third and nine. Idiot. Don’t believe me, go back and look. Gave up a lot of receptions. Don’t know what his PFF score for that game was but the next time I see 50 drunk Irishmen in a bar I’ll ask them.

--Sweet ending. The Legendary Taysom Hill fumbles, we get a Field goal. D makes a great stop after the kickoff with great tackles by Barnes and Chandon Sullivan on Kamara forcing the punt after a three-and-out and we go on a long, time-consuming drive scoring a TD. That’s winning football. Give Brees the ball back with two minutes to make up 10 points, not gonna happen. It didn’t. They got a field goal and we ended the game by getting the onside kick. Several small things helped that finish including MLF waiting till the last second to challenge a non-TD rush by Jones, thus wasting time and also the two minute warning in the process. Just smart coaching.

--The Saints are horrible in outdoor, cold weather playoff games. Just look at the record. I believe they even lost to the Bears once at Soldier Field. Seahawks, too, in Seattle with that long Beast Mode run. They are hot house flowers.

Bank it. We’re going to the Super Bowl.

Lazard to me is a deep threat even without MVS's speed. Not sure why. Just a smart player.

Moose pointed out after his TD, and then Baldinger this morning, it's because of his reputation and effectiveness as a blocker in the run game.  They/He sold the run 100% on his TD which left the two guys covering his side of the field flat footed just long enough for him to run by them.

The Saints are more balanced on offense than TB. And Kamara is the type of RB that could give us problems.  Still, I’m not afraid of that team.

The Bucs gave us all sorts of problems in Tampa, but let’s not forget the Packers were up 10-0 and moving the ball and the pick 6 completely flipped the game.

Whomever the opponent, I’m glad they get them at home.  It’s an advantage no matter which team they play - Saints or Bucs.

Don't like it.  they are all a bunch of punks and will try to manhandle us like the first time.  question is, can we man up - this will be a mano-a-mano game.  suh will kick guys, 23 will bitch slap guys, will be step up and kick them in the head?

If you don't think that the NFL would love nothing more than to see a (Tom Brady take his new team to the Super Bowl, which just so happens to be in that teams home city), story I've got news for you. This is scripted exactly the way the NFL wants it...a big holding call that really isn't, or a PI that isn't, you name it..It will be timely whatever it is, if the NFL has anything to say about it.

45 is a loud mouth too, we need to shut his ass up.

Let’s hope so.  Both he and Lavonte David were dominant vs the Pack in the first matchup.  I think they held Aaron Jones to like 1.9 yards per carry and beat Packers RBs on blitzes multiple times.
